I was a bit upset that she would barely talk to me in ME2, but I couldn't bring myself to cheat on her (I'm not sure I would have tried romancing Mr.Dull a.k.a. Jacob, Insectoid-Alien a.k.a. Garrus or Lizard-Alien Thane anyway... I didn't find the first interesting and the next two were waaaay too... not-human).
Then came Lair of the Shadow Broker and I was glad I could rekindle... but it didn't count as a romance.
And in ME3, I was tempted to cheat with Traynor (she's adorable), but I remained faithful to Liara.
Talking about blue children, Asari are supposed to mate and conceive during the matron stage, which Liara hasn't reached yet, right?

There was a problem in Mass Effect 1; Ashley somehow became my love interest, even though I've tried to push her away with renegade dialog and such. I rejected her the night before we flew into the final chapter of the series. I didn't want her because she just didn't catch my attention.
In Mass Effect 2, a dream come true hit me: Tali'Zorah was a romance option. So I jumped on board for the chance to date her and since then, I've stuck with her in 3. Even though I technically 'dumped' Ashley, I never wanted her in the first place.
Overall, it depends: Yes if you don't care whether or not you made a mistake in the series, no if you don't. Either way, I don't care.

I actually have a ME2 playthrough that I was planning on importing where I betrayed him and romanced Garrus because Kaidan pissed me off on Horizon and Garrus is such a badass, but now that I've seen Kaidan's ME3 romance, I just...can't...do it!

Yeah but I think it's more along the lines of how women try to not get pregnant while they're teenagers and wait till they're older than anything really set by some kind of literal biological clock. According to the codex Maidens are all about exploring and adventure and Matrons settle down and build a family but it specifically states that this is just a norm and there are always exceptions to the rule such as Maidens that stay close to home rather than explore and Matrons that would rather work than build a family. So it's possible Liara could choose to have children even though she isn't in the Matron stage of life.Atarun wrote...

Hehe yes, especially Wrex!DeeBeeP wrote...
If I had known it was going to end the way it did I would have slept with everyone, even Wrex...
Seriously thought, I stayed loyal to Kaidan, and I actually enjoyed that bickering about Cerberus....besides, he comes around in the end
I thought it was a great romance...Makes the end so much more unbearable

My paragon Shep cheated on Ashley with Miranda.
The other three, I can't remember, It was a while ago, but one of them got together with Jack.
I've only played ME3 with my renegade femShep, won't import my other Sheps (ending issues).
Edit: None of them cheated on Liara, she's too likeable.

Do you think they can control their reproductive system, like Bene Gesserit in Dune? They are, after all, very powerful psychics. ^^
