And before anybody bothers to call me a ****, I did not like the ending either. I thought that it was rushed and all your decisions led to were different colors. But do not complain when somebody who does not owe you an answer at all tries to quell your fears.

I do thank Casey for responding, though. He didn't have to. I stand by my earlier comment, but I do appreciate the communication.
Oh yeah, definitely true. Thanks for saying something, Mr. Hudson.

No he said over the next year.SilentWolfie wrote...
He wrote "the next year", does that mean that we have to wait 1 whole year before having something conclusive as to whether there will be a new ending (which there might not even be one)? Boycotting new bioware products till then.
Which means you get more and more DLC over the next 12 months you can buy to make you feel good and them richer.

Guys, this response is the best he can give without spoiling it for the people who haven't played it yet. If you wanted it to be specifically addressed to each and every individual complaint wait for DLC. This response is perfectly fine, and he's not deflecting anything. THE VERY FACT that they are taking time to respond to you is applauded in my opinion.
He didnt actually address anything, he just made a general mention of things. We already knew they were going to release DLC, the game tells you at the end they plan on releasing DLC. At this point, the whole spoilers thing is being used as an excuse to not really say anything. If they were really that concerned, they would release an official statement actually addressing the concerns about the ending, and post it on either of the spoiler sub-forums. I can understand the spoilers being an issue if released on a magazine or a twitter thread, everyone can read them, but the excuse falls apart when they dont release a statement on their spoiler forums.

I really appreciate Casey Hudson for posting this at all. Most of you sit on here and complain and when Bioware finally acknowledges the fans complaints he is attacked with statements like "this is a non-answer". No, it absolutely is an answer if you even bothered to read all of the article. You can take the statement about continuing Shepard's story in two ways: A) they may release DLC to fix the ending orit'll be in game content. I'd personally like to remain hopeful.
And before anybody bothers to call me a ****, I did not like the ending either. I thought that it was rushed and all your decisions led to were different colors. But do not complain when somebody who does not owe you an answer at all tries to quell your fears.
Yeah...
Even though what he said was a lot of nothing.

The ending was horribly implemented. It'd be fine even if they created a horrible depressing requiem for a dream style ending, as long as it was well implemented and lived up to the standard set by the series. Instead, we got a rushed and canned nonsensical conclusion.

I was ok with an ending. I never expected kittens and puppies at the end of these series. Sacrifices had to be made.
YOu have no idea what you're talking about. Kindly go educate yourself.
We don't want a happy ending. We want an ending that makes sense and gives us closure.
This, a thousand times. Thanks Casey for responding, regardless of how helpful his statement is, and thanks to the team for almost making three amazing games. However, there has still been nothing of substance put out by BioWare or EA. Until that time, I will reserve judgment.

As a player of ToR, BioWare has CONSISTENTLY responded to player feedback and implemented it. BioWare and Blizzard seem to be the only two game companies that truly respect their players.

Will there be a DLC/expansion pack that is going to address the inconclusive ending we got?
Just circle YES or NO
That is all we want to know. It's that simple.

Anyways back to playing some other game. At this point replay or even bothering with Multiplayer seems rather a moot point at this point. Would I of liked a happy ending that zips 10 years later or 30 years to old man / old woman with kids kinda sheppard and theri LI would of been cool. I would even settle for a final death no hidden scences nothing and maybe its the LI telling the story to their kid or to the ones that survived remembering what happened years later. But atleast it would be closer and a final page to the book so to speak.

The problem is that you didn't. Not only does your comment manage to note the existence of fan discontent and then proceed to do nothing but blow your own trumpet instead of actually addressing the issue, but you seem to have a complete disconnect as to what the issue actually is. You spent years promising that the ending would be a result of our choices, but it simply is not. Most of the possible outcomes are simply identical. You even ignored the player's choice of Human Ambassador in order to shoe-horn in your coup story-line!
All but straight up confessing that the opinions of the reviewers (which EA likely paid for/gave free goods to) are more important than the opinions of the fans has also left you with a fantastically large bullet-shaped hole in your foot.

But I definitely got the impression that he believes the criticism of the ending is only coming from "some of our most passionate fans..." which seems to be code for "the lunatic fringe."
I played through the series since day one... I held onto my saves. I pre-ordered ME2 and ME3. I believed in BioWare. I trusted them with a $200 investment. Then, in the last hour - they made a fool out of me. That's not an experience I'm going to rush to repeat.

EVeryone does this for a MMO and expecially Biooware does this because SWotor players are getting less and lesser. They needed to react or it will be done and f2P in less that 12 months.ctconnors wrote...
I reiterate my previous post. ME2 wasn't done in my mind until they announced "The Arrival" to be the last DLC. The same goes for ME3. I want a better ending, but I expected many DLCs to add to ME3's story.
As a player of ToR, BioWare has CONSISTENTLY responded to player feedback and implemented it. BioWare and Blizzard seem to be the only two game companies that truly respect their players.
And no Bioware is listening to no one. It was the same with DA2 they did not listen one bit. Not after the first infos, not after the demo, not even after the game was released. And it is the same with ME3. They cut a character from a short selction of partymembers in the first place, they used stockphotos for one of ME's "hottest" mystery and secret.
And now they milk you with more and more DLC. And you people will happily buy it anyway.
If you want developer that actually listen to their fans. Got to CDRED. They listen to their fans and feedback, they give you DLC for FREE. They dont bind you on something like Origin. And they actually have the guts to answer honestly when they did something fans really did not like.
Damn I am sooo glad that Bioware does not have the Baldurs Gate license. SO atleast we can have hope for the new version.
