Also, how is the ending "inspiring and uplifting"? It depressed the hell out of me.

Summary of the OP: Fawning to paid magazine reviewers and pre-ending DLC confirmations. Says nothing about post-ending state of the game.

Wait a minute...
So, the ending is the one we got...But at the same time it isn't?
Oh god, the confusion.

Doesnt say a damn thing about the ending. All it says is that they will be making DLC. you already told me that at the end of the game. HOLD THE LINE, this aint good enough.

This doesn't really confirm or deny anything however. Casey claims players want closure, but what kind? Closure for Aria by retaking Omega? Closure for the Asari by rescuing Thessia?
I appreciate that Casey has finally responded, but he merely hints that DLC is on the way - the question is what kind the team has in mind.

There was obviously always going to be DLC - the game itself tells you as much.
Whether the DLC will be missions like Overlord that take place during the game or if Bioware will attempt to placate the fans with a new series of endings remains to be seen.
While its good of Mr Hudson to start commenting on the endings when the game isn't even out everywhere yet, he didn't actually say anything new.

I see a lot of talking, but nobody's talking about fixing the endings. Standard PR stuff. Until he SPECIFICALLY talks about the ending, I'm going to keep pushing. Hold the line!

The correct response (if properly sourced) is.
We are pleased to hear you are considering this.
We do regret that without a concrete promise specifically of DLC for the ending we can't bring ourselves to purchase any of the other DLC that you will be releasing until then. I'm sure you can understand why we are a bit wary of over interpretting what you've said to us.
It's not that we're demanding ending DLC, but we really can't invest any more in the game unless we know it is definatively coming.

That is definitely official.
Definitely....
I mean, no link or anything, but yeah.... and Hudson as always been honest with us anyway right, so, yes, official happy news.
Look in the news and anouncements section of the forum.

The ending is narrativly flawed and doesn't work in this game, in an RPG and definatly not in a business that wants repeat customers. This isn't us wanting closure, this is us wanting a finished product and not an angsty teenagers first novella draft from a coffeshop laptop.

It's legit.
Wait, BioWare, if you want to appease us (which I'm assuming this statement was meant to do), why can't you just say "We'll have DLC to provide more closure/work with the ending?"
Please, I'm so confused.

Either fix the endings or don't bother making any new games or DLC not pertaining to the ending.
