Thanks for listening, here's my feedback:

What I DID like:

1. General Gameplay: Really improved. Not scanning for minerals, bypassing and hacking anymore, shows that previous feedback was taken into account. Also, the fatigue gained while running 5 meters was wiped out. Buying quests' stuff later on stores, if you'd missed it during a mission, was a good idea. Finally, thumbs up for the war assets system.
2. Combat gameplay: Amazing, really well done. You can actually imagine yourself taking part of every battle. Excellent enemies AI. Cheers for de OmniBlade, Grabs, and taking cover actions. Also, grenades system and the lack of heavy weapons is, in my opinion a sound improvement.
3. Graphics: I noticed an improvement in texture's details and enviromental design was really thorough. Last but no least, headshots and explosions details really improved.
4. Sound: Music really increases adrenalyne during combat and makes you emotionally involved in certain conversations.
5. Galaxy: I really enjoyed visiting almost all alien's homeworlds (despite of the circumstances, heh). Nice cities' designs.
6. Story: Well, what can I say? Amazing as always (excluding the ending of course).
7. Characters: I liked that there was not a lot of new faces to meet or "get-to-know" characters. It made things easier. Also, personalities' changes through the trilogy was very clever. Including EDI took away my breath, and her development through the game (human-like in my case) was brilliant.
8. Enemies: Harvested aliens of all sort gave a lot of sense to the story. Although there were practically 3 factions, the different ranks of each faction gave the game a tactical approach (really important in Multiplayer).
9. Multiplayer: Really funny and the CO-OP mode choice is accurate.
10. Earth Battle: Space Battle was epic and I could see most of the war assets I collected through the story. Hackett's speech onthe Normandy was really encouraging and so was Shepard's on Earth.
11. Ending (Until I met the Child God): I had to play it twice in order to understand I was fighting Indocrination. BRILLIANT, it was like watching Memento, Lol! (movie).

What I DID NOT like:

1.General Issues or Bugs: Enemies could often see me while being invisible (infiltrator). On Earth, if you kill the Harvester before reaching the combat zone, the combat mode will never end and you won't be able to open the door (will remain red coloured). If you stand next to Joker on the Normandy's cockpit, (on a certain square) you get stucked. On Surkesh, if you take cover behind certain columns, you get stucked. Sometimes during multiplayer sessions, if you get killed you can end "below" the map. In order to complete Aria's quest, you must not save the game between talking to Bailey and recruiting that mercenaries' faction. When Liara introduces you to Glymph, they keep staring at it while talking.
2. Combat Gameplay: Party members sometimes took silly positions during combat, even blocking my aim. Also, their AI consists on shooting or using powers without any tactics, unless you command them especifically.
3. Graphics: Several objets' shadows were awfully done. They looked like black stains.
4. Sound: Trailers' music was more epic than the game's. Also, I don't know if It was only me, but Mordin's voice sounded different, especially when you first talk to him.
5. Galaxy: Some systems' position in the galaxy weren't exactly the ones from the previous games. Also, I could have spent a few hours visiting Hanar's, Drell's, Elcor's and Volus homeworlds with side-quests.
6. Story: The ending (see below).
7. Characters: Some ME2 characters were very left aside, almost pushed away from the story, especially love interests. During Earth's Battle, I was only allowed to see them through a communication station. Ashley's role (in non-romance choice playthrough), was almost secondary. I couldn't even talk to her on the Normandy. Rachni Queen was REALLY mistreated, I thought she would be stronger.
8. Enemies: Lack of diversity (only three factions), but that's ok.
9. Multiplayer: Joining a party asks me to select my character while I have already selected one.
10. Earth Battle: Ground Battle was the opposite of epic... Where were the War Assets??? I expected to see bands of Krogan charging leaded by Grunt, Asari blasting reaper forces with biotics leaded by Samara, or commandos with rifles. Major Kirrahee holding the line. Jack leading biotics. Miranda & Jacob crushing cannibals. Zaheed setting something on fire. My non-party companions giving hell to reaper forces like ME2 with the collectors. Mercenaries working together as I've just united them under Aria's iron fist. Geth Primes, Elcor tanks, Turian Spec Ops, Spectres, etc, etc, etc. I repeat, where were the War Assets??? And the missions... destroying the AA gun, and getting through no man's land... and that's pretty much it.
11. Ending (After meeting the Child God): Well, lots of stuff has been already said about this. Here's what I think..
a) I was really disappointed by the lack of choice. Mmmm, A, B or C...?
B) Child God was unnecesary. Reaper's were ranked down as simple pawns.
c) Mass Realys destruction stranded everyone in their current locations. I've just played 30+ hours to unite them.
d) "Hey Mr. Child God, I've just proved that organics and synthetics can live together!" - "No, you must destroy them because there will be chaos" - "But!..." - "No, destroy all, or give into indocrination" - "Bahh! OK!".
e) No closure! ME3 gave no closure. What happened to the diferent characters? Who is dead and who is not? How did all the choices I made through the 3 games play out?
f) Adam & Eve: How did the Normandy get to that planet? Why is Liara there?!! She was just with me....
g) Cutscenes: Or lack of... I'd have liked seeing how some homeworlds reacted to the reaper's destiny (whichever it is)... dunno... Krogan on Tchuchanka, Asari on Thessia, etc, etc. Nothing was said after the final choices, except for the Stargazer (unnecesary and out of context) and the (if I may) insulting message saying "Sheppard's a legend! Be ready for DLC". You already know that we'll be waiting for DLC.

I do not recall anything else right now. Again, thanks for listening. ME 1, 2, 3 is an amazing trilogy (one of the best I've played). I enjoyed 99% of the game, except for the final 5 minutes, flooded with lack of choice and giving NO closure.

Hope this was helpful. Tried to be constructive.

See ya!

D.

Add ending dialogue to the catalyst scene. Discuss origin of reapers. Discuss 3 options in detail. Discuss motivation for reapers... Technological singularity?

It would be great if BioWare would end with popularity contest in their next game. By popularity contest I mean "placing companions in the game, based on their popularity". If you decide to put some character in the game once, then stick to it. Don't change him into some minor NPC just because his topic wasn't long enough. I know that it's hard when there is so many companions as in ME franchise, but it's better to make fewer companions than disappoint fans of less popular characters. It's ok if some companion will die and stuff, but it's not ok when they are deleted like companions from ME2.

For example, I loved Jack in ME2, she was the most unique female character in whole series. And what I get in ME3? Less than 10 minutes of her. Great.

If BioWare will keep doing this we end up with squads like in ME3. Squad mates are kind ok but all of them are very similar. All of them are kind and nice persons because most of people like flattering companions. But why there can't be any chaotic character?

I would like to see the Journal system sorted out in a new patch.

It was far superior in Mass Effect 1, let us expand quests and have it update as we complete them.

Also I'd like an expanded final battle along the lines of Mass Effect 2. Let us fight alongside the allies we have aquired throughout the game.

I want to see Rachni soldiers slaughtering Cannibals and Geth Primes stomping on Banshees!

I agree with the other posters.  The game was awesome up to the end.  I took the synergy ending but viewed the other endings online.  None of them provide meaningful closure or a rational epilogue to the game.  My biggest complaint is the crass advertising for DLC after Shepard dies and the credits roll.  The game immediately returns you to your ship with your crew and everone intact, asking if you're ready for the next mission.  It breaks the narrative of the game and really feels like a cash grab.  There is nothing wrong with making money but advertising like this is extremely detrimental to such a story driven game.  I can live with an unhappy ending.  I can live with the current endings, but only if the game sticks to it.  Shepard's death means nothing if you can play DLC after you've beaten the game.  Shepard either needs to survive, or the game needs to permanently end.  I also hope any DLC released to fix this is free.  If it is not, I think it sets a dangerous precedent where gamers are forced to pay additional for a satisfying ending.  Mass Effect 3 was an incredible game.  It was just the last 10 minutes that left a bitter taste.

While I'd like to see any fixes come in the form of FREE DLC providing an altered ending for gamers that wish to see one, I understand the complexities and costs incurred and involved with creating a game and subsequent DLC. So what I humbly ask is that IF you decide to use the Indoctrination theory and include more dialogue and clarification, that it be free DLC.

Though not happy; many, if not all involved in this movement are ardent fans that are pushing for a desire to see the trilogy come to a fitting end. I know this may be an incredible stretch to craft such in depth and unprecedented alteration, post production; but If the DLC were to be at a cost it would have to be SUBSTANTIAL for us to accept it.

Mostly every issue with the current endings has been raised in this thread. For my two cents I think we need to provide information for you that is more valuable than just constructive criticism and that is to provide you with what we'd like to see as a proposed ending.

I would LOVE to see an ending that goes something like this:

Everything else runs the same up to the “Godchild scene’ however there is No Kid- instead it’s Harbinger. He appears in hologram form much like he did in the Arrival DLC.  He says something like, “This is futile. We demand the end of this cycle. Surrender and you shall be spared.” As he talks, the Indoctrination ‘black lines’ get more intense and pulsate. Shepard responds, naturally, with a quick “F you.” This really gets us amped to destroy the reapers.
Harbinger cuts out and where his hologram was is a Prothean beacon. After approaching it, Images appear as blueprints of Harbinger’s design. As seen a few times before in the series, the Reapers are used as vessels and so they can be boarded. Harbinger is the key to ending the Reaper threat. Board him and destroy him and you end the battle.
Harbinger calls and heads up to intercept you along with all the Reaper forces left. Essentially they abandon taking Earth and focus on stopping you.
As a Throwback to the fight with Saren, TIM gets re-animated and a much needed boss fight ensues. You beat him and talk to Anderson, before he succombs to his injuries. The Reaper forces have arrived at the Citadel but since the portal has been left unguarded, the remaining organic ground forces head through to fight the Reapers on The Citadel while all the assets fight in space. These scenes include every possible race you’ saved’ or destroyed : Every race comes through, provided you've saved them.
Add more awesome cut scenes for each depending on decisions (i.e. Geth forces take big loses or get destroyed entirely if Quarians aren’t there to assist and vice versa. This also can be done with the Turians/Batarians/Humans as well as the Salarians/Krogen)
Shepard, battered and beaten manages to muster the energy to call for the Normandy to send the Kodiak to pick him up. He hops in and makes a call for a decision that you must make – request that someone pull Harbinger's attention away from the Kodiak so he can board Harbinger.  You have to make a huge decision, choosing between a human fleet, Quarian, Geth, etc. to provide the distraction which ultimately end up getting destroyed by Harbinger.
Shepard successfully boards Harbinger. He fights his way through waves of Reaper forces inside. He gets to the Control Center of Harbinger and encounters severe Indoctrination pulses. Harbinger knows you’re inside and Harbinger is trying desperately to control you. An extreme indoctrination process ensues and you begin to black out. In your delusion, the “Godchild” is seen again and after chasing him down in your ‘dream’ he tells you to fight back against Harbingers Indoctrination attempts.
Depending on how “complete” you’ve played, different scenarios play out:
Incomplete – Harbinger successfully indoctrinates you, and forces you, much like TIM to shoot yourself in the head. In a last ditch effort you manage to slightly pull away but still fatally wound yourself. This slight retaliation provides just enough life and fight in you to enact a solitary heroic act of last defiance - initiating the destruction sequence via Omni tool.
Complete – You overcome Indoctrination in time to avert the bullet to the head and initiate a destruction sequence which begins to go off immediately.
Both result in an awesome montage of all the great things you’ve accomplished before Harbinger is destroyed, exploding with you in it, rendering all other Reapers and Reaper forces defunct.
Everyone rejoices and celebrates. ”The Shepard Story with Grandpa Buzz “cut scene plays but this time the backdrop is on Earth which is still Rebuilding from the destruction.
The “Shepard Lives” cut scene plays after the credits, but only for those with perfect Galactic Readiness.

I would definitely like to see more weight given to ME2 squadmates. Don't get me wrong, it was awesomecool to see Jack being a great big mama bear to her students, but once she's sent them off to war, she should have become a squaddie, especially as my Shep romanced her and he would have wanted her with him.

I'm sure numerous people have made the same suggestions as me, but I figured I'd throw my two cents in here just to show my disappointment with the endings.

I would like to see some sort of reasoning for why everything following Shepard waking up from Harbinger's blast was so disjointed and "dreamlike." Whether this be through the indoctrination theory or some other way, I'd like the ending to somehow reflect the rest of the Mass Effect series up to that point.

But, if Bioware intends to keep the post-blast segments as based in the same reality as everything else, I would like to see it unfold much differently, with Shepard being able to react with a wide variety of options to the conversation with the Starchild and for there to be more than three canned endings that introduce more questions than answers.

Have a few endings where Shepard dies, fine, maybe have some where he survives as well, but show the results of either. Show his funeral and memorial or show him with his friends and allies following the conflict. Also, please get rid of the random sequence with Joker and the Normandy suddenly in a mass relay and then crashing with my squad who were just on Earth. It makes no sense. Rather, it would be nice to see how your other squadmates are faring during the final conflict, and this could then segway into the aformentioned funeral/memorial or Shepard's reunion with them.

I'd like to see some galactic closure as well, be it with the Quarians and Geth, the Krogan and the genophage. Why do the mass relays need to be destroyed in ever option? This seems like it negates everything achieved all over the galaxy up to that point. Have some endings where they aren't destroyed, which would then allow you to follow up with the things like the quarians, krogans, and whatnot. Show Shepard's lasting effects throughout the galaxy in some way.

Finally, please remove the sequence with the grandfather and child. The whole, "it was just a story" detracts from the feel that you were a part of this epic experience.

That said, I'd really just like something, anything other than the current "ending." As has been repeated many times previously, the game was amazing up until the final 10 minutes. Those final moments seemed largely disconnected from everything else and for myself and my friends who were also very much invested in the series, left us with no desire to replay this epic as the previous two games had. I can't even replay those anymore knowing that it's seemingly all for naught.

Please do something to remedy this and rekindle the enthusiasm that myself and so many other gamers had developed for the Mass Effect series.

Hello. I just wanted to say
that Mass Effect has been a great series to me. It didn't feel like a
game. It felt like it was something else. I don't know how to say it. I
liked everything. Except the ending. The was no clearance at all in the ending scenes.

I decided to make a VID to kill some time and
waiting and hoping for a upcoming DLC.

I appreciate it a lot if you click on this link
and take just a little time to watch this VID.I want to remember Mass Effect as
a good game. Not with a game with a bad ending.

Link to my VID:www.youtube.com/watch

Thanks..

Mass Effect 3 4th Choice Ending a.k.a. “Happy Rainbow Ending”

This endings outcome is heavily influenced by the choices made in all three games, including paragon/renegade scores across all three games.

The Catalyst informs Shepard of the reasons for the Reapers and their purpose.  He then gives Shepard the three choices.  Blue, Green or Red.

Now, if your war asset rating (overall number, and preparedness) is high enough, you get the option of telling the Catalyst no, and choosing a 4th option.  Shepard contacts Admiral Hackett, and informs him to have the Allied Fleet attack and destroy the Citadel.  This will cause the destruction of the Catalyst and thus the controlling influence on the Reapers.  This will cause the Reapers to “spasm” and loose control (ala Sovereign after Saren’s final death in ME1).  At that time the fleet can turn its firepower in the Reapers, now able to penetrate their barriers and destroy them.

Here’s where the choices you’ve made come in to play heavily.  If you’ve done nothing special but beat all three games, then Shepard remains on the Citadel as it is destroyed around him, dying in some epic way, like a dreadnought shot right at where he’s standing.

However if you have done more than just the central storyline, there are changes.  Also your over all, between all three games, paragon/renegade rating will effect this.  As will your romance choices, and if you stayed with someone throughout all three games or not.

1. Shepard is rescued by (Insert person/faction here)
a. Did Shepard romance a specific person?  That faction or person comes to rescue them.  (a.k.a., if Liara, a group of Asari Commandos comes in a shuttle to rescue you.  If Tali, then Quarians or Geth (depending on standing with Legion/if geth survived, etc).  If Garrus, depends on paragon/renegade standing.  If paragon, then Turians rescue, if renegade then Turian ship with Krogan rescue Shepard, etc.
b. Did Shepard romance a different person every game?  Are the Rachnai alive and with the Allied fleet?  Then they save Shepard.  If they are not then the Hanar or Drell or another secondary race.
c. Did Shepard stay with a specific human or romance only humans during the three games?  The Normandy itself comes to rescue Shepard, with Steve Cortez piloting the shuttle.  Of course if you romanced Cortez in ME3 then there will be a different reaction from him when you get on the shuttle/his run in to save you, than if you did not.

2. Immediate post rescue
a. The Allied fleet destroy every single Reaper ship in the air/space and on the ground.  Also due to the now lack of control the Reaper ground forces are in total chaos, some attacking each other, killing themselves, running blindly into waves of fire from Allied forces.  Others simply stop and shut down.
b. As soon as the ground forces and fleets have secured the area and there is very little resistance left, the fleets mass together, pick up most of the ground forces, and head as one to the major Council planets.  Starting with either Thesia or Palavan.  The same results are repeated there, and even though losses are sustained, the Reaper threat is ended across the galaxy.  A few Reapers do manage to regain some control and sense of themselves and use the Relays and their speed to run back to dark space.  However less than 10% survive to make it that far.
c. Weeks (days?) later, Shepard is shown waking up.  At his bed side is his love interest.  If no love interest then Admiral Hackett or another major secondary character, Major Kirahee maybe.  Scene starts out as blurry, but the persons smiling face can been seen eventually.  They tell Shepard that he is in a medical bay and he is recovering.  When Shepard asks how long he/she’s been out and what’s happened, the person gives a quick run down.  The Citadel is destroyed, but when it blew the Reapers lost control, and the combined fleets have been wiping them from space and all occupied planets.  There’s still some resistance, and they think a few got away, but most have been destroyed.  At that time the door opens and the rest of Shepards crew comes in.  They explain in better detail what has happened with their respective factions.  This crew includes a Geth, a Krogan (grunt), and a Salarian.
d. One year later.  Beach scene.  (if not in relationship with Garrus), Shepard is laying in a chair, facing the ocean.  Camera pulls back, Garrus is next to him/her.  They have bottles they are drinking between them.  They talk about how this is the life.  No more running around trying to save the galaxy, living life on the bleeding edge.  One makes a comment about how they’ve actually started to miss the “old days”.  Other makes comment that they are sure it won’t last.  There’s always some galaxy ending terror waiting for it’s chance to get Shepards autograph.  Next the love interest comes into frame and sits down, they are obviously pregnant (if possible, or if female Shepard with male human, after love interest sits down, Shepard runs her hand over her stomach).  “No matter how the galaxy goes, there’ll always be a Shepard to help when the time comes” (or something like that).  Camera pans out more, we see the rest of the crew, enjoying the beach and playing, including now, Tali without her suit (thanks to the Geth).

The end, Credits.  And maybe at the end of the credits, a shot of the Reapers heading into dark space, with Harbinger in the lead.

Any member of Bioware/EA may contact me further on this. Thank you for your time.

Hi guys,

I won't spill my guts here over the holes in the plot, or the currently selectable ending options. You certainly can dispose of Shepard in the end as you like - but the implications of all three endings are pretty much the same, including those inferred (Reapers or not, this cycle's civilisations are doomed). Sorry, but you gave it an evil stepmother's treatment. :|

The problem people have with the finale is pretty much summed up here:
http://www.gamefront...fans-are-right/

A cool-headed analysis of what went wrong with this splendid story. I believe that if you want to make amends, that article should be your general set of guidelines. And yes, you've probably read it before, but still you should stick to it. (So go and contact Ross Lincoln and Phil, if you like! ;) )

We're waiting. Please do not disappoint us. Fix the logic of the story and stress out that impact of the decisions the players have made so far since ME1, because now they do not seem to matter at all.
(And as for other things... take Illusive Man. Even Saren can be persuaded, if only to drop his defences a little, if you know what I mean.)

What i can suggest to this end....it's and end without any dubt. The destrucion of the MassRelays scattered the races, now unable to comunicate or meet, the Earth might be saved so might other races but Mass Effect universe it self ended. That sound to me exactly the opposite of what Bioware promised to the fan, "Sheppard story ends but the MassEffect univers will grown and we will have new adventures. How? Like Survivros in the unknow planets? Do we fight with bow and lance in the next game?.

By any means, fantasy is a good thing and you may be able to have an excape to this, Citadel is damaged but operationan and it might be used to deploy new MassRelay...in some way. But what i like to see is how all my work effected the universe, i'd like to see Wrex with a lod of child telling about the grat battle that krogan fought, id like to see Asari rebuilding Tessia, i'd like to se Quarian and Geth live pacefull toghether cause i fought for peace since Me2....that is what i'd like to see in the end, and if you had a realation with a compatible crew a child of sheppard would be a nice surprise.

Like a lot of people here, I already wrote up a giant wall of text, but I was mulling things over this weekend, and I realized I hadn't seen this argument used yet, so here it goes:
The problem with the whole starchild ending is not just everything you've read about (and good grief, I just read a thoughtful dissection of why it breaks the arc of the hero's journey), it's this:
If you cut out everything that happened after that platform lifted you up to the Starchild, you could *still have a better ending*. I believe this is a unique artifact of the fact that the whole 'starchild' ending sequence manages to introduce new, unresolved tensions while also failing to resolve virtually everything else that happened the main story in a satisfactory way.

Obviously, I think you could make a grander and more wonderful ending by introducing the stuff that should have been there (Harbinger, a better endgame for TIM, etc.), here's my stab of doing this subject to only two constraints:

(i) Cut the Starchild bit out
(ii) Only add in-game cutscenes after Anderson dies -- no more interactivity.

==

We start with Shepard dragging herself up to the console, as Hackett radios in asking her why the catalyst hasn't fired. Shepard's bloody hand reaches for the controls...
Faded to white.
It's some unspecified time in the future. We're on the green hills of earth. Here there is a monument, with names on it -- evocative of the Normandy's memorial plaque.

- Your LI (or Garrus) is standing at the memorial, worn a little by time (if it's Liara, she's in the middle stage of the asari life now). They approach the monument slowly, perhaps limping. They reach up to touch the monument, and we get to see them tracing the names on it.
Each name is one of our party members. As they touch a name, we get a flash of what happened to that character. First, a cut to the final climactic battle, and how the character lived (or died) there. We see Grunt on Kakliosaur back, rampaging through husks. We see Liara following you up to the citadel, holding back Cerberus troops from your back as you activate the Crucible. We see Salarian STG troops taking head shots at grunts. We see Hackett ordering his dreadnought to close with Harbinger in the skies over earth ("Ramming speed"!). Rachni ships bursting out of FTL to tear into Reaper destroyers.

Basically, all that epic space opera porn we've been waiting for, we get.

The decisions we've made, and our asset readiness, determines who lives, and who dies.

Then, for the ones who lived, we get flash forwards. Tali in her house on Rannoch. Grunt dying a hero to save some beautiful asari. Vega becoming a Spectre. The Mordin Solus school for Krogans on Tuchanaka. Etc. etc. etc.
Then, there's the reveal. Depending on all these same factors, Shepard may or may not be dead (she's dead most of the time). If she's dead, you just see Garrus|LI touching it with a smile, and remembering all the good times they had together. Then they walk slowly away, down the slope, to a waiting group of people -- a memorial service for the anniversary of the Reaper war.
If Shepard lives, they might be waiting for you. Some endings, Shepard is in some sort of wheel chair -- Commander Pike style, never fully recovered from her wounds. She's old, but still has presence -- even in a wheelchair, even with a cane.
Garrus|LI asks her why she didn't want to come up with him. Shepard just says, "I don't need to. I've seen their faces in my dreams ever since."
And that's it -- a soft close as they walk down the hill to the waiting crowd. ("They were staunch to the end against odds uncounting.. they fell with their faces to the foe.. they shall not grow old the way that we are left grow old. Age shall not weary them. Nor the years of the condemn..At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.." -- that sort of vibe going on).
*
I don't regard this ending as magical, but it hits all the right emotional notes -- the stuff the players have been waiting for, and it ends with a nice bit of drama, while showing players the consequences of their action.
I don't even claim this ending is particularly special -- but you could come up with a double dozen more as good or better, and it still beats the ending we were given.

I think people should stop asking about new ending in form of a free DLC. You know, i see the reasons for this (i payed for this game myself), but the majority (me included) want an ending that cannot be done with just a few hours of work. There need to be a lot of CGI done, new voice-acting recorderd and so on. So if we demand something, we have to offer something. Companies want to make money.
So if a new ending is worth the money, i am totally ready to pay for it.

Add extended ending for the "destroy choice".

1) Shepard is alive. (after cerberus did to him, he is alive, he regenerate or something)
2) The Child consider Shepard too special for him to die. Something must happen there.
3) The Normandy crash into a mysterious Planet, now Shepard must rescue them whit out the use of Mass Relay witch are destroy.
4) Focus Shepard Alive and rescue the Normandy Members, must be a good story.
5) The people that talks about Shepard Story at the very end credits are related to Shepard, Lawson, Tali or someone close to him.

It would be a great DLC.

After all, like the end says "there is time for one more story about commander shepard".

Hello.
I would like to first and foremost express my disapoinment with the ending.
I have put into this franchise well over 200 plus hours on multiple playthroughs to see different resolutions.
First off all I didn't go thought "catharsis " as the ending is unsatisfactory .
mass effect is space opera of light and hope and you have completely misjudged the tone and mood of conclusion.
I have struggled through very dark and bleak 3 rd part only to be rewarded with an underwhelming ending which does not fit this game. Where is the happy ending? ????
I want to be able to see Shepard to pull though this and retire with his Love Interest see kids etc. I want tosee my companions to pull though as well and see them !!. I Alsop want to see cooperation with races across the galaxy rebuilding etc working together as thus will take generations to rebuild the devastation after reapers! !!
What me the player has achieved is already your "synthesis" though my actions across all games not through your "arty" for the sake of art ending.
if I wanted bleak and depression ending I can just put the tv on and news nowadays and one can get depress.
I mentioned your misjudged mood of ending.
I wanted to congratulate you on the franchise as a whole and up to tu Adt last 10 minutes of 3rd game this was an unequalled experience. You have delivered satisfying conclusion to ME1 and ME2 so I don't get why that here.

As I mentioned before on Full Paragon let us save the galaxy as is with Shepard alive with LI and she is preagnant. This will add extra dimension and layer of maturity. Show resolution and consequmnces of palyers decisions through all 3 games please. And my companions the ones with me show that they survived and what they are doing.
Shepard Should want to retire but is made in charge of coordinating rebuilddimg effort across the galaxy a nd peace envoy.
This gives satisfaction and a feeling of completness and achieving success through adversity.
As to star child. Please make it a projection of Harbringer s attack on your mind and way of influencing him through projection of the child he failed to save at the beginning.
Make him talk with Shepard and say that hesnd his kind are a creation of an advanced rsce race eons ago a race which which left them to guard that part of the galaxy untill a cycle comes which understands the value of life organic and synthethic. And they have achieved the level of civilisation beyond our understing but they have been watching Shepard And all the races in fight against reapers and they decided too switch them off and destroy them as reapers are no longer neccessary . Make this race appear as light or something with voice and show a glimpse ofct heir capital ship which is beyond our understing and thenmake them say that they no longer need ships to travel the cosmos and  are only showing  us this so we understand better on our primitive level.
make them say that they want to welcome us on their level one day and now we are in the right track as races to say in million years or so to get there. They will be waiting for us.
Thuey will leave us the primitive mass relay tech so we can work together.
PLEASE. MASS RELAYS HAVE TO STAY.
what was the point of unifying the galaxy In the first place! ! destroying them negetates all players decesions though The games and makes the whole experience sour and unfullfilling for a player.
PLEASE make it all count.
So when a player finishes game, feel happy and knows his character is living good life somewhere.

WHAT isxwrong with you guys and these morbid endings! !!?
Look around you people. No jobs econmomic crisis, wars etc. Its morbid and bleak as it is out there.do we really need that? And then hide underneath artistic integrity?
If you want bad ending by no means do it for RENEGADE behaviour. But PARAGON GiVE US light.

THANK YOU
best regards
sebastian

I think people should stop asking about new ending in form of a free DLC. You know, i see the reasons for this (i payed for this game myself), but the majority (me included) want an ending that cannot be done with just a few hours of work. There need to be a lot of CGI done, new voice-acting recorderd and so on. So if we demand something, we have to offer something. Companies want to make money.
So if a new ending is worth the money, i am totally ready to pay for it.

I understand, i actually hoping for a DLC that extend the end of a choice we made. (not change it)

I wish support in this.

1) Shepard is Alive. (after cerberus did to him, regeneration maybe)
2) The Child consider Shepard too special to let him die. (something must happen there in order to survive)
3) The normandy crash into a mysterious planet. Whit out the Mass Relay and a destroy Normandy this would be the perfect job for Shepard to save his friends.
4) Focus Shepard to rescue the Normandy.
5) The ends credits cutscene must be people related to shepard of people in his crew: Ashley, Liara, Tali, someone related that told that and pass the stories from generations.
6) Give to a kid in the future where shepard is death, a hologram of Commander Shepard that talks and give him inspiration.

:)

I think I need to clarify myself. For the past few weeks, I've been collecting feedback. I have excel sheets, word documents, quotes, graphs, you name it.

In order for a collaboration between the devs and the fans to work, I need you guys to CONTINUE being constructive, and organizing your thoughts. I know where to look, but I need you to help me by contributing to the dialogue.

Saying "this blows" helps no one. Saying, "I enjoyed X but I found Z _____ because of A,B,C" is what I'm looking for. Channel your frustration into something positive (such as the RetakeME3 movement - constructive, organized thoughts).

Chris and I are both collecting your feedback. We're listening. Make yourself heard.
Please use this thread to post your constructive feedback, which may include spoilers. Spam images will not be allowed, per the forum rules.

Here is a round-up of my constructive criticism of the ending of ME3 (pretty much everything until that, I adored - probably the best game I've every played).  To give a little context: I don't normally post on these boards, but the ending has made me feel the need to do so; I am a long-time fan of Bioware games and have played a fair few of them; I have studied storytelling/writing for a long time and have two degrees in the subject; everyone I have spoken to on the subject has pretty much the same feelings as me about this topic, so I think it's a safe bet that for every one person who comments on here about the ending, you have two or three others (or more) who feel the same, but don't post on the forums - I think we're far from the minority.

Lack of
sense/continuity:

·        how in the galaxy did my two crewmates make it back to the Normandy to appear in that final crash landing scene?

·        And why was the Normandy no longer in the assault upon the reapers and instead fleeing the scene?  If they turned tail and ran, I want to know why.  If my two squadmates survived and were picked up by Joker, I want to know why and how.  (As I pointed out in a different post – if we were talking about the Star Trek universe with its
transporters, then yes, this would make sense by their rules, but it breaks the rules that ME has set up in all three games, both in terms of technology and character.  Like many others, I don’t buy Joker fleeing without a darn good reason.) It simply doesn’t make sense.

·        Neither does the fact that Anderson claimed to follow Shep into the beam, and yet he conveniently ends up being dumped in another part of the Citadel, and somehow manages to get ahead of Shep to the
control panel (in a room with only one apparent entrance) without being seen.  How does that work?

·        I had a high enough EMS to see Shepard’s charred body breathing in the rubble of London.  But if Shepard was in an explosion on the Citadel, why is her body in a pile of concrete and very Earthly debris and not floating around in space, or at least lying in the mangled metal remains of the Citadel?  Again, it doesn’t make sense.

·        An issues with the Child's reasoning that "created will always turn on creators" is that in the only example we
have of this in the series (geth vs quarians), we see that the quarians were actually the ones who turned on their creations.  And one of the final missions in ME3 takes great pains to reveal this to Shepard.  So nevermind that Shepard just made peace between the two, s/he also proved that the creator started it all.

Storytelling and the Rules Thereof:

·        Shepard’s behaviour goes against the characterisation (whatever choices you’ve made) throughout all three
games.  Shepard doesn’t give up, doesn’t blindly accept whatever some random stranger (in this case, the God/Ghost-Child) tells her/him, especially when what Shepard’s being told is pretty ‘out there’ and that s/he’s got some pretty crummy options.  Shepard would question who/what the Child is, its motives and whether
those really are the only options, because at the moment, s/he only has the Child’s word for all this information.
Throughout ME3, Shepard just became more badass (I loved this, some of the interrupts were just amazing and so many of the cut scenes just made me love Shepard more), until the end, where (as someone else has pointed out in another thread) Shepard becomes really passive – the Reapers give her/him a route to the Citadel, the Child gives her/him the possibilities (which it seems could be chosen by anyone, Shepard doesn’t feel special at that moment) and it’s just for Shepard to choose which colour pill s/he wants to swallow.  It doesn’t feel like Shepard makes things happen.  A passive protagonist is a sure way to a dissatisfying ending to a story.

·     Deus ex machina.  Again, others have mentioned this and there's no better way to make people feel like the rest of the story just didn't matter if some god-being comes along and sorts things out with its supreme power.  The Child has three possible solutions, it just seems to offer the choice of them to Shepard on a whim.

In short, the writing after Shep is hit by Harbinger reads like a rushed first draft – the bit before you edit your work and realise you missed out a key point or that it’s impossible for that character to be in this place.

Closure:

·        I didn’t play this trilogy of games and fall in love with the galaxy.  I played and fell in love with and came to care about the characters.  As it is, the ending only really tells me a bit about what happens to the galaxy – mass relays are out of the picture and half the inhabitants are stranded in the Sol system.  That sucks.  But what sucks more is that I don’t know who survived, what did they do when they heard Shepard was dead (or when they found her/his broken body, barely still alive)?  Fine, if Bioware wants to release DLC to look at this further, that’s OK, I don’t need know every moment until that character dies, but at least give me the gist of what happened to all these characters they worked so hard to make me care for (like in DA, for example).

·        Yes, fine, I understand about open endings, but if this is meant to be the ending to end all endings, which is kind of what it’s been set up as, then we need a bit more closure than that.  Whenever we enjoy a story and follow it through to the end, however bitter that ending may be, we need some sense of reward, and that just wasn’t there with ME3.  Even if it was a funeral for Shepard (missing, presumed dead), just that epilogue scene showing goodbyes so we get some closure and can find out who survived the war and who didn’t, what the destruction of the mass relays means in real terms to the people of the galaxy.

·        What happened to everyone on the Citadel?!

The Final Battle:

·        Please can that actually reflect the decisions I made and the allies I worked so hard to make?

·        It should be an epic cinematic of awesomeness to reflect the fact that it’s the final big battle of the brilliant final game of an amazing series.

The first post of this thread describes pretty well the kind of thing I expected to see: http://social.biowar.../index/10522067
Lugaidster

Cinematic battle showing my allies. This is something I
think everyone wants (but it's still only my opinion). But why didn't we see
the elcor hammering down the reapers while the blood packs covering them. The
other mercs providing an assault and the STG infiltrating the reaper defenses
while HOLDING THE LINE!. Why no cinematics of our former squad members
like Jack providing support with her students, Samara blowing 15 reaper
soldiers at once with her biotics, grunt kicking ass with wrex by his side, Miranda
supporting zaeed and killing banshees. I mean, that's the A-team right there.
We're talking about the meanest motherlovers in the whole galaxy! It's a missed
opportunity!
Consistency of Theme/Consistency with the Trilogy:

·        One of my absolute favourite things about ME3 was the way my decisions throughout the three games affected the way ongoing subplots were concluded and I loved how well-written those conclusions were, eg the genophage and the geth vs quarians.  That was what I expected and wanted to see continue into the final ending of the game.  Instead someone who made the exact opposite decisions to mine throughout the entire trilogy could get the exact same ending as mine.

·        A lot has already been said about the themes of the trilogy and how this final decision goes against them, so I’ll try to be brief.  The themes of ME have always been unity/cooperation against insurmountable odds, friendship, sacrifice, that there is always another way not always an ‘either or’ (depending on the decisions your Shepard made), the difference one individual can make for the better, maintaining free will/self-determination (anti-indoctrination/Illusive Man’s control of his troops), hope, that if you work hard enough and stand
united you stand a chance of overcoming adversity (even if it’s with some sacrifice) …  Well the ending only seemed to uphold one of those themes (sacrifice), whereas friendship has gone out of the window as no one seems to care what you’ve done (even your LI is grinning like a loon when s/he gets out of the Normandy after the crash landing, whatever colour you chose).  There is no self-determination as the Child has told you your options and the results aren’t much different.  There is no unity/cooperation as you’re separated from everyone and don’t even get to see what the alliances you’ve forged actually achieve (see comments about the cinematic ending for an idea of how that could be done).  Shepard doesn’t even try for another way out.  There is little hope offered and the adversity left is almost as bad as if the reapers had won, leaving me wondering if it would have been better to let the reapers win – this is definitely not how I should be feeling after this trilogy.

The Final Choice:

·        That final decision didn’t really seem that … well, important, even though the fate of the entire galaxy was at stake: I tried out all three choices and was hugely disappointed by the lack of visible difference between them.  And the choices were so abstract in terms of explanation, that they really didn’t involve emotions, unlike all those gut-wrenching decisions I’d made previously.

·        Yes, there are 16 endings, but they’re really not all that different.  We were told (and therefore expected) that we would have several wildly divergent endings for this final instalment.  As it is, the endings of ME2 are more wildly divergent than those for ME3!  That was hugely disappointing considering all the decisions and possible permutations that led to that point.

I'm not really saying anything new here, but I'd like Bioware to understand that there are a hell of a lot of people who feel this way about the ending of ME3 and why they feel so disappointed, because I sincerely hope that all this feedback that's coming through will help the writers (whose work I've loved for so long) come up with a way to fix all these issues.

Please, take your time and give it the hard work it deserves, because we all know you're better than the current ending and we really won't mind waiting for something truly spectacular.  :)

Thanks for taking the time to read all our suggestions and feedback - it means a lot to me, as a fan.

Well, there are already so many excellent solutions laid out in the various threads, it's not even a question of getting further info. One could start an internal contest of the Top Ten(or more) best ways to really complete the Mass Effect Adventure. Of course one has to combine the ideas most similar to each other, and that means some edits. And then BioWare can evenhandedly pick and choose.

Nah but seriously I lOved the game just 3 things I wanted really

1 harbinger face off
2 earth battle more epic. Various videos of clans/ troops fighting on ground etc like jack, squashes members - could be used to explain Normandy running away lol
3 use plot holes for future dlc! Omega brawl as long as LOTSB

I loved the Ending just didn't like the Normandy crashing & that's it lol erm ok?

I wanna fight the yahg too!!!!
