I didnt just spend 5 years loving these games and waiting and getting hyped up for the endings.
Only to be let down, by having been lied to for the last 5 years by being told actions and decisions matter. You got me to feel for the characters and then you crap on it all.
And I wont let bioware do it again. No more trust.

They can release ALL the DLC they like, if that ending sticks, I for one will NOT buy any of it.
If that ending sticks, i'll just add BW to my Blacklist.

or
We don't agree, we will do nothing about the ending.

This is the best we're going to get for now. It's a reassertion of their commitment to their fans, and really we can't ask for anything more at the moment. Hold the line, keep pushing for new endings, but let's treat them more like a friend with a bad addiction rather than a hated enemy.
He's vague because he HAS to be vague. They don't want to say anything that could even be remotely interpreted as a promise, because they want to make sure they can and they want to before committing.
Stay patient, stay civil, stay generous (donate!), and hold the line.
Im sorry, but by now, we all know how good their promises are, so promising something now and not owning up to it later wouldnt be anything new really.
At least it would quell some of the rage XD
And then itd be back...

this...is it?? wonder if this statement makes things worse
It does. It insinuates that the ending we got is at the very least for a certain group. I'm not sure what is more annoying, that people find the philiosephy behind this deep or that the writers thought so. I was actually behind the idea that what we saw isnt what we think we saw, but the more I read responses from the developers the more they are convincing me they think they are creating an artful and deap meaning to the ending.
They think they are writing on Robert Heinlein's level, seriously, I think they really do think liek that.

I just want to highlight a few things he says not like anybody will read my post but here goes anyway
He says he considers the game a collaboration between US and THEM. meaning our opinions are valid. He even goes as far as to say "your opinions are valid" Do you know what this means? This means that while he may not agree with our opinion, and i am SURE he doesn't, he recognizes it has solid reasoning behind it.
ALL OF YOU should be willing to do the same for him. At least if you actually want to be constructive and hopeful instead of bitter and mad.
He also says content is coming, THIS YEAR, and that they will be listening to fans in order to determine what to develop. which means that if the ending issue really is as big a deal as it was in the case of Fallout 3, there very well could be alternate ending DLC coming.
No he didn't promise anything, but it's still REALLY EARLY. Guys the fact that he responded at all when the game is still in the early stages of being sold is proof they take this seriously. Stop the hating! The hating is getting ridiculous. It really is.
This. The way he worded it implies to me that he's willing to take fan input into consideration when making decisions about what content to offer in some upcoming DLC. That's postive news!

This, as much as people want to bash the guy, at least he said something and not some forum moderator or something (no offense to the forum moderators.)
In consideration I have faith mainly due to the fact that I played a game Star Wars Galaxies back in the day. Do you know what happened when people out cried on how awful that was? They dismissed everything, banned people from posting anything negative, shut down forums, and never even aknowledged the player base all but once saying "everything is alright" after losing 2 million players in a matter of two weeks.
They are not telling you to go fly a kite, like we've been seeing from other gaming websites. You have Casey Hudson coming out and saying something to the player base, and that rarely happens when you have someone so high up do that.

This is insulting. But we also recognize that some of our most passionate fans needed more closure, more answers, and more time to say goodbye to their stories—and these comments are equally valid. Player feedback such as this has always been an essential ingredient in the development of the series.
Just cut all the bull**** and tell as straight what are you gonna do with this mess!
His statement makes me feel like I'm being an irrational ass, when I really don't think I am.
I have praised the high points of the game and me being dissatisfied with the ending has nothing to do with me needing more time to say goodbye.

"we always intended that the scale of the conflict and the underlying theme of
sacrifice would lead to a bittersweet ending—to do otherwise would
betray the agonizing decisions Shepard had to make along the way.
Still, we wanted to give players the chance to experience an inspiring
and uplifting ending; in a story where you face a hopeless struggle for
basic survival, we see the final moments and imagery as offering victory
and hope in the context of sacrifice and reflection."
Made me vomit.

As do I.
A curt "Thank you for listening. No we will not purchase any DLC until we have confirmation of more endings." is sufficient.
it is to the point, it does not back us off one scrap of ground. They will not beat us by having us give in to our own hostility.

"This is not the last you’ll hear of Commander Shepard." I hope that means we will play DLC that takes place after the "victory" against the Reapers, and not stuff that happens before or during ME3 as some kind filler. We need closure so that we can move on!
