Sure they will, they only gain by doing so. Lets see what Amazon gained here.

Any cost will either be passed up the chain, or the game will be sold as used.
This is because Amazon wants you to come back and recognise that they gain a lot more in the long term. Gamestop refuse to refund , well why shop there Amazon beckons
Going to buy something from my wishlist on Amazon now. Such great CS makes me want to give them money for some strange reason. Has to be something wrong with my brain I guess.
EDIT: I just realized, my signature is quite fitting towards people trying to get over the ME3 endings.
Way ahead of you. Not an EA or Bioware product either. Getting harder these days, since I don't buy Bethseda, Ubisoft or Take2 stuff anymore. Maybe I need a new hobby!

The lack of response IS the response. I've worked in the industry for nearly a decade. Based on what I found out today there is no reason to keep it.
So out of all people you should know how hard they work. Not saying you're not entitled to your money back if you really weren't satisfied, but this is inciting others to do the same to spite Bioware for a small portion of the game..
If people are not satisfied then it has two effects. Most important you get your cash back , avoid that feeling of being ripped off and can get another game to get over the disapointment. As my ex used to say "Easiest way to get over someone is to get under someone".
You also flood the market with used copies and cut the overall sales of new titles. Petty revenge ? Justice ? depends on your point of view. Most important facotor is to look after your own interests the way EA Bioware does.

Aah maybe because it's considered a "Collector's edition". I just find it lame to buy something that has a limited stock, that plenty of others wanted and then returning it a week later.
I sort of get were you are coming from but as a CE this one is not that great. Without the game the digital stuff has no use and a lot of the extras are kind of tacky.
I bought the DX:HR CE (it's still sealed) even if I loathed DX:HR (I don't it's brilliant) I bought the CE for the Jensen figure. I actually bought another DX:HR to play.

Sweet!
Maybe I can find another game that doesn't crush my soul to spend that $80 on.
Thats nice of them, but don't you think you perhaps should wait until the official Bioware response on the matter?. Just saying.
*shrugs*
Why?
how much time do they need?

I agree with Mike Shepard and a few others here. It's nice of them to refund the game, but considering how things are with Product keys, especially for a CE version, that can cause a lot of problems.
Me? I wouldn't return a game just because it had a 'crappy' ending. I don't buy games just to end them. I buy games to actually play them.
Me to. The ending just invalidates my play. It may be the fact that tone of voice doesn't carry well on the internet but I detect a touch of contempt in your post. Tell you what. You play your way. I'll play mine. And If I say that the game is ruined for ME. accept it. Just as I accept that you don't feel the same way.

The best way to Hold the Line as you people put it, is not to take money away from a company that requires money to make the precious ending DLC you guys are begging for.
bull.
If they make money. they don't need to listen. That simple. Money talks. People with their head up their butts only 'hear' PAIN. The paragon option is going to get you politely shuffled into a quiet out of the way waiting room until they think their garbage has been forgotten.

So, you completely beat the game, didn't like the ending and are now getting a refund? Sounds cheap to me.
Glad someone else said it first. You played the game, you got your money's worth, asking for a refund is just...dumb. And its a bad move on Amazon's part.
Because, as someone else said, its like going to a restaurant and ordering a meal. Eating it and then complaining about it and not paying for it.
You opened it, you played it, therefore you got your money's worth. Whether you like it or not, you don't deserve a refund if you finished the game. If you, say, played a few minutes and hated it, yeah maybe. But not if you played the entirety of the game and then decided it. That's cheap.
As I said before this is like finishing the meal and finding a bloody bandage lying on my plate. Call me cheap again. Not that it matters I didn't buy from amazon. And not sure I'd return the game Just yet... that would definitely be a gesture of completely lost hope.

BW will redeem themselves, mostly anyways. If you wait too long to save a kid from drowning, you may still save his life.. but he might have some long-term brain damage...ShinsFortress wrote...

A Collectors Edition is just a product like anything else; if unhappy with it - why should he 'commit' to it?
Aah maybe because it's considered a "Collector's edition". I just find it lame to buy something that has a limited stock, that plenty of others wanted and then returning it a week later.
Then blame Bioware I'm sure if they haden't broken their promises that particular copy wouldn't be returned. Sounds like a bit of sour grapes there btw. Don't worry if you really wanted that bad you know where you can get copies.

Maybe we should just buy ourselves some ink and paper, a 3D software program and some new computer hardware?

There's nothing to stop you from buying a used CE, at a discount. You might also call customer service, say you bought it used, and ask if they can give you new codes. Being an exemplary company with fantastic customer support, EA would certainly honor your request, as you acted in good faith.
If you do the above, you get a limited-edition item, OP gets their money back, a store retains 2 customers (you and OP), and EA continues to uphold their reputation. It's a perfect ending, just like what ME3 had.

The ending was leaked awhile before the release. EVERYONE as in an uproar. You never even had to read the spoilers to understand that the ending would not be satisfying...yet you still wanted the CE at the end of the day...
If I returned everything that I was disappointed in I'd have a lot more money. You're complaining about an ending to an overall very great game. You enjoyed hours of gameplay to return it because of a 5 minute cutscene.
That's like going to a restaurant, eating the almost the entire meal, and then when you're on your last bite, you complain to the waiter that your dessert wasn't well made so you want a refund on your entire meal.

Imagine if you are having sex, everything is great, and than, in the end, her vagina grows teeth and rips your willy off.
Would you have the same opinion than? was it not great before your willy got bitten off? What wil lyour opinion be on the entire intercourse?

A game is not a movie, and requires more investment. <3

Uh, no. A closer analogy would be if you were at a restaurant, eating a great meal, but as you dig in for your last bite, you notice that there's a mouse's head burried under all that food you just ate. In that instance, I'm pretty sure the restaurant would not charge you for the food, even though you ate -- and enjoyed -- 90% of what was on your plate until you came across that grotesque piece of dead rodent.
And to further that, you would have no way of knowing it was there until you were 90% finished since it was burried beneath a bunch of food. Which is the same as ME3. You had to get through the entire game first before you arrived at the terrible ending. So you can't simply say "you enjoyed most of your experience enough to get to that point, so don't ask for a refund".
