Indoctrination theory officially debunked. Image IPB

And for those who felt the ending was coherent... was not paying any sort of attention. No one, anywhere, has been able to explain the ending's "coherency."

ME3's ending was filled with plot holes and inconsistencies... polar opposites of "coherent."

But it's been a great ride up to that point, and I am now done with Mass Effect (in regards to future games) and future Bioware titles in general (at retail price)... but will continue to push for a real coherent ending until they officially say "no" to the idea.

I challenge any member of Bioware staff (and their supporters) to defend that ending with regards to the its coherency.

That was an amazingly large amount of words that deflected the issue entirely and touched on basically nothing.

He could have simply said "We're listening" and be done with it.

People have already said that.  Maybe you're not listening?

And what else was in there that we didn't already know?

That DLCs were coming? They advertised that to us after the credits.

That they've been working really hard on the game for a really long time? Well duh.

That some review sites liked the endings and a lot of fans dont? OK, but thats been obvious since last week.

What of any of that was actually meaningful?

**** you.

That isn't a comment. thats nothing. He shows that not only does he not understand our concerns but that he and the whole team have no interest in trying to. I'm not just disappointed. I'm offended. You and your company are a disgrace to gaming. How dare you imply that we are anything less than the majority. We demand closure. Give us the ending we deserve! The ending the mass effect universes deserves!

Well, I'm still not 100% sure what happened at the end, but I appreciate the sentiment, and I'm cautiously looking forward to the new content BioWare releases.

Thanks for the update!

The face import issue aside, the statement about this not being the last we hear of Cmdr. Shepard could be interpreted in a number of ways, none of them being concrete. This carefully constructed statement has given us absolutely nothing to look forward to other than more hair-tearing moments of frustration regarding whether the ending was THE ENDING or whether there's more to the story than meets the eye.
Because let's face it, without a modified ending to the game, any DLC in the middle of ME 3 will be insignificant if the ultimate ending is still the same crappy 3 choice option we've been given. My stance is simple. If the ending indeed represents the final moments of Cmdr. Shepard's life and NOT indoctrination, then I'm done with Bioware and its games. But considering the amount of work and thought the writers have put into the story (which is greatly appreciated), I'm hopeful that they have an ace up their sleeve and the epic conclusion we are craving for is still yet to come.

Basically, it seems like he's fine with crapping all over the franchise in the last ten minutes of ME3. I guess they really are committing corporate suicide.

Basically CH said how much BW listened to the fans to make changes so ME3 would be a great game and how they all worked hard on a labor of love, but nothing to do with the endings really. K, then.

At the end of a day they are a company. Same thing happened when they released DA2 and it was awful. People complained but they really do not care. They get the money, they want to keep people happy just so they don't put others off of buying it. But they don't care long term whether you enjoy it or not.

Casey has his millions, he doesn't care less about you.

That was a given, hell it was stated in the game after the credits.

He didn't say anything about adding ENDING DLC or fixing them.

Yes, the Critics are right that the game was amazing but not the ending sense it was so incoherent and not conclusive. There was no discussion on the ending. It does not answer any of the questions that many of the fans have on what it actually is supposed to mean and whether we are stuck with what we get with out some official announcement from BioWare telling us what it means or are we actually going to get some DLC that fixes the issues the fans have. If you guys are listening will you answer the fans directly or just keep beating around the bush?

That was really, really bad.

You just told us a bunch of stuff we already knew. We know you're working on "DLC" as vague as that is.

We know you've worked hard on this series for ages.

We know that Gaming Publications really enjoyed your game. (Wonder why..)

You still haven't answered to us, your fans, on what you're going to do with this series we've invested emotion, money and time into for five years. Honestly, please just say what you're going to do and be done with this, so I can get off this train-wreck. Keeping us clinging on and not saying anything in all of your "Press releases" is really beginning to get old.

Honestly, if there's no ending DLC planned, I won't buy any DLC. There's no point. None at all. You guys want me to invest more time into a Shepard I no-longer care about because the ending ruins everything this series has been built on? You want me to pay for this? No, sir, I shall not.

We deserve a good ending, your FANS. We've stuck with you through thick and thin, (Dragonage 2) now please, please...give us the damn ending we deserve.

Of course we know it would be bittersweet. We knew that the death toll and destruction would be astronomical if we somehow managed to get the reapers of our back. But guess many of us expected that it would be possible to survive and start rebuilding together with what was left standing of your friends and allies (old and new) as well as your LI. We also expected to be able to get more questions answered and that our choices and achievements would matter much more for the outcome.

Exactly. Bioware has turned into a fraudalent gaming business people. Don't even bother buying DLC or Dragon age 3 at this point.

Come ON for friggs sake Bioware.

You cant honestly think this crap was going to placate us now? Not after this? Its basically the same Chris said yesterday?

Who the hell told you that its a great Idea to conduct your PR this way? Youre not making things better. Youre making them worse!
