No, if he was stereotyped he be carrying a KFC bucket that shoots watermellons while blinding husks with his grill.
Oh boy.

Was he really unpopular? I usually befriended him in most playthroughs, but I must admit I didn't use him in my squad that often because his weapon and power set up. If he had a rifle instead of a shotgun then I might have used him more.
Yeah, he was probably the least popular character in 2. Sucks. But no one was really interested in the normal person in a game full of larger than life badasses.
But then again, none of the Mass Effect 2 romances (not counting Garrus and Tali) got satisfying conclusions either. Thane and Jacob just got the worst of it.

So your telling me if femshep romanced Jacob in ME2 the mentioning of getting the scientist pregnant still happens in ME3? Wow really.

I think the worse implication is that it is only because of his race people think he's been stereotyped.

The best part is it felt like the writer's were insulting me. Jacob acts like a smug **** (and doesn't really act like Jacob did in Mass Effect 2) and Brynn brags about stealing him away.
Never before have I needed a renegade interrupt. I can barely even tell Jacob off, and Shepard just compliments Brynn.
Seconded. Immediately I thoughtSparatus wrote...

Never really cared much about Jacob, Kasumi (waste of my money), or Jack. Zaeed was my favorite and I was disappointed you barely see him in ME3.

I guess Jacob has changed from being the normal guy in the crew into the guy who cheats on you and gets a girl pregnant in six months of knowing her. I mean wow, just wow...oh yeah SPACE MAGIC:wizard:.

Cheating on your girlfriend and getting another girl pregnant is a black stereotype? I'm seriously confused.
It's not about the stereotype I guess, but more about Jacob disregarding you when you meet him.TobiTobsen wrote...

So if Jacob was white it'd be all good right?

Actually, he'd known her for a year.

FELLOW ZAEED LOVER? Please give me some hi-fivage.
I thought getting to talk to him on the little video thing was pretty cool at the end. I could totally see my femShep giving him some video dappage. "Kick some arse, Shepard." "Don't I always, Big Z?" But yeah, not enough of Big Z for my liking, even if the first time I did meet him I thought he was the ultimate stereotypical Australian sniper douchebag.
****, I liked him so much, I would have preferred him as a romanceable character to Jacob.
