I don't need any money i've  spent on steam refunded.

and I wasn't saying Amazon is bad, I was just saying I always buy from them

Ok, wasn't sure what "inb4 I go buy junk from Amazon and play steam games." actually meant.

Lycius - Good on you.
To everyone who thinks that it's not okay to return a product that you aren't happy with, imagine that you ordered a sportscar that is the follow up to a really awesome, highly praised couple of cars - from a manufacturer that has built great cars consistently. It finally arrives, you take it for it's maiden voyage only to find out that it leaks oil, has a crappy old 1950's engine in it, and isn't at all like the cars they previously made, and is NOTHING like the car they promised.
Would you return it?

Don't think that's a fair comparison? What if you earned millions each year - the amount you'd spend on the car would be to your income, what the cost of a collectors edition of ME3 is to mine as a student.
Would you still return the car if you were that rich?

How long did it take Bethesda to release Broken Steel after the original Fallout 3 release?

-Dunno. Dont care? Because that ending even its original fashion, made sense (unless you metagamed or by chance had a certain mutant with you).

Speaking of Bethesda, they take their share of criticism, but the fact they actually listened to fans and released Broken Steel after such outrage over the original FO3 ending, speaks volumes about their post-release commitment, IMO.

I agree, albeit if Im not sure for the same reasonsl. They realased a "post mortem" Dlc that catered to some fans. Grand. But won me over... what REALLY made me think Bethesda has one hell of alot more potential than Bioware was "The Pitt".

I havent played a CRPG that faced me with logical, moral, ingame and setting true, abivalent feelings about a DLC ever. Hell most games dont even compare. In retrospect I would have bought FO3 just to be able to play "the Pitt".

Amazon is giving me a refund on my opened CE.

Sweet!

Maybe I can find another game that doesn't crush my soul to spend that $80 on.

Thats nice of them, but don't you think you perhaps should wait until the official Bioware response on the matter?.  Just saying.

*shrugs*

When do you expect that to be. I'm guessing a another month or 3 if ever.
Basically I expect Bioware plans to listen us to death while going about business as normal. Hope I'm wrong though.

A respectable company would not offer a refund on a completely used product, end of story. It's like trying to return a pair of jeans you wore, washed, and shrunk, because they didn't fit anymore. Just doesn't happen.

So Amazon isn't a respectable company because they offer refunds to keep customers happy?  Who knew good customer service was a bad thing?

I'm waiting on returning my game, I also bought from Amazon. Though if this isn't fixed within the next week or so I'll also return it.

Aint no way there fixing it in one weeks time, hell they've said the ending is what they wanted for "lots of player speculation"

I've paid the same amount of money for far less quality games. This whole Bioware bashing is getting old. Amazon is stupid to give refunds so easily. And the fact that the US have a 30 day refund period for something like video games just explains why they are in a economic crysis.

Don't get me wrong, great for customers looking to exploit the system, bad for business'.

I wish I could return my copy, but the store I bought it off only gives 7 day refunds and I'm about 3 days past it, so thats $100+ gone on a collectors edition game I don't think I'll ever even install let alone play.

Why would I waste hours of my life on a game only to be able to achieve 1 of 3 endings, none of which I find even satisfying let alone likeable and none of which really end the series.

Might as well see if I can convince then to give a refund, failing that I'm going to write Bioware about obtaining one. I was promised a game that would end the Mass Effect trilogy and I didn't get what I paid for.

This is quite interesting. You've practically played the game for free.

It's not that unsual. A derivitave of Gamestop in Australia, EB Games, has a 7 day money back guarantee if you don't like the game.

The best way to Hold the Line as you people put it, is not to take money away from a company that requires money to make the precious ending DLC you guys are begging for.

This is assuming it'd be free anyway.

Lol whatever. Not saying you and your buddies are wrong, OP, but you got to stop hitting on people who disagree with you. Cause no, your logic isn't universal and is quite subjective really.

If I'd buy a game then I want to be enterained, so if the "ending" or any other part distracts from it why not being able to return. If it has a serious bug in it everyone would say ... no problem. However if that "bug" ... umm .. feature is "story related" (e.g.  ending) all of a sudden it becomes and invalid reason for returning it?

And yet you haven't redeemed your version of ME3 on the site and thusly can't post anywhere but here.  Why?  Just smells extremely fishy to me.  Just for reference the Devs here can check your account and see what you have.  If one comes in here and busts you out all I'm going to do is laugh.

What has "registering a game on teh Bioware Social forums" to do with "owning the game". So anything someones says who hasn't "registered" the game has nothing worthwhile to say?

Personallu I stoped registering games since ME2, while ME2 in the end was enjoyable (I re-played oit often enough, there were too many things in the run-up and re-lease that bothered me too much to "show my support" in more ways then "buying" the game.

They did something similar for DA2. It's nice of them to do that. Most companies won't let you return games.

In most country broken games have to be taken back by law.

Edit: And yes Amazon customer service is amazing, they totally invalidate those who says that buying on internet is cheaper, but riskier, they always says:"Yes!"
Even better: when you have a problem, you don't have to call them, they call you instead.

Trolling implies that I am making statements without reason. Also why am I dumb when I comment on the topic of the thread? The subtext of this thread is obviously about the supposed bad qaulity of the game, I disagree. I also disagree with some consumer laws in the US, this is connected to the subject of this thread.

So either respond with a counter argument or take some time to think of one.

Calling me dumb makes you the troll. Image IPB
