I just want to highlight a few things he says not like anybody will read my post but here goes anyway

He says he considers the game a collaboration between US and THEM. meaning our opinions are valid. He even goes as far as to say "your opinions are valid" Do you know what this means? This means that while he may not agree with our opinion, and i am SURE he doesn't, he recognizes it has solid reasoning behind it.

ALL OF YOU should be willing to do the same for him. At least if you actually want to be constructive and hopeful instead of bitter and mad.

He also says content is coming, THIS YEAR, and that they will be listening to fans in order to determine what to develop. which means that if the ending issue really is as big a deal as it was in the case of Fallout 3, there very well could be alternate ending DLC coming.

No he didn't promise anything, but it's still REALLY EARLY. Guys the fact that he responded at all when the game is still in the early stages of being sold is proof they take this seriously. Stop the hating! The hating is getting ridiculous. It really is.

I agree with this.

As do I.

A curt "Thank you for listening.  No we will not purchase any DLC until we have confirmation of more endings." is sufficient.

it is to the point, it does not back us off one scrap of ground.  They will not beat us by having us give in to our own hostility.

Conclusion : Hold the Line!!

I'm in.

I feel like I want to cry.

Somehow I was holding out against hope that maybe it was just all a misunderstanding, or that there was some miscommunication,
but... ah well.

Steam still downloading Dragon Age: Origin again. Once that's installed, I'll play it over the next week to get this bad taste out of my mouth, and then I'm just going to be done. I have absolutely zero interest in DLC multiplayer content or Aria or whatevertheheck else but a better conclusion to Shep's story.

If in six months' time I'll find it was miraculously fixed, yeah... I might get it, but this whole thing is just getting me down.

Don't do that!  Corporations during controversial periods with customers, absolutely count on shaking off resistance through time and non-commital statements that could mean anything or nothing.

If anything, it is predictable that he said little more than "he's proud of the team."  He's buying time for the storm to settle as it inevitably will if you're so easy to shake off.  Oh, and he most likely didn't even write it, the PR eggheads did, or at least cleared it for release.  They are trying to wear you down as we speak.  Resist indoctrination.

Get up and dust yourself off, and move out soldier...of course that'd take a real badass! Image IPB

Retaking Omega incidentally is in no way confirmed or even hinted at by Bioware.

It is simply an example used by people to refer to DLC that occurs chronologically at some point before you attack the Illusive Man's base, and has no real impact on the ending beyond the possible inclusion of some war assets. I believe it was used as an example because at one point when talking to Aria in Purgatory she mentions Cerberus took over Omega and she intended to take it back at some point.

It would actually make very little sense as a DLC because Aria commited the mercs that comprise her military strength to you in order to defeat the Reapers. Plus fighting Cerberus in a such a manner would be doubly pointless - all questions about them were answered already.

"Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate."

Looks like Casey has absolutely nothing to say to us, beside good old fashioned PR.

Deflated. I had convinced myself there was something coming imminently but I didn't take that from Caseys replay. Leaving aside indoctrination, I thought the endings left things in an interesting situation but it wasn't really bittersweet, it was just flat.

I'm glad to finally hear some kind of response...

But I definitely got the impression that he believes the criticism of the ending is only coming from "some of our most passionate fans..." which seems to be code for "the lunatic fringe."

I played through the series since day one... I held onto my saves. I pre-ordered ME2 and ME3. I believed in BioWare. I trusted them with a $200 investment. Then, in the last hour - they made a fool out of me. That's not an experience I'm going to rush to repeat.

-Signed Joe, "a member of the lunatic fringe."

I feel like their still missing the key issue of diversity in our endings

or maybe the bitter block of wood in front of everyones head regarding the ending, to the point they cant even see. The only thing you read here as responses have to do with the ending. Ignoring the fact that he down right said they are not done yet. They are support ME3 with extra content and that they planned the bittersweet ending.

it left open areas for DLC for later on. hell even the cinematic says the story aint done yet. Why dispute this and keep rambling on about the endings. We get it already to be honest. But day in day out the same nonsense is getting eritating.

I appreciate the fact that he at least posted something, however I'm quite fluent in talking without saying anything and that is basically what it amounted to. Sure he acknowledged there was a group of people angry at the ending, but at this point acknowledging us is like acknowledging you are wet when you are outside, naked, in a huge rain storm. I know of only one way to speak to a business and that is through my wallet(for some reason they don't listen to anything else). Why would I buy any DLC from Bioware when the level of story telling I can expect amounts to sudden and inexplicable shifts that never get explained.

Serious.. Casey.. Own up and fix the problem ... this is not bloody rocket science...  There is absolutely nothing uplifting about those endings. Hell Ole Yeller was  a more uplifting  ending... yes the move were boy shoots his own dog because it has rabies... that very same movie.

So what If Penny Arcade and the Ny Times say that its a triumph you have Forbes telling is you that you have pissed off consumer base is getting more pissed by the day and that you Brand Loyalty is at risk if not lost among a lot people. Think about like this... for all the us here that are voicing their complaints... think about the once that took the game back to Gamestop and simply moved one... not saying a word. ... yeah...them

I'm trying to be polite but seriously wake up, get it in gear and do something to fix this or the only person that is going hear that horn you tooting... is you.

because the fans/consumers are going to be gone.

Uh, lol what?  I quite clearly recall Garrus in my Shepard's bed in ME2.

Sorry, your argument holds no water, unecessary cursing aside.

You realize making an Omega DLC could be "more of Shepard"?

This in no way says they're going to fix the endings or even make a post-ending DLC.

No he downright says that the ending we got is not the actuall ending. It is a holder ending for the simple fact of content still to be developed and released later on. The story aint done yet! (Stargazer does say "Alright, one more story! )

Also I found this to be a very honest answer from Bioware. This is why people that understood the endings said it wasnt a bad ending, myself included.

Could you point that out where in the release, or anywhere else, for that matter, that Casey said specifically there was ending DLC coming?

Seriously, get the ending bull**** out of your heads. Its getting eritating.  He downright says they are still going to support ME3 with extra content. Its right there in the text. Effing read it.

But that doesn't mean there will be ending DLC. And for the 50,000th time understanding the endings isn't the issue here.

Give this man a high five.

Seriously Hudson, know and love your creation or don't bother.

Wait, so who were those characters I romanced in most of my ME2 games?

Spae Magic... it was harbinger all along.

er...if you didn't romance either one of them in ME2, how the HELL are you able to romance them in ME3? sounds like you don't even know what you played. Try again.

Also lol... "some of our most passionate fans" No Casey, most of the people who played the game. So out of touch. What a shame.

A standard marketing non-answer. Still, much more than most companies would bother to give, considering Chris Priestly already gave a response just one day ago. I think BioWare got the message about the ending.

He basically said nothing. Of course we'll see more Commander Shepard, there was going to be DLC anyway. Face it, they think that the ending is awesome and he knows better than everyone else.

I don't want to sound like an ****, but he seems to use a lot of words without saying much at all. I am none the wiser after I read that than I was before. He basicly says they'll make some sort of DLC in 2012. Oh really? What a surprise.

That was vague to the point of being completely useless. It almost seems like he wrote the Star Kid monologue at the end.

Also "hearing of Shepard" isn't the same as "hearing FROM Shepard".

Jesus, cut the PR double talk and just tell us what you mean. If there isn't any post game DLC that wraps up the series, this series is effectively dead in the water for most of your fan base. Unless you think Penny Arcade and whoever else you quoted can keep you in business.

See? That's to the point.
