I was actually expecting star child to be replaced by sunflower girl in my FemShep play through. /sad panda I guess she just gets to be the slurry.

Look at the Crucible.
Back at the sunflower field.

The sunflowers are now Reapers.

Starchild was just mad because Sunflower Girl flew the toy ship better.

So, I think Sunflower girl represents Humanity and order since she's flying the alliance toy ship and sunflowers have the whole Fibonacci sequence thing. Since the reapers burned the toy and the flowers I don't think they're all about order at all. I think THEY are the chaos in the universe and have been lying to us this whole time. Now if only the ending could have kept this same sort of symbolism in a non sucky way...
