This official response, while I appreciate the effort, was utterly void of substance.

I dont care all the straw men they pull out and quote. There are plenty of good aspects of the game, no doubt. I would like the one thing to be addressed that really matters.

Then endings. They need to be addressed. They cannot stay as they are. Even done to a little thing, such as squad members magically going from being in my team in London, to walking out of the Normandy on jungle planet.

Work needs to be done. Even if this to be the final and conclusive ending, it needs to be patched so it works right.

These are the things that need address. The game needs a patch. It should get work done on the ending.

But regardless of all that, Bioware should just deal with it. Get off the PR circuit, get a bit of bottle, and issue a response that is definitive and conclusive. Will the endings be changed or not? They get to work on patching the game. Worry about pushing the DLC until after the game that we all paid 60+ bucks for is complete.

Do people believe this person? Didn't he say something about how the endings will be so unique to each player?

All I got from ME3 was an incoherent mess. New York Times must have been smoking crack to call the ending coherent. It's at best ignorant of everything that happened in prior games or even within ME3 it-self. Case in point: My squad members magically appear on board the Normandy when, if they had survived, they should have just followed me through the beam at some point.

I saw don't release the pressure until you have a copy of the DLC loaded, played, and verified to be the real deal. Can't trust him any more after what has happened.

I'm not reading to much into anything ATM, I've exhaused myself reading so many threads since last Friday, it's consumed every minute (car wreck, bad shape, can't do much lol, so I play games and read) but I'm just gonna hold out...if it comes it does, if it doesn't it doesn't and then eventually I'll get over it, wont' be the first time I've been crushed and I'm sure it will happen again.

Side note, my damn Brackets on ESPN NCAA BBall are crushed :( So many upsets!

Is anyone else gone from depressed about the game ending to depressed about this? The fans are unhappy, the developers fail to make the fans happy, the game is dragged down by this.

It's like watching something you love curl up and die. Goddamn it, I didn't want this.

Why do I get the feeling he's talking to us with such arrogance?

Well we are just a handful of "passionate" (i.e. irrational) fans after all.

Why does passionate equal irrational?

Some people need to calm down a bit. BioWare is still figuring out what to do themselves, give them a break and be constructive instead of just critical.

I'm actually worried now that he thinks we hate the game. Why else cite reviews? We all say we love 99% of the game. If I were a game designer, and all the fanbase was only complaining about one thing, that would be a bit of a relief for me since it's easy to pinpoint and address...

Edit: Also, guys, it's been what two days since worldwide release? Getting the approval to make the ending DLC might take weeks to even do, and in the meantime he has said that our feedback will affect the content they develop in the next year. I think this was a really positive statement.

I love Chris and Jessica, they are both lovely lovely people.

But honestly I dont think the dev team takes a blind bit of notice of either of them. Or at least the Marketing Team wont let the Dev team listen to those silly community managers.

Buy yeah CH basically used a ton of vague double-talk, reiterated that they're aware of our concerns, and to buy unspecified DLC.  Thanks, I guess?

I'll be specific.  I'm not giving BioWare or EA one (more) penny until the ending fiasco is addressed/rectified.  Any DLC until then (i.e. Omega) is worthless to me.  Hold the line.

Yea, all I want Casey to admit is that he made a freaking incoherent ending. Instead, he talks about how the ending was great but I am just suffering from lack of closure. ITS NOT LACK OF CLOSURE. I AM SUFFERING FROM GETTING TROLLED WITH THE MOST RETARDED ENDING!

Ignorance or just ignoring us. Both are troubling.

ME 3 sell more then a million copy in 1 day probably...many people don't like the end. Many other yes...and,most important,BioWare want this end. Why?Don't know...and,imo,is not a bad end for me but if casey can explain me/us how can we read the ending movie and the last 15 minutes of the game...well...maybe some clarification will calm us all.Indoctrination?Yes/No?
DLC or Not...with the relay destroyed Mass effect franchise is dead just because mass effect is based on the relay travel.

Hope someone of BioWare can atleast read this message.

Judging by Jessica's tweet it would seem day 1 dlc was just the tip of the iceberg. I can already seeing this becoming a new trend to put up an ending that isn't complete only to release dlc that fills up what the ending should've been to begin with.

GO SEE JESSICA TWEETER! HUGE HINT AT ENDING DLC!

More like HUGE PILE OF ****, same "hints" as always, aka gibberish and lies.

This,
all she is doing is indulging fan speculation.

If i were her i'd tone it down, if there is no change/fix/expanding of the ending she is going to be quite an attractive target for the less stable personalities of the internets

Words words words. But no commitment. Hopeful tweets are all well and good, but they're just that.

Also, clearly completely missing the point of why people are upset about the endings.

Bioware: at this point just take the indoctrination theory and run with it. You can even claim that was the plan all along, I don't really care. The fact is: it makes 100x more sense in context of the game and can be implemented without having to change a single thing in the current game. Just add a bit more to the ending.

Now they really seem to listen to us so we need to continue and hold the line. Always respectfully.

Sorry, it's just non-commital spin. I don't think she knows anything.

Mr. Hudson, while I respect your position, and am glad you have been paying attention to the viewpoints of the audience, I still cannot and will not forgive the ME Development team for the endings to the game. They are not uplifting nor inspiring in any way. They say nothing about the journey our Shepard has taken, nor the sacrifices s/he has made, nor the accomplishments s/he has achieved. They are based on flawed logic, and they ignore or obfuscate so much of the message of the Mass Effect series--individuality and free will, the strength to move forward no matter the circumstances, hope for the future, freedom from the cycles of hatred and mistrust that bind and destroy us.

While I don't necessarily think crafting a new ending is the proper response, I do hope that you will examine the processes that led you to this point and evaluate what happened. I have been a Bioware fan for a long time and hope I will continue to be long into the future--I loved the Mass Effect series and Mass Effect 3, and it honestly pained me to see it end this way. Please don't let something like this happen again.

Whatever they are planning needs to be announced within days not weeks,
If this lasts longer than 2 more days I don't care if you bring out the best ending DLC ever. You ruined an entire week out of my life I will never get back.
It's literally 2:21am and I have work tomorrow, I've lost loads of sleep over this staying on the forums for updates.

When this proportion of the fan base is annoyed at the ending, it's not just that it's controversial or bold, it's that it's poor. The die-hard fans may not be entirely representative of the wider ME-buying community, but there will be a reasonably strong correlation. Sadly I am pretty certain that the deeply flawed conclusion will never be fixed, but we can but hope...

If we stick together and don't use Ea and Bioware stuff I am sure that it weill be fixed.  If we were not having an impact gaming sites that get money from Ea would not be mocking us and we would not be getting all these PR BS tweets and Forum posts.  Look they are very worried, some one is telling them to take the wind out of our sails because we are hurting their sales and they don't want to have to tell their stockholders that what was supposed to be one of the biggest games of all time had one good week or sales and well not sell as much DLC as they hoped.  If we stick together they will have no choice but to give the game they told us we were buying in the first place. Don't lose hope,it has only been a week. They are hoping we will lose hope, give up,and become a joke. Don't let that happen.

Hold the line as long as it takes people.

Sometimes I wonder if they accidentaly shipped unfinished copies of ME3 and haven't realized it yet. Because what he writes is so far from what we got.

To be honest, when the game director has gone back on his word, I am finding it hard to trust a community manager on the topic.

As far as my trust goes, until the DLC is released, played by someone and verified to be great, I am not touching it or paying them a dime.
