Not much I could do really, aside from exercise alot more caution when contemplating a BioWare game purchase.

"I used to love this franchise, it was called Mass Effect. It was amazing, a science-fiction, space opera RPG where you made choices and stuff. Played it back on that old thing we called a PC. Shame they never made a third installment though."

This is pretty much how Mass Effect will be remembered.

The modern day Star Wars that just didn't quite make it.

I will accept the fact that they're not changing it, and buy DA3 as soon as it comes out.

Never buy another game, DLC, or anything from Bioware.

Hell, I might even open a TOR account just to cancel it.

One of the problems I have with the ending and Mass Effect 3 in general is what they chose to reveal and what they chose not to reveal. When the head writer says something to the effect that the ending not revealing the fate of the galaxy is good, but then goes on to write DLC that destroys most of the mystery over the Protheans, and has the "unfathomable" Reapers revealed to be killing everyone in order to save them from being killed, it's hard to take future works from them seriously.

And it feels weird to be that way, because the game works as an ending so well before then. It's not perfect, but I don't think I could agree with someone who hated the entire game. The ending spoils your efforts, but I only care because getting there was so enjoyable.

So I dunno. I think they're moving into another place. After the success of DA:O, they moved to make DA:2. And despite the fan backlash, and the huge drop off in sales in shifting development towards a different audience, they still said, "we can never go back to how DA:O was." They're adamant about certain things. I don't need their games to be fixed in stone, never changing. But I think it'd be hard to argue that their priorities are shifting, and it's really hard to see what they did with the ending as being anything but sloppy and probably rushed writing. Defending it to even the degree they have seems to really be out of touch with what the whole series is about, and frankly I'm a bit amazed it could even come to that.

Probably this, but only for a lot longer, and extend my bitterness to Bioware in general.

" I was an innocent kid once, used to believe Bioware was the best thing ever for RPGs. How foolish I was, how foolish of me to get emotionally invested in their games only for that love to be crushed...Bioware doesn't exist anymore, and that series I told you about? Never happened. "

I'm surprised how many of you are even contemplating another BioWare game after this. At all.

If you're gonna protest or boycott something, you don't do it by offering the same company more money down the road.

Refuse to buy another Bioware game. Between DA2 and their "response" towards this backlash I'm beginning to think Bioware is slowly dying.

If no new endings are added, i'll just uninstall ME3 and Origin. I'll play through ME1 into 2, get to Arrival and just leave it at that. More likely, i'll keep ME3 and just delete the last cutscenes of the game after Anderson dies. Live in denial the rest of my life.

Besides, Diablo 3 comes out soon. Can't be sad forever.

I'll probably be done with BioWare, and to an extend EA. Now's their chance to gain back some sort of decency and trust with the fans, if they don't deliver its all down hill for them.

Bye to BioWare..

Mass Effect is the only BioWare series I've played.. and loved.. and they ****ed it up so unless it gets fixed I have no interest in trying or getting in to anyone series by BioWare.

Say farewell to a universe I thought I loved with great disappointment. And be extremly wary of any EA or Bioware game in the future.

I'm a bitter hatefilled misanthrope, so i'll be discouraging people from buying Bioware games or products ever again. Everywhere I can. Who cares if I get flamed for it, I don't want attention and I don't want internet fame.

I just want someone to pay.

Probably not buy another bioware game. They will have lost my trust if they do not fix the ending.
