Fine, show me some evidence that supports the majority likes the ending.

That would take a great deal of proper market research and testing to be fair. It's not as simple as "i pointed to a poll on the internet that says i am right so i am!"

Millions of people purchased Mass Effect 3 around the world.  even the biggest polls are only pulling in less than 100k which is a small minority of the market demographic. Not big enough to properly conduct a research test that would say the majority of people who bought the game liked or disliked something.

So you have no evidence then?

It's not millions. It's 1.85 million so far. Maybe 2 million by now. How many units do they need to sell to breakeven?

i like the endings and others do as well

i dont need a poll to show where i stand on the matter ill flat out tell you

Wrong. I didn't bring a bunch of people and hijack a whole thread to be about my opinions and then try to abuse and humiliate people who started a thread that is against what i believe.

What i did was point out that some people are taking things too far by making all sorts of threats and spamming the forum. I can't read a single thread on here that isn't taken over by the anti-ending group.

As for what they said did they hand on heart swear that everyone would be happy with it and that they'd tie up loose ends to everyones satisfaction including all your dating sim relationships with whatever LI you have?

Did they promise it would be a happy sunshine ending where you get to save the world and get the girl and live happily ever aftter as the hero of ferel...I mean the galaxy?

Not a very nice thing to say.

and hijacking threads is a nice thing to do?

the argument isnt just one sided because you and your group hijack threads all the time

do you expect people to just shut up and agree to everything you say?

But they are only hijacking pro games threads...oh hang on..yeah i see :innocent:

Those are North American sales. Last time i checked North America is not the whole world.

And like i said gathering factual evidence is not something you can do with an internet poll there is no scope to that test or any rules for which information can be gathered and tested. No demographics of the audience it's an anonymous poll where we can't see any information about the people involved and if people voted more than once etc.

To test properly first you'd need to set the test up and then research and test the results to work ouit what different demographics thought of the ending.

Taken out of context to prove your point but okay. Was true for the people it was aimed at who were screaming about how Bioware lied to them and being completely unrealistic.

Okay, but my point is you hijack threads with unproductive posts. It's hypocritical for you to tell others not to do it.

Moondoggie, I came into this thread to correct one person's mistaken idea that people didn't like the ending because it didn't end happily ever after. I didn't criticize her for liking it. I just wanted her to be aware of the reasons why people didn't like it.

My post was aimed at a bunch of people who came on here who were being particularly nasty to people who liked the ending just because they don't agree with them.

There were a few, but none of them came close to the plothole-infested hellhole that was Mass Effect 3's ending.

That is unless we're talking indoctrination.

Fine, show me some evidence of world sales then. The latest numbers are 1.85 million sold.

It's not just the poll. It's everywhere in these forums, it's on all retail sites, it's on Facebook and Wikipedia, and it's in the news. There is even anecdotal evidence of large numbers used copies at GameStop and people tell us their friends who don't go on the forums don't like the ending.

You can choose to believe the majority likes the ending. It doesn't really matter. I choose not to.

despite the fact that confused the hell out of me i still enjoyed me2 regardless

if people can look past that in me2 they can do so again with the endings of me3

I'd back up the hardcore fans ending props, they usually know better when something's not right. And if they're pleased with a game, then that's the best you'll get from it. If you enjoyed the game as it is, then probably you would had enjoyed more with their stuff added/changed. I never played the ME series but I usually take a look at large complains. As an example of content satisfaction, in the movie industry, I've seen way much better fan edits that official edit releases. I played DA Origins and DA2, and as many ME fans, there was a great disappointment. Just take a look at metacritic and you'll see, or the numerous joke threads and complains in their forum sections.

They're not going to change. People respond in different ways. Unfortunately for you, there are nine of them for every one of you. Maybe you can be nine times as venomous though to even it out.

Oh come on now you are just being silly. The internet is not a good place to gather factual evidence especially on facebook and wikipedia lol. The problem is that the groups who get together are often minorities and they are very loud on the internet taking over many sites to get their message out and that isn't just in this case it's been in several cases of minority groups who are against something being louding than those who are not on the internet.

To properly test how EVERYONE who played the game felt you need to research it properly. Browsing facebook and review websites where people often write multiple bad reviews just to lower the score to use as "evidence" are not fair ways to test it. There's no evidence of demographics and no control over people voting twice etc.

It seems like you would have at least one piece of evidence to support your conclusion. DA2 didn't sell that well and it had 3.5/5 stars on Amazon. ME3 has 2/5 stars on Amazon.

The proof will be in the sales in the coming weeks.

Amazon is not a good source of information people usually downrate games on there that are popular to hate on.

well I just finished ME3 and i,m in the middle on the ending. I admit yes it did have plot holes and i,m not going to deny that but overall I can live with the endings as is if they are not changed.

I will be playing my other shepards through and if along the line bioware change the ending to something else I,ll play that with no problems but I would not bet on it too much.

Personally, the whole ending fiasco is just beyond pathetic; this is Bioware's vision of how the game should end, not you guys as you all didn't do backbreaking work of making the game, nor created the series.
