Has there been any word from BW about it being impossible to get 4000 w/o MP?

It's kind of funny that this thread has never been replied to by any of the mods.
Because they realised its true. Even that sticky that kept saying that you didn't need multiplayer to get the best ending that was in the other parts of the forum was taken down. Its really funny to see that they finally went and tallied the war assets when so many already did it and told them so.

Main thing is it's being looked at, personally I believe it's some kind of input error that occurred during the polishing. Some dev said iirc that he hadn't noticed it when the numbers were tested.
After about 3 weeks of people telling them so and them refusing to listen.
Really the length of time entire thing dragged on, was ridiculous

I was hoping that the upcoming patch might fix this. Couldn't the numbers just be increased?

It's POSSIBLE....if you do certain things throughout the trilogy, a VERY railroaded path at that. (Wrex must die at Virmire, you must accept the deal the Salarian councilor offers etc.)

No its not. Post your screen shot if you're sure. I have the entire list of war assets straight from the coalesced. bin.
Even if you're war readiness is 100% now, its fine and i can deduct your promoted mp characters off as well.

They took down Lee's sticky, so thats something of acknowledgement of this problem.
I hope that means they'll fix it too. Just increasing the numbers of each war asset or some other suggestions were to increase the readiness %, obviously there has to be more to it or they'd just make the quick fix. It is nice though, taking down that thread does in some respect acknowledge the problem.
Edit: missed a word

No matter what path you choose, which alignment you choose, which missions you do—it is not possible.

Yeah and all i can say is this had better be fixed or to my mind Bioware is guilty of out and out fraud because they said the exact oposite of what is in order to boost sales.
Agreed!
It took me 3 weeks to start anew, but I did (I had a save from ME1, right before Virmire --- still couldn't kill my favourite, Wrex...so Ashley had to do it...for me, unauthorized of course :innocent:)
Anyway, I played through the trilogy from there, destroying Maelon's cure an so on.
I did everything I possibly could to get max War Assets/EMS, but in the end (in ME3) it didn't matter....
Why they had to do this to Single Player is beyond me. I will never be a multiplayer-person (I am 46...47 this year) and I'm not intersted in multiplayer, never have been either. Co-op, maybe, maybe, with some friends - in other games (they don't play Mass Effect), but not multiplayer. I don't think I even know what Multiplayer is, exactly, but I do know that it would cost me money over Xbox Live, and that, I will NOT pay for!
Bioware (not that I think you read this, but): I am really disappointed in this discrimination of Single Players, as well as other things....

The fine print they forgot to add says you need to buy all the DLC when it is released.Anuvis13 wrote...
I know there is a sticky in the General Discussion forum saying we can see the extra scene by just playing SP but it has already been confirmed that it is not possible buy players who added up all available War Assets. Has anyone from BW noticed that oversight or commented about it? All they'd have to do is make the default Glactic Readiness 60%.

"Of course you don’t have to play multiplayer, you can choose to play
all the side-quests in single-player and do all that stuff you’ll
still get all the same endings and same information, it’s just a
totally different way of playing"
How do you read that as anything other then you don't need to play MP to get SP content?

They have also removed Jarrett's sticky, so it's encouraging.

I really do not understand why people are so mad about this. Give the MP a try, it's great.
That would be the case if nations like Poland, at least so I'm told, do not have Xbox Live available as a facitlity to play the game. But the point is you can't say you can get it all then not have it physically possible.

It is a lot of fun...for ME. But not everyone enjoys playing MP or have the necessary bandwidth to do so.

People are angry because they have to resort to playing multiplayer to access singleplayer content. And for the Xbox 360, you have to pay to be able to play multiplayer.Dot.Shadow wrote...

What happens when EA drops support for ME3 servers? Then you have no choice but to modify your game saves to access a singleplayer part of the game.

Then why did they make the claim after the game had been released? Why was there a thread stuck at the top of this section spreading the lie after everyone had called them out on it? Also the patch to fix this would only be a few hundred kbs in size so why haven't they just released it and said sorry?
Because when BioWare says "We are listening", they meant "Shut up and keep quiet!"
