Combine 4 with 6 and I'd say it would be perfect. Rather just give 6 the care and detail 4 had.

6 has my vote, its the canon pic.

@naltair: I don't know, it's hard for me to believe that a professional company would have done such a terrible reveal. Something that was so important to so many fans and all they give us is a 2 second peak at a half assed PS job. Seems more likely to me that they were just testing the waters. I could be wrong but that's how I feel about it.

The problem is that it isn't universally terrible, the real issue is that someone found it was  stock photo before that it was fine.

After that people start throwing around lazy... and terrible, but really it looks fine, gets the point across and she looks exotic and attractive.  I am not sure what else you want?  It was a contentious point because they had kept it a mystery for so long.

They knew, correctly, it would not please everyone.

To put it another way, I find the other choices to be lacking and like the photo as is.  I am sure I am not the only one.

Astheticly it's not that bad but the hand is. I do quite a bit of work with image editing software and there are no ifs, ands, or buts about it, it was a rushed hackjob. Tali's reveal was something very important to a lot of fans and they put next to no effort into it which is why I feel the way I do. I simply don't think they would do that on purpose. To me it's like a slap in the face. 

As for your last point 17 people (including you) voted for it and many of them voted for others over it. This is compared to 49 for the most poular choice.

I always liked 1 and 4. I 'd make 1 my top pick though. And the stock image doens't look too bad once the fingers are fixed. I still think it's too much hair though.

This is probably going to sound really weird but I would want one without hair.

Again, I know that sounds really weird but, unless if I'm mistaken, humans are the only species with hair. As such, it feels like a unique part only to them. Though I'll probably be corrected since I've been multiple times already today.
