Won't buy any ME3 DLC and will not purchase DA3, but that is just due to how bad DA2 was. I already cancelled my Star Wars account, so I guess that will pretty much be it with Bioware.

Then get off the forums and leave, obviously you have made up your mind. Is there really any point in you announcing this?

So now we condemn anything and everything that has to do with bioware?

I'd play future BioWare games, but not until they've been out for a while & I have thumbs-up/thumbs-down feedback from people whose opinions I trust. Before the ME3 ending, I would pre-order a BioWare game without even knowing what it was about. I've been a diehard fan of the company since Baldur's Gate.

I would never touch another Mass Effect IP again, nor play the ones I already own.

Don't think I'd pre-order anything from bioware again. Wait till it's on sale or something. I certainly won't be purchasing any collector's/digital deluxe editions either. (unless, again, they were dirt cheap. Like, steam sale 90% off dirt cheap)

I will only buy Bioware games after borrowing/renting them.
Will even wait for the Game of the Year Addition just to get everything for cheap. Going to take any announcement for DLC with a grain of salt. Will not buy DLC until I get honest feedback from the fans about it.

Will still lurk here and add my input into games. Will hope that Bioware goes back to it's roots and starts making games that are classified as Superior RPGs.

I will not buy any Bioware game ever again, nor have anything to do with the Mass Effect franchise (movie, anime, etc). I have enough other games and hobbies to keep myself occupied.

If it had the Bioware logo, it was a buy. Didn't need reviews, opinions, anything - it says Bioware on there, so it's good. Has been the case for me forever, up to and including DA2 (yes, i liked that).

Then came SWTOR.

And then came ME3 - looked redeeming at first, but the ending really spoilt the whole thing.

I was hoping for a Mass Effect Anthology one day, with ME1 and 2 games being updated to ME3 standards - the whole saga in one piece - but what for? The end of ME3 makes it all meaningless.

I think I wil start reading reviews on Bioware games now.

Hmm well I would definitely not purchase any DLC or anything else really associated with Mass Effect. Like other posters I cannot really condemn the previous games, but the ending has destroyed any and all ability for me to enjoy the franchise any longer. ToR has been a disappoinment so far but I have stayed in it because its bioware, they cant mess this up right? Guess they can. So might drop from that. Anyway I would not boycott bioware completely but I would also not buy all of their games just because they say bioware.

As an aspiring writer, I went ahead and wrote a short story featuring a better ending. If a better option is never presented, then I will happily pretend that my short manuscript is what really happened. Kinda odd perhaps, but I refuse to accept the presented endings as cannon. Admiral Shepard deserves better. ;)

Kick my feet up, lean back, and relax, reflecting that some great team of artists, somewhere, did not give into the mob.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. :)

This, though it reflects on EA as a whole, not just Bioware.

Then enjoy ME3 as the last enjoyable game they are probably going to produce.

Whether you consider it smug or not, I consider it realistic and a far more healthy approach.

Never buy another Bioware game again, unless it were Jade Empire 2.

And they'd probably screw that up.

Stop buying BW games sight unseen. Burnt with DA2, being burned with ME3 now, learned my lesson.

At any rate, there are other RPG devs that lately seem to be getting "it" more than Bioware does, so I don't think I'll suffer from a shortage of quality gaming.

Well most of us agree that the Ending to Mass Effect 3 is one of the worst video game endings ever.

Then most of you who agree are poor gamers with very little experience. There is some awful endings to video games especially in the NIntendo era. seeing how you said 'ever' makes a statement beyond your capacity lol

I would regard the Mass Effect series as a flawed masterpiece. I wouldn't spit on the other 2 games or the first 95% of ME3, but the last 5% of the game almost kills any replay value for it.
.

how can you say its flawed and also say your not spitting on the other 2 titles?

the other 2 games are part of the series you cant just say one is so bad without demonizing the others

I say flawed masterpiece because I'm judging the ME series as a whole with the current ending.

And the other two titles have their flaws too. ME1's atrocious inventory system and general clunkiness nearly killed the game for me in the when I first started the Mass effect series, and ME2, while removing said clunkiness, took out the "RPG" in their game (I'm a hard person to please, I guess), so yeah, I consider those games as flawed, but great enough to overcome said weakness, because at least you can replay them. I just consider ME3 to be the worst considering the ending. If not for that ending, I would probably hail it as the second coming of God, or something similar. Thats how big of an impact the ending it has on ME fans.

Pretty much this. For more tangible reactions, I won't buy any DLC. Why would I want more ME3 content if the galaxy goes to hell anyway in the end?

The Mass Effect trilogy was one of my last hopes in gaming.  It's rare to find a diamond in the rough in the gaming world anymore.   Bioware made it easy to find though.  I've actually said, "If Bioware releases it, it'll be coated in gold and will be able to cure cancer."  I believed that Bioware could do absolutely no wrong....

Now I find that you believe that too... The charm of a Bioware game is the crazy amount of effort put into every tiny bit of the game in every aspect.  From music to writing to graphics and gameplay and RP elements... You were showing other game companies how it's done.

I won't discuss DA2... but in ME3 I found that instead of going the extra mile in several places, you just threw anything in, because you could "do no wrong."  Quest log... Tali's reveal... or rather... first Quarian reveal... Dialogue choices and the Ending are a few eye openers.  Where the old Bioware would have gone the extra mile and made these things seemless and wonderful... I don't know what happened.

A lot of the game shines of old Bioware... but the lazy aspects are hard not to notice.   I know I might be nitpicking....  As the Star Wars Prequels led me to a distrust of all movies.  I can't watch any movie without putting up a guard while keeping in my mind that it most likely will suck.  The ending of this game has jaded me to games... If the entire game was terrible... then the ending was terrible... I wouldn't mind so much...  But I can't bring myself to play your wonderful game for fear that I'll reach the ending again.

Don't fix the ending with DLC... Fix it with a patch.  Patch all you can to throw some of that old Bioware finish on this almost masterpiece.  I feel so strongly on this that I will not give Bioware another penny until they re-evaluate what Bioware quality is.  I canceled my swtor account... Not another penny Bioware...    I'll save my money for games created with the quality and care of your origional Mass Effect.

Wish the best for you Bioware.
