Is it true that an original script was leaked?
If you love the characters you created, then what the hell happened to Tali?.
Grade F----- Photoshop work. We didn't even get to see her face...

I have always loved everything Bioware has done, I have spent hundreds of dollars on Bioware Products and really enjoyed your story telling. I only recently ended up getting onto BSN actively and only after getting completely upset by the ending of Mass Effect 3, I was hoping to recover or salvage some hope.
I'm really saddened and almost outraged to see the doublespeak that's being used. I understand the need to be very careful when dealing with customers but in this case it seems a bit ridiculous. We aren't stupid, I think the fans of Bioware are pretty loyal and good people, and as loyal customers I think we deserve a straight up ending.
If you want to keep your endings, then please... please please please give a straight forward answer. I want to know why and what made you end your series the way you did, not to ridicule but to understand, maybe if you fully explained it, we could find some peace and even appreciate it on the same level you wanted us to.
However if you are planning some sort of dlc how can you go on witnessing the fan-based reviews of your game and dozens of people saying they are done being Bioware fans and just ignore it? You could at least same something like 'We'll we are planning ahead, have faith' or something, just throw us a bone.
It was said in the letter 'This is not the last you’ll hear of Commander Shepard' but honestly, and I say this reluctantly, if this is just going to be pre-ending material (like adding more missions to get more war assets) or adding more weapons and skins to multi-player then I'm not sure I'll remain a loyal customer of Bioware's products, especially after the doublespeak responses and blatant negligence of your fanbase.
Now you probably won't end up even seeing this, considering that so many people post at once, and I understand that you've released things saying 'we are listening' but if you do see it I hope you take it into consideration.
Edit: let me go further and say that I do have high hopes that something will be resolved, I'm a huge fan of the various theories about the ending going around, and as stated I think Bioware is a great company

It is, however, very transparent that it IS a PR statement. Until and unless accompanied by *action* that addresses fan grievances with the endings, it is a meaningless puff piece.

So What really happened with the ending of ME3? Did Bioware run out of money? Or worse, inspiration? I seem to recall a similar lacklustre ending in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The "Choose your meaningless cut scene" format didn't do that game any favours and it is definately not fit for the ME series. Oh come on.![]()
Those endings were better than ME3's in that they were all actually functionally different from each other. Sure, if you thought about what the AI said each ending entailed, they didn't really make sense, but they were distinct and you actually survived 3 out of 4 of them...and there WAS the extra ending (that 4th one: Adam Jenson: "You call that a solution!" very much like the ONE ending offered up in ME3. Suicide).
I would agree that the ending of Deus Ex HR worked better in the context of that game. For all intents and purposes, Deus Ex HR could be considered a standalone game since its predecessors had been released so many years ago.
The ME series is a little different because the three instalments are relatively back to back and so intertwined. The RPG element was what made the ME series great. More than anything, I think its the lack of closure that irks so many players who consider the ME series much more than a forgettable FPS.
Bioware did a good job of building an engaging story and cultivating characters that people cared about. Maybe beyond even their own expectations. Look at Crysis 2. The second hand market is littered with them. Crysis 2 looked and played great but the lack of gripping storyline and memorable characters meant that not many people remembered what it was all about or cared about its ending.

If anything, whether or not you like the response Casey gave, or any of the other reps gave it doesn't behoove anyone to say some of the stuff I'm seeing. Just straight up personal insults.
Plus, we have to realize what we're asking for. It's not a tiny thing. On one level we're asking what's typically immutable (storytelling) to be mutable due to advances in the medium and technology. It's also a huge philosophical request. Finally, it's a fairly large personal one. It's also a massive technical undertaking.
I'm surprised we got a response so quickly. You may not have liked the wording, but the game has been out for 11 days in the US. Feelings are strong, mine certainly are. But, they're strong both ways. The Mass Effect series is the best game series I've played. I'm doing my level headed best across multiple threads to provide constructive feedback, how I feel, what my frustrations are and what I would like to see next. It's visceral of course.
So as one fan to another instead of pure rage, try at least constructive rage, or even better contrasted feedback. Attack ideas, philosophical standing or plot lines not employees. Try some wit instead of vulgarity. If you're walking away, or staying say why. There a slew of threads for that.
The one thing I do know, these guys aren't sitting at the office going "OK, so how do we screw these guys." Those accusations are just wrong and specious. You don't spend years putting tons of time into a project and think that way and have a result come out like Mass Effect. They're sitting at the office going "How do we make this better? What's the course of action? Where were we right, and where were we wrong?"
Hey I want things changed. But, I'm not going to stoop to a level where I make specious personal attacks to communicate that. Come on you all let's raise the bar up a few notches.
Also, please don't wake me with pitchforks and torches

I seriously hope whatever producer or executive was responsible for cutting off the ending of the game... at least gets a slightly smaller end of year bonus.

1. He never said anything about the story continuing, he just said there would be more Commander Shepard. Which means missions that take place before the ending probably.
2. Casey LIES. And not like using deceptive wording, he just outright lies to shut people up.

At least the multiplayer is fun - even though the unlock system completely sucks and it is incredibly boring until you unlock alien characters and half-decent weapons.

Which content would that be percisly since it wasn't mentioned. . It just says "...your feedback will help determine what that content should be....". He didn't say where our feedback was going to it could be just going to Pre-final battle
