Any DLC where Shepard is playable is "more Sheprad". In fact if you read the statement carefully he made it very clear the ending is what they wanted it to be.

Agreed.  But I'll bet they want cash even more!

If we want something other than non-commital PR damage control statements about how proud they are of themselves, hold the line on any pre-game DLC.

At least it's good to get direct confirmation that they are still listening.

I hope people can remain calm and solve this through polite discussions.

Though if they would have the guts to release a DLC not attending to the ending i fear this whole forum will explode in a ****storm of flaming rage.

Just... Hold the line people.

I just want to highlight a few things he says not like anybody will read my post but here goes anyway

He says he considers the game a collaboration between US and THEM. meaning our opinions are valid. He even goes as far as to say "your opinions are valid" Do you know what this means? This means that while he may not agree with our opinion, and i am SURE he doesn't, he recognizes it has solid reasoning behind it.

ALL OF YOU should be willing to do the same for him. At least if you actually want to be constructive and hopeful instead of bitter and mad.

He also says content is coming, THIS YEAR, and that they will be listening to fans in order to determine what to develop. which means that if the ending issue really is as big a deal as it was in the case of Fallout 3, there very well could be alternate ending DLC coming.

No he didn't promise anything, but it's still REALLY EARLY. Guys the fact that he responded at all when the game is still in the early stages of being sold is proof they take this seriously. Stop the hating! The hating is getting ridiculous. It really is.

I agree with this.

As do I.

A curt "Thank you for listening.  No we will not purchase any DLC until we have confirmation of more endings." is sufficient.

it is to the point, it does not back us off one scrap of ground.  They will not beat us by having us give in to our own hostility.

Conclusion : Hold the Line!!

Agreed.  Hostility will get us nowhere.

Says nothing really, but good try and just for that I'm ready to give them some trust. Unless I misunderstood it he defended fans asking for changes that they have right to ask. Not that it means they will promise to do so, but I see it as a good start.

Typical valueless PR jargon that does absolutely nothing whatsoever to address anything even remotely resembling any concerns his paying customers have.

@Jump919 that's likely something that wouldn't be addressed in a blog post. We're listening to your feedback for content- you deserve it :)

Holy s***....... its really happening

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

ME4: Vakarian saves Shepard's backside, reunites the team?

Who knows what it is.  That post right there is pretty much a confimatiion that we will be seeing post-ending stuff though isnt it?

Inspiring and uplifting ending? Casey hudson the only thing mass effect inspired was for me to lose all respect for bioware.

And the only thing it uplifted was the contents of my stomach.

Wow I had no idea people could say so much while saying so little. I suppose nothing's changed though, since I won't buy a single DLC or indeed any Bioware product until this is fixed.

This kind of useless PR crap is probably the nail in the coffin for this game. Ironically enough, it's a nail Bioware has put in themselves. How can anyone make such bad decisions for one game when the other two games were so good?

 TL;DR

We'll go ahead and produce DLCs, as already planned, that are at least partly based on what you want.

Yes. The uplifting ending. "Then Commander Shepard said a tearful goodbye to everybody she loved before her final fight. She fought the hardest battle of her life to get to the beam, only to be blasted nearly to death. She enters the Citadel broken and bleeding, is forced to kill her own commanding officer, then gives in to the suggestions of some random spacechild VI and kills everyone in the galaxy including herself without a question. Oh, and for some reason, her crew left without her and crash-landed on a random planet for no reason. Now let's tell a story about the time she liberated Omega."

Couldnt have said it any better buddy well put!!;)

I hear what you have to say Mr Hudson...and I politely stand my ground as I won't be buying any extra DLCs until the ending issue is fixed, that includes Multiplayer DLCs....

Thanks for the official statement and I will continue holding the line.

It's a start.

It's a terrible start, showing that they are either ignorant of or are intentionally ignoring the issues we have, but it is a start. I won't go so far as to suggest that they don't even know how the game they created ended, but I can certainly see how someone could come to that conclusion based on this statement.

I also find it distastefully and transparently deceptive to only link to positive reviews when trying to make the reader believe that they are being objective and understanding. We are already aware of the positive reviews, and have dismissed many of them in whole or in part as completely missing the point, if not outright unreliable due to conflict of interest or deadline pressure forcing the review of an incomplete play through.

So, while I applaud the attempt to open dialog, I'm afraid it will take a considerably more earnest response, focused on demonstrating an understanding of and then addressing the issues we have with the product they failed to deliver before I am prepared to believe that they are attempting to dialog with us in good faith.  I would suggest they still have a long way to go to regain the good will this consumer once had for their brand.

Until then, holding the line.

BioWare continuously refuses to humble itself in the face of criticism.

^this... So much this

like who do they thing they are... I so it with DA 2 and how they handle the critism  then and now it just gets worst..
There is pride and then there is vain pride.. and Bioware is being very vain... that is not good ...

The benefit of the doubt is a reward best given to those you still have unwavering faith in or confusing devotion.

The last four years of gaming has more or less told me that being a fan boy of anything is a mistake now. I personally don't fit the market most game companies are producing games for now.I firmly believe almost everyone complaining about ME3's ending and those who had reservations regarding Dragon Age 2 also are in the same boat.

I've personally played/owned every Bioware game released. I mean I actually own 4 different copies of NWN and a few copies of each expansion. I was an early adopter for SWTOR and pretty much was a hardcore Bioware fanboy. Hell i didn't even like Dragon Age 2 yet i bought DLC for it and a copy of the game for my brother. Bought all of ME2's DLC on launch day and i even used my remaining Bioware points on spectre packs in ME3 multiplayer. What does all that mean? I'm a loyal customer as are many people.

The bottom line is there's no point in being loyal to a company that doesn't pander to your viewpoint. You support them by getting preorders, passing good word of mouth, aggressively positive reviews, and name dropping like crazy. However it doesn't really matter if you aren't their core demo.

Feels like forever since i just sat down.

/salute Bioware

I wish you the best, i'll never forget the fun I've had in the past with your games.
