i am actully randomly interested on what the game is like with garrus as LI

This thread is full of stereotypes. Not all black men are like this. hell I could say some other races are stereotyped in this game as well, so it's pointless to discuss just him. All the father situations have there truths in society.

Umm, that's kinda the point of stereotypes, they show situations based on common misconception that the media has presented.

Uh, he also turned against his former employer and helped organize and protect a group of scientist which end up aiding the Alliance against the Reapers.  After being a fair weather type that would never commit to any cause - The Alliance, Corsairs, and Cerebus.  I think he grew up a lot and developed into an interesting character.

Garrus as LI is unbelievably corny, it's lovable.
I dare you to break up with him in ME3, it's heart wrenching.

(I thought Garrus' romance was the sweetest in 3. But I have no drive to play a game with a romanced Garrus because of the endings)

Yeah, I had 3 LI runs planned (Liara, Garrus, Kaidan).

I don't think so. Six months is long time to wait for someone. He fell in love with someone else and is happy. You guys should be happy for him.

Nah, I don't think he was "stereotyped." Jacob suffered from "nice guys finish last" syndrome in ME 2, so nobody dated him in comparison to badasses like Garrus and Thane. I think Bioware figured he might as well find some closure with another women since essentially nobody romanced him. I mean, for those who did, that sucks, but let's face it: only 0.01% of you did with your favorite Shepard.

All the LIs "wait" one way or another, except Jacob.
It's conspicuous so you can't blame people for being mad.

He's black. They even got a black guy to voice him.

He's not stereotyped, just marginalized. Not because he's black, but because Bioware was too lazy to develop any black character other than Anderson.(who is the most awesome person aside from shepard. In the whole trilogy.... who's human of course. Garrus is Turian.)

Having Garrus as a LI is rough. Femshep walks all sorely in the last battle. I wonder why. >_>

And no, Jacob was not. He was however a complete stain on that mission. Tried so hard to be bromance dude. But Garrus is the bromance dude. Cannot be out-bromanced.

They could have at leas added a few lines wheere Jacob breaks up with Shepard, it wouldn't have been much effort to have at least an email from Jacob saying that.

I mean I know Jacobmancers are the minority here but I still don't think it's fair to just say to those fans that they don't care about them. A fan shouldn't just be treated like that.

Thane apparently hardly gets any romance dialog either. And after his death Shepard hardly seem to care about him anymore.

Also, you don't get the paramour achievement from him.

So what, the only male romance option for femshep is Garrus then?  I mean Garrus is cool, but that seems hardly fair considering how many options there are for man shep.
