Finishing Mass Effect and then coming to the ending and decide you don´t like it and to return it to the store is just the same thing to me. If you truly did not like it, you would not have played it to the end before returning it.
or perhaps I am mistaking in it
The part we don't like, indeed, the part that ruined the franchise for some of us, is the part at the very end of the game. We didn't know we were dissatisfied customers until the last 10 minutes, but after that last 10 minutes? I can't even turn on my Xbox anymore it was so bad, and it retroactively ruined the entire game for me. I think that qualifies as "deciding I don't like it". I could understand your sentiment if the rest of the game was garbage, but in this case, it's the very end that ruins the whole experience.
Hold the Line

I've been a fan of Mass effect since launch, on a cold november in 2007. Then I got to the ending. I'm on the fence when it comes to this ending. On one hand, I think it was clever what they did if the indoctrination theory holds true. However...
This may have been intentional for building DLC, and I can't still can't shake that feeling after all this time. I'm constantly reminded of the last 2 episodes of NGE, an ending that enraged fans to a similar degree, and it had eventually caused the director to produce, surprise, an alternate ending:
End of Evangelion.
I get the feeling BioWare had intended to do it this way; how else do you sell DLC to a game that's essentially wrapped up all loose ends? Yes, DLC with a normal ending would sell moderately, but watch fans go nuts over paid DLC for a "real" ending? That's detestable... a risky move as well.
Here is my bottom line:
If this Downloadable content is not
a) Mind-Bogglingly High-Quality to the point people will be cheering it unanimously from their balconies going "I'm happy as hell, and I'm going to play it some more!"...
or
Count me out. I love the game. I think the ending was clever. But another $10 for something that may have been planned out from the start? I think Sten can answer the question for you.
No.

This is pretty much what I expected the ending to be like, and I'm here, holding the line, to get this, or something similar.
I see no point in returning my CE, because I don't hate Mass Effect and I'm not yet done with it. I absolutely love the game and my emotional involvement is the reason I'm here, trying to get the ending that I feel I deserve. So, I'll be holding on to my game copy, because when we win (did Shepard ever voice his doubts about winning? Neither should we.) I'll be playing it again.
BioWare created Shepard and raised a whole generation of gamers on him/her. Shepard's fight for the lost, her/his firm belief and willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve the goal, is my inspiration, and I'm sure, yours as well. After all, WE are Shepard, and we will do whatever it takes. BioWare taught us that through three games and countless epic missions. We ended wars just by yelling, for heavens' sake. They cannot expect us just to recoil and accept life as it is. Not after we lived a lifetime as Shepard.
So I want a real ending that makes sense, reflects my choices and is in tune with the universe, and I'm holding my ground.

I truly hope Bioware will fix the ending, it was a brilliant game but the ending was a betrayal of the characters, themes and lore.
I would be lying if I said I will never by a bioware game again, but I definitively won't be buying ME3 DLC, and will wait for reviews in the future. Hopefully you can restore my confidence.

Hey look, branching choices and consequences. Sort of like the suicide mission.
Perhaps it needs to be written down on a napkin with "speculations" across the bottom!
Allright sarcasm aside (as that's not what we want to be seen as). This is what, or rather a good example of how the ending could have been handled.
Yeah, I haven't read through all of it, but from what I've seen it does look miles better than the 'pick a colour' ending we got.

Be it paragon or renegade, our Shepard fought for the good of the galaxy.
Giving us absurd endings to our own personal stories was over the line.
Now, we will rally the forces of Mass Effect fandom as Shepard had with the
races of the galaxy. In Shepard's spirit, we will hold the line.
Why? Because the galaxy, let alone Shepard, deserves better than this.
Bioware, if you do not heed our call, we will strike. But know we do not want to.
It might come down as numbers and pie charts and money to you,
but to us it is about the spirit of triumph. It is about justice.
Sacrifices will be made, if you do not listen and fix this debacle.
On both sides, mind you. However, for us, the sacrifice is already made,
knowing of what happens to our beloved universe.
Make this right. Or face our wrath.
My friends, we are one voice. As Legion would say,
WE ARE LEGION.
And we will never stop.
Do not lose hope.
Do not lose composure.
Shepard would never do either.
All of you know this.
If the Mass Effect universe is ended with this whimper,
we will make sure that so does Bioware.
Do not underestimate us.
WE are STRONG

Seeing as this is in the game (ash says part of the 2nd verse at some point) its about not giving up and which is probably why it was used. These are the last two lines of the same poem by William Earnest Henley which i feel probably resonate the most with me, im also sorry if someones posted it before:
"I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.”
― William Ernest Henley, Invictus
Hold the line guys.
