Some people do like the endings, they are just a very small portion of the fanbase.

How is it amazing when many parts of it make no sense?

I dont care what the ending is as long as i can understand what happens and how.

ME3 doesnt do that, hence it fails.

Consult polls.

There is one on this forum with something like 50,000 votes, and 90% of them do not like the endings.

me2 had alot of plotholes and people dont make such a big deal about it let alone create a charity about it

ps. that money better go to charity because if it dosent i hope the people who started it has something bad happen to them

its one thing to make a stand but if you use a charity to get it done and not deliver on it you deserve what happens to you

I assume Mass Effect 2 lacked plotholes?

i know right?

human reaper imo is one giant plothole but yet people are more wet in the pants about me3's ending since you know its the cool thing to rag on since it makes them look all cool and stuff

Excellent deduction. Complaining about an ending that makes so much less sense than ME2's ending (at the end of the series, no doubt, and with such a huge DEM device to boot), and having so many people in agreement with that sentiment, obviously means that they're just trying to look "cool and stuff".

Wow. Holy.... holy lord... lordy, lordy lordy.... there are no words, bro.

Shepard: Ok guys, its time... we're retaking earth.

*collective yay*

Behind the scenes when shepard is out of the room.

Normandy crew: **** that, im not dying on earth! Lets just use the mass relay and leg it once we drop shepard off and his team off.

Garrus: The hell with that, your coming back to pick us up as soon as we can slip away, shepards on his own.

What the hell happened to imagination? Why do we need an explanation for every single thing?
Just think them, and that's it.

I bet that if Bioware explains everything, people won't be happy anyway, because they won't like the explanation.

Why do we need an official ending in stead of making on ourselves?

Well, why do we need BioWare to make video games for us, and not just think up video games in our own minds?

Yeah, a trilogy's ending is supposed to be satisfying . A lot of people didn't pay 60 to 80 USD to make up an ending in our heads.

Personally, the whole ending fiasco is just beyond pathetic; this is Bioware's vision of how the game should end, not you guys as you all didn't do backbreaking work of making the game, nor created the series.

I'm guessing you guys missed all the articles dating back from 2007 stating that Mass Effect was our story and not their story. You guys are looking at this fro ma moviegoer's perspective, not a gamer's perspective.

I can happily imagine a better ending.

My shep dies.
Liara pregnant with shepards kid.
Turian / Asari / Humans begin rebuilding homeworlds.
Salarian government military cue succeeds STG in charge, begins helping races rebuild in an attempt to mend bridges due to not helping with the reaper threat.
Krogan begin to rebuild, closely monitored by turians.
Normandy survives.
Citadel lost, council extended to include krogan, council decide on creating a new "citadel" on a habitable planet, with the aim of creating a utopia etc.

All can be affected by your choices ingame ofc.

*spoiler*
Point is though, the ending we got ingame, just sucked / partly didnt even make sense. I just dont get why the normandy ran, with all crew onboard except shep...

Made sense to me.

In fact, I've heard way, way too many arguments about not liking the ending which display signs of simply not having understood things which are actually quite logical.

Don't get me wrong, there are legitimate confusing things. But not everyone doesn't understand the endings because of them. Some people just genuinely don't get it.

So, what part of the story did you write? How many hours did you spend programing a battle scene? Which character did you voice?
Its BW baby, not yours or anyones outside of the company. Guess when they said it was your story you actually thought you had control of the storyline and outcome? Awww thats so cute:huh:

But then again, ive been gaming since the late 80's, so no im not a gamer

it still is our story if you think about it

the choices in the first 2 games do in fact continue your story in me3 depending how you play

show me a argument how bioware lied and took out any continuity of continuing your romance with someone you had from the very first game

The ending confused me... you think Shepard going back 50,000 years to the past? I'm curious about The Catalyst. What build/created it? the Big Bang?

No like ze' ending, seems kinda meh.

Okay regardless of what you think about the whole destroy, control, synthesis concept; you have to admit the ending(s) lacked in content. A five minute clip for the ending cutscene does not do such imersive trilogy justice. Honestly, showing two reapers falling over/ lifting off does not give a sense of accomplishment, unless what you wanted to accomplish was watching Shepard die to kill/ controll/ whatever the third option does to said reapers.

The endings don't make sense. There's a myriad of plot holes, gaps, and inconsistencies.

Let the bashing continue.

Except that poll isn't a lie. It exists, as I've voted in it.

What evidence do you have that the majority of fans like the ending? Because from polls, to posts on the BSN, to review sites like Amazon or Metacritic, the hate for the endings is nearly universal.

That's great if you like the ending. I'm happy for you. But you are part of a tiny minority.
