I think we would be better served to get the Forbes articles up to the top rather than the facebook page, though I'd like to at least google bomb the charity up there as well.

Poor BW, because of this topic they can't even do proper damage control. Everything they say now will be analyzed, dissected and turned against them.
And they are concerned, considering that they tried to reply here.
I think right now they are trying to decide which is more profitable. Leave things as they are, weather loss of some fans (you know, the loyal ones, that made their company successful), and hope that the new fans will make up for it. Or admit that they made mistake, and spend some of their profits on creating additional endings. So far, most of the time they select first option.

I actually played some MP today but then while waiting for the game to load, I looked in the forums and I felt guilty. I stopped playing. To my squad mates, I'm sorry for deserting you but I had to go back and hold the line.

As much as I hate the ending, and believe me I do, I won't be the fan that dehumanizes the developers. I joined the fight being civil, but I won't support any kind of movement that treats the same guys that brought us the other 99% of the game we loved like crap. They probably have to calculate their every word that gets out there in order to come out the best way possible, buy you guys are doing the same.

Every time some one comes out saying something mild, some of you step in saying something demeaning. Standing to your idea doesn't have to get messy. It's not like the whole game sucks. They are starting to respond and acknowledge. however vague, at least acknowledge that and let's move on from there.

There's nothing that I hate more than being called by the media entitled, raging fan, or childish. As such, I wont be a hypocrite. I wan't a better ending for Mass Effect, but not at the price of my principles.

Keep civil you guys.

Edit: spelling

We are being "handled" ... by a corporation who knows how to "handle" us.

Hold the line.

Right now, the whole series just feels like a great TV show that had me hooked, then decided to end with an explosion and 'to be continued'. However with TV shows, we know they get cancelled so the cliffhanger ending is -almost- excusable. With ME, it's a Games's Publisher with a lot of money, and a Developer that until now had mostly been able to survive mass criticism. Now though? It feels like they believe they're immune from this kind of backlash.
The ending would have almost been better had it ripped off Angel's.

I played and completed DA II, and like a lot of people found it to be disappointing. I also know from friends and even myself that a lot of people had duped themselves into thinking 'well, they've dropped the ball with this series, but it's surely an indication of how hard at work they are on making ME absolutely perfect'. We of course now know that they managed to drop the ball -again-.

And it because of this that I can no longer play a series I loved so much. I haven't even tried MP, and I don't intend to. I also will never pre-order another game (from anyone) again, as I feel the industry has completely and possibly irreversably lost touch with their original goals.

I know some might say that a company will always strive to make money first, but I remember the little note to players EA themselves published with Haunting. One that felt honest about what the company represented. If I had the manual at hand, I'd type it out as it was something that wholly contradicts what EA now are.

A lot of that is very defeatist, and I can acknowledge that it would appear that I've given up. I haven't. I still hold onto some hope that Bioware can make great games. Until this debacle is resolved however, it doesn't really matter.

I sincerely hope that Mass Effect (the entire series) gets an ending it fully deserves. One that allows for us as players to have the same level of interaction as we expected to have, to show us how each choice we made mattered. Sure we know races took part in the final battle, but without any indication of who made it, it's like The Hobbit ending at the final battle with Smaug, just as it kicks off. I hope that if there are questions left unasnwered, they will be titillating ones. Questions that leave us hungry for more, not feeling as though we're trapped somewhere and merely asking 'why'.

We as customers have every right to demand a better ending. Its like selling an incomplete game to your fans. This is simply unacceptable and we should stay strong until we get what we want, ignoring all their delay/deflect tactics.

Hold the line, stop playing MP/SP until we get proper answers

This is exactly what I mean (with my other post) :/... We have every right to demand, it's not the same thing as having the right to get it. I want a better ending, but in the end, it's not up to us. And then comes the "don't play move"... Why? It is already established that the game is otherwise enjoyable, barring the lackluster ending. Keep the spirit of the movement up, channel the energy to something positive, not negative...

Well i'm in for the long run, watching bioware's PR screw up is more entertaining then anything else.

Technically they aren't screwing up, they're doing exactly what their job entails, which at the moment is stonewalling and deflecting us and hoping it dies down. I'm just happy to see it's effect is being curtailed by our resolution.

I can play ME2, right? I was playing it this week before they announced the MP thing for ME3. I don't want the powers that be to take any person playing any Mass Effect title as participants.

Could I play Dragon Age instead, or should I completely shut off my BW/EA reservoir?

I think some of the people here who are underestimating the MP factoids are also underestimating the number of people out there who are mad hungry for MP content. I'd like to see how many people have got lvl 20's without even touching the SP.

This thread is entertaining me more then the game endings!

Nice reads over here everyone, don't fall for crap!

If it's not "we are making a new ending", don't respond, don't cheer, don't give congrats and thanks and etc.

I for one, am not playing the multiplayer since yesterday, since i read this topic. I keep getting invited to it, but i always send them the link to this topic in response xD

Already got some more ppl to our cause.

Come to think of it... maybe it was their plan to make the last ten minutes of the game exactly like this and then watch us unite globally and Hold the Line until we are loud enough to get what we want.

Talk about IRL Reaper conflict here.

Jokes aside. Norwegian Fleet is Holding the Line. o>

I have to agree with the majority on this one. But you know they have to be saying "I told you they didnt want the same ending with different colors."

Moral of the story?

"Lots of speculation for everyone!!!" isn't the best way to end a trilogy. Especially when that speculation breeds contempt for your company.

Hold that line.

They're probably laughing at us and counting what money is coming in while planning how bad they'll make ME4. Their PR damage control seems to be doing as much damage as the original issue. I'm actually surprised they didn't say to shut down the forum so this didn't turn into such a big story.

Sup, man.

A: Your sig is broken.

B: You are a badass mother****er and I'm glad I don't know you IRL because I'd have no idea how to repay you for all the awesome things you're doing for the community.

...that's all :)

A.  I'm such an old gamer, my banner keeps falling asleep. :)

B.  Thank you, but I'm one voice.  The real "badass" on the field atm is the 30,000+ headed hydra called Disenfranchised Fanbase.

Right behind said hydra are the Retake/Child's Play movement and of course Marauder Shields.
