Guys, we need to start organizing. If Bioware is in this for the long haul, we need to be too.

Agreed.  We need to be ready.  Hold the line!

Joining the group is the first step. We can work out the finer points once we acquire what we need.

Look at my sig for the group link.

Till then,
Hold The Line!
(Who came up with that as our line? He's a bloody genius!"

You guys in the US might be happy to hear, that over here in germany the current situation also reached the non gaming medias. For example the biggest weekly news paper is aware of the protest movement and started posting articles about it.
The main gaming magazines, once defending Bioware and ME3, started asking serious questions. It is certainly too late for Bioware to just "sit it out"
Even if a dont think this entire "indoctrination theory" is that great, there are a lot of fans who do think this would be the best way for Bioware to "clean up the mess" Also the ME3 multiplayer mode is not that popular in europe. Those who want to play online shooters mostly prefere BF3 or MW3.
Before ME3 has been released, i hoped for some kind of Happyending sequence just like in the movie "Independence day". Most of us would love another confrontation with Harbinger (this toaster is so much fun ^^). So always remember: You are not alone across the big lake. Over here we are also mobilizing the onlinemagazines and newspapers. The asian market is about to follow, as far as i heared the fans over there are also upset.

Hold the line! As Shepard says: We fight or we die, thats the plan!

@atghunter How important is it to keep up the frenetic pace the boards have been going at through the entire weekend. It seems that the Friday PR moves put on by Bioware are in the vein of fire-and-forget, in that they leave them here and let them have their effect while they take the weekend off (relatively). Could the same be done for our movement? If the pace slows down over the weekend, letting everyone recoup from the crazy amounts of energy they've expended, and then comes back full-force on Monday, will the end result be any different, or will they look at the subsiding activity over the weekend and see it as progress being made?

I created a poll to determine what we think BioWare's attitude towards the uproar is.  Vote here and Don't Forget to Hold the Line.

Signing things like Bioware support petitions seems counterproductive. bioware hasn't even stated anything and people are already making suport resolutions....... please don't be so quick to sign these things. Thank you...

Great to hear! Hopefully the gaming community in Germany has access to some of the conversations from all over; so that all gamers can make informed decisions. :)

There's no voodoo at work here - I'm just sitting on my couch reading this on my iPad, it has been a difficult week, I'm very tired.

Mr. Lee
You mentioned it's been a difficult week. Out of curiosity, why has it been a difficult week?

Again out of curiosity, and if you don't mind me asking are you a (just) forum moderater or one of the developers?

Im the senior marketing guy....one of them. Have been for the whole franchise really. I can't tell if your question is serious or if yer messing with me :)  the fan reaction is difficult to watch, after all the hard work basically. I'm not a moderator really, just an employee.

We do understand that. You have all put a lot of time and effort into this series. THAT is exactly why a good 60-70% of your fanbase is riled up. This series is just TOO GOOD to end on a sour note with all of this outrage.

It's an great game and an amazing series rivaling that of series like Star Wars. It NEEDS an ending worthy of a series of this caliber. The choices that we have made throughout all 3 epics NEED to be reflected in the ending.

I don't know how high up you are, but you are one of the few employees that are not ignoring us or "answering" really vaguely, while at the same time insisting that you clearly answered the question.

It's just nice to know that there are still people at Bioware who don't think that all their fans have an IQ below 70. We do know when we're being fed PR-Bull.

I know you may not be able to answer, but if I may ask, are there people at Bioware that think there may actually be some truth to the fan's argument? I'm not trying to corner you, I'm just curious as to how the Bioware employees feel about the current ending. Are they as split as the fanbase?

Thank you for your time, and thank you for your work on (forgetting the ending) the best Sci-Fi Epic in years.

To those it'll concern, The MP event was planned way before they even knew about this backlash, cut them SOME slack.

If if goes more than another week without more, non-fake, olive branches i'd assume we need to start going into the group forum and organizing like Strikers. rotating days so we don't get burned out but can keep up the pace. refresh our batteries and know we have support entrenched.

Just bumping this, but don't forget the end of the fiscal quarter isn't until March 31st. I'd expect some news the first day in April.

Finishing Mass Effect and then coming to the ending and decide you don´t like it and to return it to the store is just the same thing to me.  If you truly did not like it, you would not have played it to the end before returning it.

or perhaps I am mistaking in it

The part we don't like, indeed, the part that ruined the franchise for some of us, is the part at the very end of the game.  We didn't know we were dissatisfied customers until the last 10 minutes, but after that last 10 minutes?  I can't even turn on my Xbox anymore it was so bad, and it retroactively ruined the entire game for me.  I think that qualifies as "deciding I don't like it".  I could understand your sentiment if the rest of the game was garbage, but in this case, it's the very end that ruins the whole experience.

Hold the Line

Honestly Cyrrant I feel the same way. I finished Mass Effect 3 last sunday and since then I just haven't had the drive to even switch my Xbox on. I look at it and sort of go 'nah' personally I think that it is a really dissapointing way to end an otherwise truly fantastic game series. Just to give you an idea how much I care when I first bought Mass Effect 1 on a whim the disk broke but I had already fallen for the whole universe so I got a refund copy that died on me as well I bought a brand new copy from a new outlet that broke as well so I bought....wait for it............a new Xbox and I never looked back until now.

But thanks to this unsatisfactory ending Mass Effect 1&2 have lost the replayability factor that I loved so much. On the flip side I thought the rest of Mass Effect 3 and 1&2 where truly phenomenal pieces of both gamplay and narratives. Thank you Casey Hudson and the Bioware team for a wondeful saga but please honour your fans and at least consider adding an alternative ending that resurects that narrative gold that seems to have been misplaced in the final 10 minutes of Mass Effect 3

HOLD THE LINE!!!

Regardless whether the MP was planned before or not, I'm still boycotting it for the simple reason of getting our message across. Hit them where their wallets are, and maybe then they'll be more receptive to us.

The fact of the matter is that we're not going to get what we want without a few sacrifices. MP is just one of the few, but if this works out, it'll be all the more worth it in the end.

We just need to wait them out longer than they wait us out. If we give up, they win.
