a series of endings to key plots and
storylines, each culminating in scenes that show you the consequences of
your actions.  You then carry the knowledge of these consequences with
you as you complete the final moments of your journey.

They've been completely honest so far, so I'm going to believe every word.

Im not even sure if this is serious or not, but it made me laugh.

Have you seen their pre-release statements? Sarcasm through a keyboard.... it's difficult.

So basically another letter written by some PR intern and approved by Casey Hudson? This letter mentions nothing about a possible improvement on the ending. In reality, I think that he just double down on the ending by stating that

"We always intended that the scale of the conflict and the underlying theme of sacrifice would lead to a bittersweet ending—to do otherwise would betray the agonizing decisions Shepard had to make along the way. "

Casey Hudson has a gift for saying almost nothing in that many words. Good god.

While pre-end DLC would be nice unlike the last games where DLC could aid you in the end... it'd be kinda pointless this time around.

Thanks for the newsfeed.

Maybe know I can go to bed, telling myself they'll fix it. Everything will be better... I just need to be patient.

once again, saying an awful lot without saying anything at all.

I appreciate his more sympathetic tone, but he doesn't address the true issues, and skirts around the issue. We all knew dlc would be coming, and just because Shepard "isn't over", doesn't mean we will get what we have earned.

IMO this is just another deflection. But we're closer to getting a real answer, and with it hopefully real change. We just have to keep the fires burning and hold the line.

Thanks for taking this journey with us.

Casey Hudson

If i knew this journey would have just culminated in a bunch of lies and false promises with a topping of plotholes and disappointment id have never started it.

While it's fairly non-committal... I will hold on a bit longer. You had better act quickly though, BioWare. A lot of us aren't going to stick around forever waiting. A lot more of us still will probably drop this thing like a hot potato if you announce any DLC that happens before the ending. You're skating a fine line, but this should give us a bit of hope.

Well, it seems like what he's saying is that the endings that were there were what they originally intended, with the "...final moments and imagery as offering victory and hope in the context of sacrifice and reflection" line, with no clear emphasis on whether the future additions to Shepard's story will be new endings, or more content in the middle of the game.

It's nice that we're hearing something now, though. My only guess is that if we want actual ending DLC, that changes or adds to the whole Catalyst confrontation, we need to keep making that known, and Hold the line.

Summerized:

1. The game is good
2. The ending is uplifting.
3. Some of you are not satisfied. Got it.
4. Pay us for the coming DLC.

Too many words to say nothing at all.

Will The Ending be fixed or not? Will our choices actually matters?

Any solution will come AFTER endings are fixed.

Right. I think I'm done trying to sympathize with this community. Ever since finishing the game, you're all like "Please please PLEASE just give us something. Anything. Even a hint that you know what's going on and are willing to work with us. That's all we ask."

Then you get exactly that, and the first and only reaction is complete and utter hostility. You people make me sick.

You realize making an Omega DLC could be "more of Shepard"?

This in no way says they're going to fix the endings or even make a post-ending DLC.

An outpouring of love for Garrus and Tali led to their inclusion as love
interests in Mass Effect 2.

Which is why they will die out of starvation stucked on the jungle planet lol? :P

Seriously though, good read, appreciate Casey taking time to touch on the questions raised by fans, but please BioWare, just fix Normandy & teleporting squadmates part. That one was just jarring, disconnected and didn't make any sense. I'm absolutely fine with everything else.

But we also recognize that some of our most
passionate fans needed more closure, more answers, and more time to say
goodbye to their stories

Talk about completely missing the point.

I would just like something that made sense, make it as open ended, depressing and short as you like, lets just have it connect to the story we were involved in can we.

Being killed by Maurader Shields and getting no ending cutscene or explanation would of be preferable to Star Child, at least I'd of died knowning I had been slain by a worthy foe.

RIP Maurader Shields.

Its nice he is giving a response, but he didn't explain what exactly that means. He basically said "Yeah we understand a lot of people don't like how it ended. Hang on we're making DLC." To be honest that is the answer that was strongly hinted at on twitter a while ago. It doesn't confirm anything, just strengthens knowledge we already had.

Statement is here in the announcements thread: http://social.biowar.../index/10089946

As far as it meaning anything...seems like not so much actual content there. Maybe we'll get some real answers at PAX. Unfortunately that'll probably be after I get rid of the game.

Of course the game isn't over. They still have DLC to sell us and an ending to un-f**k up.
