You have to be renegade I know.
I saved him, you get an option to renegade-speech him to your side. Sadly, I don't know specifics on how sorry.
Think you do have to kill Wrex.
Also, obviously, can't warn Eve & him about the trap.
May have to have destroyed Maelon's data...

there is a way to save mordin actually you have to kill wrex in ME1 and let Bakara die I think

I'm actually glad all of these characters died off. At least they didn't have to suffer through the ending.

The only way to do it without having problems down the line is,
Be renegade.
Kill Wrex in ME 1 ( this is so the dumb wreave is in charge)
Destroy the data. ( this ends up killing eve)
With the combined above you can show mordin that Wreave can't be trusted and without eve the krogans have no true leader and will rebel later down the line.
You can do it with wrex alive, but he learns what you do later and confronts you and it isn't pretty.
Be renegade.

You can save Mordin if you kill Wrex and destroy the data.
You can save Thane if you don't talk to him before Ceberus attacks and if Kirrahe is still alive.

I played Paragon.
However, also killed Wrex in ME1 and Maelons data in ME2.
These were my few renegade choices.
In ME3 you are told you can sabotage the genophage cure, and keep it a secret from Mordin.
You'll have a few opportunities to tell them about the sabotage, just keep quiet.
When Mordin tries to go fix the problem, tell him not to.
He'll realise what's going on.. and I'll leave the rest to you.

Confirmed on my end.

- Maelon's data has to have been destroyed from ME2, as it causes Eve to die.
- You also can't reveal the plan to Eve in the tank rides over.
With those three criteria satisfied, you can use charm/intimidate (I assume with enough points) to convince Mordin that Wreave himself isn't going to to be a great leader, and he'll go along with the Salarian plan to fake a cure ... and live.
