Just logging on here (midday in Australia) - have seen there have been some heated words, bit of Bioware contact, etc. Walk it off, people - to be honest, nothing has changed. Or at least it hasn't for me. We're all here because we care about the Mass Effect series and because we think the endings really weren't up to scratch in quality. Chins up, back on the line, etc.

P.S - What we're really missing is bongo drums or a guitar - something to make this sit-in a bit more lively! On that note, does anyone have any good on-topic links that have surfaced in the last half day or so?

I also apologized to Mattynutz for calling him out on this thread for behavior even if I don't agree with it. What is wrong with people trying to analyse the PR response from Bioware? It's not like we were talking to a writer or a programmer. Communicating with us is part of her day job, even if talking to us on her personal twitter is not.

Exactly, she should be triple reading her writing before answering us because some of her language makes me feel like I'm being talked down by a high school teacher. I am tired of people from Bioware complaining about deconstructive criticism when most of us have been calm and nice about this. It is annoying that they concentrate on that particular subgroup of people who insult them and not thank the people who have tried to give them constructive criticism.

Honestly I don't care how the ending is fixed as long as it makes sense and fits in with all the rest of the game. I don't think we need 16 endings, but it would be nice if they are able to give us a few different outcomes that really do reflect the choices we made as was promised before the game was released. I just want to feel that all the time I put into playing through the game to see how it all ends is worth it. Please make it an end worthy of Shepard BioWare!

Well, the best way to do it would be to go out into the BSN and remind everyone that it's what got us here.  I'm sure if enough people buy in that it will propagate from there.

i think its pretty funny how people say to stay on topic in this thread, if we literally did that we would discuss nothing but PR and then the thread would be closed because it wasn't a game play discussion. however discussing someones GAMEPLAY is somehow off topic lol

She's done a lot of good for us, she keeps documentation of the types of things we would like changed about the ending and gets them to the various departments. She has tried hard to make sure we are heard. She stopped posting ME related matters on her twitter as she was sick of people reading into every little thing she posts over and over. I think we should stop. I guess we are talking about two different things here. I've made no efforts to troll her, and I do not approve of anyone else doing so. She responded to many of my tweets in a reasonably forthright way, and she seems a geniune person.

I think that's part of the problem. Corporate PR is what it is. The crisis management that is going on is fairly obvious. But it seemed like people wanted to assume that Jessica was some sort of evil arm of that PR machine. She's not. That's not really her job description.

Her job is to listen and sympathize and try and keep people happy and engaged. If people want to get mad a being spoken to in corporate doublespeak, then the subject of their ire should be the statements from Mr. Hudson & Mr.

Just keep the twitter and letter campaigns going, and wait for opportunities to present themselves (IGN spoilercast on ending, media coverage, etc.). But the most important thing you can do is remain civil, and spread the message to anyone else who is NOT civil.

I think it's important to note at this time that there are 3 really big threads on the BSN, this one, the Child's Play one, and the one with the title like, "so we can't have the endings we want" or whatever.  Only two of these actually satisfy the original intent of this board, storyline discussion.  I think that treading on the mods good graces in this manner might be detrimental.  We have some level of protection in that we've managed to keep on topic and civil, and that killing this or the Child's Play thread would probably be akin to PR suicide, but if we get crazy then they will shut us down anyway.

In my humbe opinion we should move on to more constructive, thread-related topics.

Eh, I will stay suspicious.  That line from Dr. Ray could be as much PR as the rest of his little letter.
