I really hate the ending. I really want to return all of my Mass Effect Games.....but something just tells me that I shouldn't.
It's my Inner Gamer. I know the ending sucks, but I can't bring myself to return them, but the offer is really cool.
What would returning them do?
It's not like when you return them, GameStop calls up BioWare and says "This guy traded in your games so we need X amount of money back from you"
The ending isn't that bad that it makes the other games useless. Well nevermind.. ME2 is, but that game was just terrible so that doesn't count. ME1 is still great.

Amazon will probably pass on loses from ME3 to EA.
If they return used games, other people can buy the used games instead of purchasing new games. That hurts EA.

No but they stop ordering the game and hope to make back most of the money they lost selling it used.

I used to give my money to Walmart, Kmart, Gamestop, Best Buy...and then I started doing Amazon's game trade in....now I buy everything from them, 0 problems with them.
Don't forget the 20 dollar off coupons they basically throw at you.
Only I couldn't get ME 3 from them the dc near me was out of stock and I didn't feel like waiting a week a half. Ironically I got the gamer tag glitch, which means the game freezes before I reach the start screen, if I use my gamer tag.

I mean, I still have some hope that this thing might be salvaged because I loved the series so much, but after such a dissatisfying conclusion to my absolute favorite game series, I really feel like my $80 could be better spent.

Amazon is giving me a refund on my opened CE.
Sweet!
Maybe I can find another game that doesn't crush my soul to spend that $80 on.
Thats nice of them, but don't you think you perhaps should wait until the official Bioware response on the matter?. Just saying.
*shrugs*
Amazon gives you thirty days for returns. Seeing how Bioware hasn't said anything yet besides the standard we're listening line, maybe it's not such a bad idea to act now.

Yes; I believe several consumers were quite pleased with the overall entertainment value despite not having the CE perks....

You're a lucky guy, OP. Origin don't give refunds. My 100 USD are gone and there's no solution. Too much money for such a disappointment. I really do hope, there will be an alternative ending dlc, so I can play my expensive DEE again. Otherwise Mass Effect 3 was the greatest mistake in my gamer career.
As much as Origin insists they won't refund a digital download, apparently they will. Just call them up, the jerks will offer the refund herp derp right off the bat. They won't even bother trying to barter or make you happy.

would be intresting to see how many people really got refund from amazon but its something we will never know.
but anyone who thinks the ones who returned are going to do anything in the big picture of sales are in a dream world.

I'm with bioware on this one. Its not disney were every plot is the same: - good guy, gorgeous girl, bad guy and 2 stupid side kicks. Grow up.
So you would be perfectly happy if "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" ended with you talking Bastila down, only to run into a mysterious timetraveler from the distant past, who explains that Sith are eventually going to rise and kill everyone else... and so he gives you access to three completely unexplained and reality-warping options and leaves you to pick one?
You know... despite that it doesn't make any sense within the context of the game and universe as a whole?
EDIT: Control the Sith, destroy all Force users, or disconnect everything from the Force.

The bigger picture of sales went into free fall after day 2.
This is the second time that Amazon has accepted return of a Bioware game on grounds of quality. The first being DA2. This means that its not longer an isolated incident and that will have consequences.
Amazon one click is the bane of my wallet. But they do have excellent after sales rememdy.
