I was going to keep him as my romance for ME3, but I ended up dropping him for Garrus (always felt bad about it too).

This was one of the reasons why I liked Kaidan, and stuck with him.  Despite his issues in ME1, he was still ballsy enough to go after Shepard.  1) She's his commanding officer.  2) She's freaking Commander Shepard and tough as nails.

Seems Jacob couldn't handle strong women.

When I saw he was with someone I was happy/proud for him at fisrt because I liked him in ME2. Then I saw that he did the exact same thing to all the femSheps who romanced him.

I mean come on. Black guys already get a poor rep as bad fathers/ husbands. For once couldnt the black guy be the faithful one? Every single LI stays true to their Shepard except for the ONE black guy.

Man after watching that video I feel bad for jacob romancers. I mean liara can wait so can garrus, tali, thane, Miranda, heck even jack can wait but jacob he can't wait at all. I am black as well and this whole thing with jacob hurts our rep.

I thought that too when I heard he cheats on you and gets someone else pregnant. And here I thought he was already a bit of a stereotype in ME 2. I don't think it was intentional, but yeah it's still pretty funny. I don't think he has too many fans anyway so they probably figured it wasn't worth putting in the extra effort with him.

I never romanced Jacob but I looked up the Jacob romance on YouTube out of curiosity after doing the mission and I was astounded.

They could have gotten away with it if he'd basically gotten down on his hands and knees and begged forgiveness, or at least apologized with proper contrition but he and Bryn are just so... smug? uncaring? apathetic?

Particularly considering they're talking to a higly trained soldier carrying an assortment of high powered weaponry, heavy armour and a freekin' omniblade. Heck, I wanted to stab him in Huerta for the mere suggestion that Shep couldn't settle down with Liara.

Since I was in friend mode with him, I didn't have an issue. It was fine. In fact, I don't think it's out of line that he fell in love with someone else so quickly. Sometimes these things happen. It didn't seem like it was a matter of stereotyping, but after watching the video of a femShep who romanced him, I can see why they're not thrilled with how it was handled if he was your LI.
