Maybe we should just buy ourselves some ink and paper, a 3D software program and some new computer hardware?

And ask for input from this guy:

Imagine if you are having sex, everything is great, and than, in the end, her vagina grows teeth and rips your willy off.

Would you have the same opinion than? was it not great before your willy got bitten off? What wil lyour opinion be on the entire intercourse?

Hilarious. The other analogy I heard was the sex was great but you caught an STD afterwards.

Amazon is nearly perfect. I've never had a miscommunication, lost package, only one fraudulent dealer and it was cleared up in a week, They're really awesome with their customers too. For example I used to buy stuff from Vitamin Shoppe and switched to their Amazon store, got discounts subscription offers and I get gift cards every now and then since I've been there so long.

In other words they know who their customers are and they're willing to do a little bit extra in hopes of keeping them... BW take the hint.

People's comparisons to mice heads and bandages in food is so absolutely over the top and unfounded. However, if you want a food analogy this is it. You began the meal and it was good. Was good all the way through but the last bite was kind of bland. And then you got a little indigestion. And once the indigestion set in you felt like the restaraunt cheated you and you wanted your money back.

It absolutely NOT the same has having your health endangered by contaminants. Come on guys, this is eactly why folks are finding the complaints to reek of entitlement.

Really its like paying for a four course meal ahead of time, with the promise of a fantastic and lush dessert. Then when the dessert comes they drop a stale oreo on you plate and say "tada!". Further, they refuse to acknowledge there is anything wrong with the dessert. What would be wrong with demanding the dessert they promised, and the one you had already payed for?

I'm waiting on returning my game, I also bought from Amazon. Though if this isn't fixed within the next week or so I'll also return it.

I heart Amazon. I buy from them usually at least once a month, and have nothing but good to say about them. Congrats on your cash back.

It's sad if you return a game just because of an ending... It's Mass Effect ffs

I just disagree amigo. They didn't promise you the ending that you wanted. They largely didn't PROMISE us anything. They said that they were producing the final title where decisions of the past would culminate into fruition and they hoped you'd enjoy it. If you didn't enjoy it, that's a bummer, but that's entertainment for you. You don't really deserve your money back because your subjective tastes diverged from their's at the last moment.

I think its great that folks are voicing displeasure as its a part of the feedback loop and I know BioWare will take it into account for the future works. Maybe they'll even try to make ammends on the current title. That's all great. But continue on and on with what "we deserve" or what "we are owed" is an unfortunate misstep for the beginning of the discussion.

Amazon has a great reputation. I make a lot of purchases there. I don't think they were required to take back a used game.

Reputation, a word so alien to Bioware these days...

And yes I buy stuff from Amazon because they don't disappoint. I don't buy stuff from Bioware anymore.

Yeah, the ending and lack of response from BioWare blew an arsed-sized chunk out of their reputation.

I haven't returned my copy, but I guarantee Amazon would do it.

Casey Hudson: "This story arc is coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot more different. At this point we're taking into account so many decisions that you've made as a player and reflecting a lot of that stuff. It's not even in any way like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C."
"It's more like there are some really obvious things that are different and then lots and lots of smaller things, lots of things about who lives and who dies, civilizations that rose and fell, all the way down to individual characters. That becomes the state of where you left your galaxy. The endings have a lot more sophistication and variety in them."

Yup, not promised anything thing that they didn't deliver. *eye roll*

replace A B and C with Red Green and Blue and you got at least a laughter out of that comment from Hudson!

If they return their copys to EA/Bioware this even might have an impact. Ill asked a press guy ( friend of mine ) around here ( Germany ) to get an interview with Amazon, so he can talk to them about the whole ME3 thing. Dunno if he gets something out of it, means i cant promise anything but lets hope this gets some media attention at least.

I'm sticking to my copy. To me, it turned into a symbol of my naiveness and crushed hopes, a symbol of a beautiful thing ruined by last seconds of it. No more hope, no dreams, no pleasure. Only pain is left.

Bioware is apart of EA, and they have adopted EA's view on customers that we only exist to be monotonized. They only listen when their bottom line is hurt. Bioware used to care, now they do as EA asks, and that usually means bastardizing their franchises to get more sales, and cut more content to sell later as DLC no matter the blow back that is caused because of it.

Bioware had to know of EA's reputation before selling out to them, it is pretty obvious they didn't care with all those dollar signs floating in front of their face.

Honestly, I wish I had bought the game from Amazon. A full refund sounds tempting right now.

This sets a pretty troublesome precedent for Amazon...

Any game I buy from them I can beat fully and redeem all the codes... and then complain to them that it didn't satisfy me for a full refund?

Hey congrats on your refund OP.

I've been buying/selling on Amazon for years and I've found that they'll go out of their way to please their customers. That's why I feel so loyal to them and always purchase from them when I can. :)

They will also give refunds on Ebooks. So you can read a book and if you decide you don't like it you can get a refund. Now, I don't think this is very smart of them financially, but I think Amazon believes if customers feel safe doing business with them, they will return to do business again. And they're right!

Why would you want to keep that kind of a symbol?

I mean I definitely appreciate it, I order stuff from amazon at least once a week... but I have little faith in people (especially people that play videogames) so I worry this will be abused :?

Amazon is giving me a refund on my opened CE.

Sweet!

Maybe I can find another game that doesn't crush my soul to spend that $80 on.

lol so either you made a dumb move when the DLC ending comes.. or you made a dumb move staying here because you no longer are a Mass Effect fan.. either way your decisions don't matter! you're still dumb.

Lycius will have more money. He got a full refund. If a fix DLC comes out, he can repurchase the game at a discount. Not dumb.
