It's an attempt to deflect. The responses to this tactic are buried in this thread somewhere. I replied to this tweet though to let them know it won't work.

Holding the line.

I disagree that this is another simple deflection. All of their deflections so far have been noncomittal "we're listening" responses. This was a flat out "we think it would be wrong to change the ending". Now that doesn't mean they won't offer some extra endings DLC and leave the current ones.

Hold the line.

11:1 in our favor.
Think about it.
There are 11 of us for each 1 of them.
They can't be that bad at basic math, right?

Right! My point being they may have a lot, but we have more.
What was the word in the tweet? Many? A lot? what ever it was it's an arbitrary statement.

I don't know if some of you guys kinda skimmed through the ME3 Leaked Script late last year... but i decided to cross-reference. No, Bioware didn't have a limited time or EA's pressure. The writer really did create those endings. And honestly, as I've mentioned before--- it sounds good on paper... but it doesn't maintain any respect towards the manner in which the playthroughs occurred.

Here's a link to the Leaked Script. You can cross-reference on your own.

you also have to wonder how many 'people' in the likes endings group are actually EA bots. They have done practices like this before. Honsetly this wouldn't even be low by EA standards.

I get your point, i was just sayng it is hard to etablish dialogue with people who actual don't want it, his reply is clearly provocative.
If someone wants to step in, it should just be informative, but not directly talking to the guy.
A well, i'll go to sleep soon, too tired to care much about that kind of provocation, and after reading ING G4 and such, i'm pretty cold and untouched by their attempt to shake or diminish the movement.
Media are too often tool for propaganda, it's always the same key words, the machinal sentences "minority blablabla, thinks they have the right to blablabla, of cause they are wrong blablabla, making them ridiculous blablabla".

One thing is sure... it's not only Bioware is watching how is it going, all major companys takes notes of what is happening here, and they would be wrong to take this case as a "minority of whinny kids".

Right now, i have the feeling that at Bethesda they are thinking "dude... Bioware is proving us Broken Steel was the right call, glad we dodged that sh*tstorm kept our fan base, and made money out of it".

Forgive me if I sounded rude there.
Rest up, and just for kicks, check out that article again.
If the people there are singing a somewhat different tune than before,
we've done our job.
And yeah, Bethesda makes a hell of an effort to keep the fans happy,
because they know damn well there wouldn't be a Bethesda without them.
Without us.
Rest up.

You didn't sound rude, or even thought you were by any mean, your point is totaly valide.
Thanks,  though, i'll be checking back in a few hours.

HOLDING THE LINE!

I'm not really looking to place blame upon any specific person. I'm holding the whole company responsible. I have nothing against the employees. I am sure they work hard. I am sure they want to do right by their fans. As their fans, it is our duty to let them know when we do not think they have done so.

Our choices should matter. Hold the line.

I do hope that BioWare realizes it's not just the people here in the community that are upset by the ending. I'm a tester at Sony, and almost everyone I've talked to that's beaten the game thought the endings were terrible, and none of them are community members here. One of them even said that he was okay with the endings, but only because "it means that they're going to release ending DLC later on, and that just means more Mass Effect." When I asked him what he'd think if there was no ending DLC later, he just said "that's terrible and it'd make no sense."

He's only okay with the endings because he thinks the only logical conclusion is that there'll be additional ending content in the future. He's only one person, and you can't make sweeping statements based off of a few examples, but my other co-workers feel the same, and from what others are saying their friends are of similar mind.

Evidence seems to be pointing to the fact that what we got was the intention all along and that the Indoctrination Theory seems to be false. If that is the case, and if BioWare doesn't decide to do anything with DLC, then I really hope they take the time to seriously consider the things that have been said and don't just marginalize our views as so many media outlets have done. Maybe not for ME3, but at least so they get a better idea of why people reacted the way they did for their future titles.

Regardless, how this whole thing turns out is going to be very interesting, and I for one am definitely hoping that we get some information out of BioWare soon. But whatever happens, great job on staying (mostly) civil and keep on staying that way. And thanks to those of you who have contributed to the thread. Keep holding the line, ladies and gentlemen.

I know that they are two seperate studios, but that's what I was expecting for ME3.  I wanted to know what happened to everyone, even if it was brief.  Personally, I didn't think the ending was all that bad, if it could of been one of the possible 16.  The indoctrination theory has given me a lot of hope, and it's what I currently believe in.  But for now, I'll stick to these forums and back up each and every one of you.

Welcome aboard, NightHawk18! (love the Avatar)

My brother and I were just discussing how MGS4 tied things up so well, and never really made us feel bored. Exhausted, maybe, but the long denouement felt necessary for a series with as complex a story as that one. Mass Effect 3 needed exactly that- a long series of goodbyes *after* the main event, to let the heroes let go of their duties and finally find peace.

So, again, welcome to the line!

I'm pretty new here, post wise. Just before launch I would come to these forums to see the latest news, I was so excited for this game. I started seeing topics and posts about how bad the endings are. It seemed like there were sooo many negative things to say in general, this just wasn't a pleasant place to be for me. Either way I wasn't going to believe it just like that, had to play it myself.

O, the disappointment. I've chipped in to RME3, will do so again when I can. A friend and I were sharing sentiments, and it made me realize how much this resembles a war, even the ME3 war, lol.
Thanks to ATG for the insider perspective. Kinda icky but that's why it's behind curtains I suppose~

Thanks! MGS4 is the only game I've really never gotten bored with, just as you said.  I have almost 8 playthroughs and it still has the same spark each time I play it.  I'm hoping something turns up soon, but if not, I can be patient as well.

PS your Avatar is pretty awesome as well :P

Well it's not meant for us. If they are against or trying to get around making an ending they wont confront us directly because they know we wont change our mind and we wont back down. So they need to get third parties involved in order to attract new people and to win over those who are floating in the middle.
This is where words like many and a lot come in handy.

So another Angry Joe ME3 related review is going up in a couple of hours. This thread is following it. The OP link is currently down, but apparently the vid will be back up soon - some technical difficulties to iron out or what all. This deals with the Indoctrination Theory apparently. I'll be in bed by the time it comes back up, I'm sure, but I'll check it out tomorrow. Apparently his tone in it is much like it was for the review on the ending (which I guess is very different from his usual approach?). Anyway, thought I'd link the thread/give a heads up.

It's past midnight here and kiddos get up all sorts of early.
All quiet on the Eastern front -- someone take my place while I grab some shut eye. ;)
Much love everyone! Be well!
