You realize making an Omega DLC could be "more of Shepard"?

This in no way says they're going to fix the endings or even make a post-ending DLC.

No he downright says that the ending we got is not the actuall ending. It is a holder ending for the simple fact of content still to be developed and released later on. The story aint done yet! (Stargazer does say "Alright, one more story! )

Also I found this to be a very honest answer from Bioware. This is why people that understood the endings said it wasnt a bad ending, myself included.

Could you point that out where in the release, or anywhere else, for that matter, that Casey said specifically there was ending DLC coming?

Seriously, get the ending bull**** out of your heads. Its getting eritating.  He downright says they are still going to support ME3 with extra content. Its right there in the text. Effing read it.

Uh, no. He's talking about the dumb DLC they already have on the pipeline. They'll be hocking that crap when the dust from the ending rage settles.

And sadly, people will still buy it. After all the lies and bullsh*t, people will still buy it.

EA has won. Bioware has won. We are defeated. The Line is broken.

The line is only broken if people actually buy this crap. As long as we stand strong to our principles and simply not buy any DLC until the problem with the ending is fixed, we're still holding the line.

So stop whining like a quarian with a bellyache and get back in there soldier! HOLD THE LINE!

I like how he points out how the game is lauded by "respectable news sources, and then goes on to mention that some of their most passionate fans need more.

Is it just me or does that not sound like "These guys are whining when it was really a good game. See, "respectable" news sources say so!".

I desperately WANT to believe & trust this man, that's the problem. But this travesty of an ending has seriously rattled any trust I had in the man or the studio and thus I don't know whether this is all just a bunch of chain-yanking aimed at PR because they realized the end wasn't popular or a serious (early) address of the community's reaction.

To any BioWare employees/interns reading: We know it's early, we know you don't want to impact sales somehow by acknowledging a problem but such silence & question-dodging will get many of us aggravated to the point of giving up on the franchise and/or further angry actions designed to inflict as much damage as we can (FTC complaints, bad reviews, etc.) This isn't a threat, but many people on here are not impressed by how this whole situation happened and has been handled and aren't exactly receptive to "wait and see." as an answer.

If they already have some DLC not related to ending in the pipeline all they need to do is officialy announce that "ending" DLC will be made. Perhaps not now but sometime later during the year. After reading this I would gladly buy any DLC that would come before that. Becouse apart from this abomination ending I still love Mass Effect. Still... principle is a principle. Not a single penny spent on ME unless Bioware commits to fixing this ending. Hold the line!

"Still, we wanted to give players the chance to experience an inspiring and uplifting ending; in a story where you face a hopeless struggle for basic survival, we see the final moments and imagery as offering victory and hope in the context of sacrifice and reflection."

What victory? I felt the best choice was to do none of the options and actually try to kill the reapers off one-by-one even though it would be a suicide mission. That is what Shepard would have done. Even if he lost this way, life would have been better off with the chance to kill off the reapers in the next cycle if they find Liara's stories of Shepard.

Why is it so damn hard for these people to just come out and say something definitive?

Either
1: The ending is the way we wanted it, sorry you didn't like it, we aren't changing it.
or
2: We are making dlc to extend/change/fix/add more variety to/whatever the ending.

Why the cryptic crap? Why the PR doubletalk? Why the need to tell us how great other people thought the ending was?

Come on, this is just insulting

Becaus ehe works for both investors and EA and they are both breathing down his neck telling him to fix this but he doesn't want to cave so he is trying to get us to start buying thing again and play TOR and ME3MP so that he can tell those people there isn't a real problem and they don't need to change anything. He is waiting for us to give up and become a joke, don't let that happen.

Hold the line as long as it takes people.

My only hopeful thought left is that they intended for us to help write the ending to mass effect and are taking all of our ideas as a collaboration to create a ending we won't forget.

Only problem is ...they don't talk about anything with us really.

The pop-up thingy at the end prompting us to buy DLC...

Exactly what I wanted to comment.  'The adventures of Commander Shepard will continue through downloadable content.'  Almost word for word.

'You'll get your answers, but they will cost...'

Don't get too worked up guys. If you want to press the issue tweet something at Casey Hudson like "Mr Hudson I saw your response and thank you for it. I must ask if there will be DLC that expands on or modifies the endings."

It's funny that apparently we all needed more time to say goodbye to these characters, when most of us would've been happy for the game to have ended before the space elevator of inevitable doom.

It's a non-answer. Don't get disheartened folks. Carry on as you were and we'll see just how committed they are to us fans.

I am happy that he at least didnt just go with a "shut up and deal with it" route, that is something even if he didnt actually offer a solution.

I think this basically blows the whole Indoctrination theory to death. It is clear from the statement that the ending we received was the real ending and not some trick.

All hope is lost, I am going to go cry now.

A big old post saying little more than "We understand your concerns." and "Shepard's adventures aren't over yet." Doesn't really confirm much of anything. If you want change, continue to voice your problems with the ending in a CIVIL MANNER and don't let up until we either get the ending we want or we all move on. Move on from Bioware, preferably.

I really think Mr. Hudson needs to have a talk to Mr. Brad Wardell on how to honestly reach out and communicate with your customers and fan base when things go to hell in a hand-basket.

Seriously.

I just want to highlight a few things he says not like anybody will read my post but here goes anyway

He says he considers the game a collaboration between US and THEM. meaning our opinions are valid. He even goes as far as to say "your opinions are valid" Do you know what this means? This means that while he may not agree with our opinion, and i am SURE he doesn't, he recognizes it has solid reasoning behind it.

ALL OF YOU should be willing to do the same for him. At least if you actually want to be constructive and hopeful instead of bitter and mad.

He also says content is coming, THIS YEAR, and that they will be listening to fans in order to determine what to develop. which means that if the ending issue really is as big a deal as it was in the case of Fallout 3, there very well could be alternate ending DLC coming.

No he didn't promise anything, but it's still REALLY EARLY. Guys the fact that he responded at all when the game is still in the early stages of being sold is proof they take this seriously. Stop the hating! The hating is getting ridiculous. It really is.

This, as much as people want to bash the guy, at least he said something and not some forum moderator or something (no offense to the forum moderators.)

In consideration I have faith mainly due to the fact that I played a game Star Wars Galaxies back in the day. Do you know what happened when people out cried on how awful that was? They dismissed everything, banned people from posting anything negative, shut down forums, and never even aknowledged the player base all but once saying "everything is alright" after losing 2 million players in a matter of two weeks.

They are not telling you to go fly a kite, like we've been seeing from other gaming websites. You have Casey Hudson coming out and saying something to the player base, and that rarely happens when you have someone so high up do that.

Right. Also, he's not giving a definite answer because he doesn't have one.

How are you supposed to give an answer you don't have? If you REALLY want this fixed ending, then you have to play ball for now.
