*snip*
So unless somthing changes I have wasted £60 (well not wasted as I enjoyed alot of it, but £60 is alot of money for somthing that I don't want to play again)
If that was what Bioware wanted then well done to them but I will be very wary of buying anything with a Bioware logo on it again.
if not if it is part of some paln then they have tried somthing VERY diffrent but I'm not sure that I will freel the same way about Bioware being a quality prodcer again, and that I guess from a company stand point is very bad I guess.
I work for a hotel and there is a theory that if a customer has a bad experience they will tell 20 people. If they have a good one they might tell 5, if you have a customer that has a bad experiende but you fix it for them excedding expectations then they become one of the most loyal customers you can have,,,,THAT is how Bioware get out of this smelling of roses
I will hold the line
but not sure for how much longer I can only care about a game for so long

Atghunter, I've seen alot of people cancelling their Star Wars: Old Republic accounts in protest. I would like your opinion on whether or not you see this as a valid and viable tactic. Do you think it helps or hurts this movement?

I love BioWares stuff and so eagerly await their games. They do everything right for my tastes, ya know. And I don't mind the endings so much, they were poor but the rest of the game overshadows it so much it doesnt bother me a great deal. The review bombings just break my heart.
I hope you all can continue to do this constructively and get some sort of satisfactory response. Just please try not to mortally wound the only game developer that really does it right for me, okay? :-) And if there's a section of the line thats specifically for expressing disgust in the MP being necessary for one of the SP endings, I'll actually help that section to....Hold...The...Line.

collecting my team
acquiring their loyalty
and upgrading my ship
was taken into account into the ending as a whole, and my options in the ending changed along too with it.
Why couldn't Bioware have done this to the final game in their series especially since the gravity of your decisions were much greater. If we reunited each race in the galaxy or made a grave error such as getting one allying through deception why did it not reflect in our ending.
Yes I want a good ending where Shepard lives and the reapers are done for (despite it being somewhat unrealistic) but hell I would settle for an ending where he died, being the end of his story and all yet the ending we received in ME3 just shocked me because despite being promoted as 16 endings it was essentially one with slight variations.
example:
As a long time fan who has read the books and comics as well as played ME1,2, and bought the Collectors edition for the Third. I truly care for this series and it is a damn shame that it is ending on such a sour note with no closure for the majority of the fans bioware.
Hell three of my friends from school all agreed the ending was rubbish and something needed to be done. All i ask is for a something to be done to stop these arguments

Mass Effect 3 was strike 3.
I'm not abandoning Bioware I just won't buy anything on launch. Also I know TOR is an MMO so obviously it will change but for launch it's much worse than say Rift was on launch. Yes I said Rift and not WoW.

Hmmm, I should have checked this thread long ago. I've gotten pretty fed up with all the rage-hate on the endings and the lack of civility in general especially in the spoiler free zone. I chalked it up to just being too old and crotchety about how you youngsters have a me first mentality. You folks have it going on here though, I like how you're going about this.

I don't think anyone here really wants to cause lasting harm to Bioware, the reason we are so passionate about this topic is because of how much we loved the first two games they created as well as most of the third. We just want an ending that in our opinion fits better in the Mass Effect universe.
Thanks for the help holding that line as well.

First off I want to thank you for your (at least for me) very insightful analysis!
I actually have a question for you (or anyone else who knows something about that matter):
While I am not against paying for an alternate Ending DLC pack, knowing that marketing costs can rise to astronomical heights do you think the option to make it Free would be feasible and under consideration at the respective marketing department?
(Weighing the value of the positive Advertisement against the actual Production costs?)
Thinking about all this stuff makes me realise how I do not want to be in the shoes of someone making these decisions

Hey, just throwing this out there. Should we "win" (we won't), and Bioware removes the original endings (they won't), we should totally support that movement, too. Cause otherwise I'd feel bad.
To supplant the original endings would hurt and annoy the people who enjoy them. Mass Effect began with choice and it should end with choice. That's what the series has always been about.
Exactly. Like I've just said in my feedback for the ME3 changes and feedback thread (I'll admit I was longwinded about it though), I do not wish to remove those endings because others in this community do enjoy them and I have no wish to rob them of that joy.
