Although i am pleased the devs are breaking the silence it still remains to be seen if our wishes are met and we get an acceptable ending.
I'm trying to remain as positive as possible, and will await impatiently =)

It's not easy to have perspective on such a big project a week or two after it's been released.
Maybe in year he'll be brave enough to admit that the ending is crap.

I do agree they went wayyyy past the line with bittersweet. Right over into depressing.

bittersweet would have been to lose a few more crew members along the way and then have Shepard go out fighting, but the galaxy remains intact and the people you died to save have some kind of a future that makes sense to them.

trading Shepard's life for a victory is a bittersweet victory. trading the entire galaxy so a few survivors can scrape out the rest of their days is a defeat.

How can someone type so much but say absolutely nothing? Astounding.

Hudson didn't even write it. It was written by the lawyers, he signed it then had some low-level admin post it for him.

You realize making an Omega DLC could be "more of Shepard"?

This in no way says they're going to fix the endings or even make a post-ending DLC.

No he downright says that the ending we got is not the actuall ending. It is a holder ending for the simple fact of content still to be developed and released later on. The story aint done yet! (Stargazer does say "Alright, one more story! )

Also I found this to be a very honest answer from Bioware. This is why people that understood the endings said it wasnt a bad ending, myself included.

Could you point that out where in the release, or anywhere else, for that matter, that Casey said specifically there was ending DLC coming?

Seriously, get the ending bull**** out of your heads. Its getting eritating.  He downright says they are still going to support ME3 with extra content. Its right there in the text. Effing read it.

Efing read post you answering, *ENDING DLC*.

Inspiring and uplifting ending? Casey hudson the only thing mass effect inspired was for me to lose all respect for bioware.

Can someone repost this? I don't see the part where he addresses the gaping plot holes.

Casey, do yourself a favor and quit the game development business. Become a lawyer instead. Because you are the biggest bullsh*t artist on the block right now.

I just want to highlight a few things he says not like anybody will read my post but here goes anyway

He says he considers the game a collaboration between US and THEM. meaning our opinions are valid. He even goes as far as to say "your opinions are valid" Do you know what this means? This means that while he may not agree with our opinion, and i am SURE he doesn't, he recognizes it has solid reasoning behind it.

ALL OF YOU should be willing to do the same for him. At least if you actually want to be constructive and hopeful instead of bitter and mad.

He also says content is coming, THIS YEAR, and that they will be listening to fans in order to determine what to develop. which means that if the ending issue really is as big a deal as it was in the case of Fallout 3, there very well could be alternate ending DLC coming.

No he didn't promise anything, but it's still REALLY EARLY. Guys the fact that he responded at all when the game is still in the early stages of being sold is proof they take this seriously. Stop the hating! The hating is getting ridiculous. It really is.

this +1

This makes sense but come on THIS YEAR? We have already waited two years for the conclusion of Shepards journey...now we have to wait even longer. That's....not nice. I think the wounds have just been reopened by this statement release to be honest.

Then ending doesn't make any sense and because of that it leaves room alot of room for post-DLC. I just find it overall distasteful that they actually planned for this. Its not going to be long before we start paying for 60-70 dollars for games that aren't really complete.

I agree with this.

As do I.

A curt "Thank you for listening.  No we will not purchase any DLC until we have confirmation of more endings." is sufficient.

it is to the point, it does not back us off one scrap of ground.  They will not beat us by having us give in to our own hostility.

Conclusion : Hold the Line!!

BTW who cares what the NYT says. They probably don't even play the entire game.

+100

They know NOTHING about the game.

We do.

We've spent hundreds of hours.

We know more about one character than they'll ever get to know about the entire plot.

I feel offended that they even dare to judge us.

He meant that Shepard's ability to have Tali or Garrus as a LI was introduced in ME2...and it was.

When I think Penny Arcade I think of Gabe and Tycho not Ben Kuchera.
The fact that Ben Kuchera, a game critic, likes the end, makes him identical to every other game critic who either liked, or didn't care about the end.
