Guys, this response is the best he can give without spoiling it for the people who haven't played it yet. If you wanted it to be specifically addressed to each and every individual complaint wait for DLC. This response is perfectly fine, and he's not deflecting anything. THE VERY FACT that they are taking time to respond to you is applauded in my opinion.

While they didn't go into specifics, it seems to me that the ending we got WAS in fact the ending they had wanted to tell. It was what they had intended, nothing more, nothing less. So where do we go from here? We have a truly terrible ending, but it came from the creators who had good intentions and who meant well by it.
I just find it absolutely baffling how consistent their writing was throughout all three games, and even the final game up to the last 15 min - and then the ending just felt so out of left field. It didn't match or feel like it even came from the same writers. The only thing I can say is, they got caught up too much on the ending, and tried too hard to make the ending something that it wasn't. And we all suffered as a result of it.
It's also a shame that they are focusing on Industry journalism to validate their decision, instead of listening to their core fan base that has been with them from the beginning. Yes, BSN is not every single fan. It's not everyone. But it's their main hub for their supporters. And when the majority here feel devastated and angry about this ending, that should mean more to them than what a magazine or site says (that ironically, are paid by them through advertisement).
I really cant' say much more. For me, it was never about the ending being subjectively bad. I get it, almost all endings are going to be liked by some, disliked by others. You can't please everyone. But I just feel there is so much wrong with this ending (in regards to Plot Holes, Lore Errors, being incoherent, abrupt). I have a hard time reading what BioWare has to say on this: and believe they actually thought an ending where chopped up footage that has no context or explanation how it happened was appropriate for a 100+ hour trilogy.
And if it is, maybe BioWare is at a place right now, that is just so far removed from where we are at. Maybe it's time to move on from this company.

"We have worked hard on the games since their inception, some people liked them, some didnt. keep sending feedback because we listen to it all, and stay tuned for more DLC."
So, while the post has a lot of words, it doesnt actually say anything new, the way its written is completely open ended, and considering that the only comment about the actual ending reads "We always intended that the scale of the conflict and the underlying theme of sacrifice would lead to a bittersweet ending" which implies that the problem people had with the ending was the fact that it wasnt the happy ending, leads me to believe that this whole we listen thing is just something that is repeatedly posted. Considering most of the articles online about the ending, and many of the threads on here about what was wrong with the ending specifically mention the problem not being the lack of a happy ending, but the way the ending unfolds, leads me to one of two conclusions. Either they dont actually read, they just reply with generic answers. Or quite simply they dont care, and are just planning to ride the wave until people get tired of posting on the forums, and simply stop talking about it.

Exactly. He even stated in the second sentence that he's staying away from discussing spoilers for now.

That was an amazingly large amount of words that deflected the issue entirely and touched on basically nothing.
He could have simply said "We're listening" and be done with it.
My thoughts exactly.

IT was just PR blabla that ME3 was a sucess and that they dont care about the "small" amount of passionate fans as long they have the NEw York times and co on their side. Which they mostlikely have paid in the first place.

But we also recognize that some of our most passionate fans needed
more closure, more answers, and more time to say goodbye to their
stories—and these comments are equally valid. Player feedback such as
this has always been an essential ingredient in the development of the
series.
How can this be anything more than a blatant lie if you don't do anything to fix the terrible ending . The game was so good up until the last 5 minutes, if anything you made an amazing accomplishment with destroying an entire series for most people with those 5 minutes. For that I say bravo. Obviously you've shown its much easier to plug your ears to every critical comment, god..I can't imagine what your twitter must look like right now. Also don't forget that people have raised 50k just because they hate the ending so much.
You did a great, awesome job with Mass Effect 1, 2 and 98% of 3, I really respected your work until that last 5 minutes. You need to realize you've made a mistake, it wouldn't be the first time a writer/artist or developer has done so. Also , somehow, you think people are upset because of Shepard's final fate or the lack of a happy fuzzy ending. No, what your fans want is a real ending, one where choice matters beyond three colors, one where there is real closure and the hero acts in a way that is consistent with how he or she has acted in the previous games.

And it reflects nothing of the sacrifices, hard choices and fighting one did to reach it.
I dont care if Shep dies, but you killed him horribly. You killed the ME saga horribly too. The end offers nothing more than space magic, plotholes and three colors to choose from.
As for the "some passionate fans", this is the majority of customers (and potential customers as my self) who tell your endings suck big time. If you dont understand this by now, i doubt if you ll ever.
So, tell me when you ll have the proper endings finished, to go and buy ME3.

Based on the past couple of years i'm glad Bioware is even paying attention to what the fans think
