Sincerely,
A fan of most of your games since Baldur's Gate

I would like to add this: While the death of Commander Shepard and various old friends, the death of the millions of people on the worlds of the galaxy, is sad, it is also appropriate. I appreciate the sacrifice theme in the story. However, not being able to avoid the destruction of the mass relays in any of the endings is going too far. This makes not for a bittersweet ending, but for a crushingly depressing ending.

I agree except for the comment on being okay with a bittersweet ending. I have to be honest here: every time I see a bittersweet ending in a book, a movie, or a video game, I feel like I'm being lectured that "there's no such thing as a happy ending", and I don't obtain satisfaction from that. I believe in courage, honor, conquering insurmountable odds, and living happily ever after, and I don't feel like I should apologize for wanting that from Mass Effect.

I don't hate the endings, nor I support them, I like them though.
This being said, I am able to relate the fan-community with it's claims for a better solution.
Sincerly
