1. Explaining the starchild more. Is he in shepards mind? If not, why does he take the form of a dead child from earth that only shepard was able to see? HMM?
2. Giving clarity to our LI's. People want little blue babies, homes on rannoch etc!!
3. One of the driving forces in ME3 was not having an A,B,C ending. Yet at the very ending, we are presented with 3 options. Sure, there are variations depending on your war assets, but you have to admit, they are still essentially the same ending.
4. Perfect ending. Look, I had 7000+ war assets, been playing since ME1 and made all the right choices and did everything right, and yet, someone who joined at ME3 and made terrible options can still get the same ending as me, if they play the multiplayer. What? Weren't we promised amazing endings for long time players? :/

Heck, if you just ended it with shepard and anderson sitting on the cruciable, that would be awesome.
It is a great game, 99% of it is really great. Just those last 10 minutes - it kills it for me. I can't go back to the other games now either, which is sad.

Agreed its an awesome game but indeed like you i cant replay ME 1 , 2 or 3 because no matter what choices i make i will still get the same 3 endings like everyone else instead of the 16 promised endings.

1. War Assets
I was really hoping to actually see this army I was building in action, not just some numeric value that gives me prettier colors at the end of the road.
2. An actual boss fight.
I've heard some places that a true boss encounter was scrapped because it feels"too videogamey". But to me that's all part of wrapping up a conflict in this medium. A boss fight, a good one at that, challenges the player using all the skills and experience they have acquired while playing the game and also allows for a personal resolution to the conflict of the story.
3. More endings
One of the draws for me to the Mass Effect universe is that Shepard's story is how I want it to be. Renegade, Paragon, Spacer, Ruthless, the list of personal choices encourages a new story every time I play. So why can't I have more choices at the end? Maybe I want Shepard to retire and start a family, maybe I want Shepard to control the Reapers and usher in a new age of human dominance, or maybe I just want Shepard and Garrus to have a final charge into a wall of Reaper troops as the allied fleets burn down around them? The current endings imply that there isn't much narrative planned for the future, so why not have those options?
Anywho, thank you Bioware for a great game. Please don't let the hate burn you guys out on your fans, we flame because we love.

There could be an ending where you don't have enough war assets and you can't get past the final push to the beam. Show the reapers come in and destroy the crucible and they win.

I remember in the original Mass Effect you could lay down a singularity that would suck everything, including the environment, into it.
In this game it just seems so weak and useless, even at full rank. I feel like singularity needs to be made much more powerful. It looks really cool when it swells to the size of a beach ball, but it doesn't really do anything. If it's gonna get that big, it's radius should be huge, and it should have a really wide radius and high damage percentage when it detonates. Also, I think it should do much more damage to shields, barriers and armor. I mean, come on, it's a freaking miniature black hole for crying out loud!
Thank you for listening to feedback, Bioware.

If there was only 1 ending, that was long and detailed (happy or sad, although I prefer sublime (i.e. bittersweet) endings) that unfolded with some player choice as in ME1 and ME2 (ME1 Save/destroy council, ME2 pick squad mates for tasks, etc...) this would be best and would offer the most continuity for a future ME4 story Arc as it would establish a solid anchor point for the new series. As it stands with the three endings, a ME4 set in the future will have to establish one as canon and the others as what-ifs.
We need either A) more varied endings or
If the 3 ending options are to be retained, the how and why of Control, Destruction & Synthesis should be hinted at, explained, and, investigated before the finale from trusted sources - adding more text to the star child's monologue will not establish his authority to the player.
As a narrator the star child could work as a psychological/mental projection, but as a super AI he is immediately suspect as a Reaper agent and a liar. He is arguably the weakest part of all three endings and should be removed/replaced - Harbinger or even EDI would be a better narrator. Harbinger of course would have to be taunted/persuaded to reveal Sheperds options. The star child is a surprise villain, a seemingly random monster that appears after the title monster you have been battling throughout the game has been vanquished.
The core point the endings SEEM to want to get across is that breaking the cycle means destroying the infrastructure that galactic civilization relies upon. As long as the Mass Relays remain the bones, and the Citadel the heart, of civilization - the Reapers own you. These things are not just built by the Reapers - for all intents and purposes they are Reapers. Even if you could destroy the Reapers and keep these artifacts it would be akin to livestock rising against their butchers but continuing to live in the slaughterhouse. More butchers will come and take up where the last set left off.
*dénouement: Comprises events between the falling action and the actual ending scene of the drama or narrative and thus serves as the conclusion of the story. Conflicts are resolved, creating normality for the characters and a sense of catharsis, or release of tension and anxiety, for the reader.

Mass Effect 3 comes along and the 'oh damn' moment is a ghost child explaining something that makes absolutely no sense at all. ... Maybe there is another race out there in another galaxy, that wants to keep it`s dominance over the other galaxies?
One more thing, if the Bioware staff have not read this, read it now!
http://social.biowar...4281/1#11085770
I thought there were two Oh damn moments: One was when we learned that there was a prothean beacon on Thessia that was responsible for Asari supremacy, but that the leaders of the Asari race had not informed Shepard about until the Repears "forced their hand". I never wanted to **** slap anyone as much as I wanted to **** slap that Asari diplomat. The other was when we find out from the beacon on Thessia that the Protheans had not built the crucible, but that it was a progressively improved device, cycle after cycle.
What I realized through the course of the game but confirmed at the end was that the Reapers were exactly like the Keepers. They were a device with a specific purpose in a design that had been created and in existence for eons. The Reapers aren't sentient any more than the Keepes are - they are instinctual. They are programmed with a task that they perform flawlessly, having done it over and over again for at least 20 million years - at least 400 cycles. The catalyst is a remnat that knows only one truth, and the only reason it acknowledged a new truth was that the crucible changed it - by creating alternatives that had not existed before, from the mind of the representative of the dominant species of the cycle that managed, for the first time, to bring the citadel and the crucible together. The catalyst is probably the only surviving vestige of a once thriving, ancient race, those who actually built the mass relays.
I thought it was brilliant.
OK, I agree totally with your points. I was pretty PO with the Asari
too!
What I was trying to convey about the an 'oh damn' moment maybe
didn`t come across the way I planned. It`s sometimes hard to get
your views across without sounding like a guy just whining on the
forums. :-) It`s also maybe because I`ve been looking forward to the
finale for so long, perhaps you are hoping for a more grander
ending. A bigger 'oh damn' moment would have been finding out that
the Reapers are actually on our side in some sick way. They are
preparing our evolution to perfection for a greater threat. That
would have made more sense than the circular logic of using
synthetic/organic hybrids to destroy organics to save them from
creating synthetics that would destroy them later. Just a weird
choice.
Don`t get me wrong, I didn`t hate the ending. I thought it was one
of the most powerful things I have ever seen. I think that was
Bioware`s purpose, to get people to shed a few tears. I was hoping
to see an ending that just made more sense. I also agree that the
Reapers were purely instinctual, but absolutely no logical reason
was given as to why the cycle had to continue. If there is a higher
being that programmed them, their logic is not very sound. There has
to be a higher purpose to their motivations than just that. If there
solution to stopping war and genocide is to use war and genocide,
well then, that`s just daft. Unless the Reapers and the Catalyst
have both in essence become rogue AI and don`t comprehend what they
are doing is morally wrong or right?
Perhaps it`s not meant to make any sense because perhaps we are not
meant to completely trust the Catalyst. I didn`t really trust a word
of what he was saying at the end. It all seemed like BS to me.
Perhaps there is a higher purpose to what they do, but maybe we will
only find out later?
Either way, I loved all 3 games and all the talking about the ending
is keeping me excited to see what the future holds with their DLC`s
!!!

1) Cut starchild out of the ending completely... just kill it off before it becomes JarJar binks.
2) Shepard and Anderson die out on the citadel, overlooking earth as the cruciable kicks off.
3) Use the best destroy ending, but this time, don't blow the citadel up, or the relays - make the explosion yellow and have it kick the reapers ass.
4) Cut Joker crash landing, this never happened. Okay?
5) Add all the wonderful cutscenes you like, the less important bits can be text on black screen for all I care, provided it's made canon, fans won't care as long as they know what happens with their choices, LI and characters.
Simple, no need to pay me - this is public domain for you to use
<3 I know you will make the right decision bioware, you are good people and we all love you. <3

that caused some major uproar; HaHaHa we are all very amused.
BioWare (yes, I’m addressing this to you), it’s curious that
your team decided to destroy the defining characteristic (the mass relays) the
thing that literally connects the ‘mass effect universe’ together… Unless of
course your plans are to put the Mass Effect Universe to rest indefinitely; is
it? If so, that’s too bad. Mass Effect
is still a gold mine. You’ve created
this fabulous universe (all the ground work is done), with so much potential
for future stories/adventures/games/movies/DOLLAR SIGNS. Consider how much
money the Star Wars Franchise has made, and you know that George Lucas
is just laughing all the way to the bank. Take other factors into account, like
all the people who are online talking about (insert rolling eyes) the smallest
details about this game (ugh I guess myself included …damn). This is a
franchise that’s attracting every kind of nerd out there. The good news is: it’s
not too late to undue some of the critical damage done at the end of this game.
Currently, the endings you have in place make it very difficult to, um, CONTINUE THE FRANCHISE. [/b]The longer you
wait on this, the more difficult it’ll be to bounce back. People will move on,
and will remember that they were only disappointed in the end (pop psychology
101), squashing any future piqued interest you may want to generate (lets face
it the most anticipated game of the year ME3 has a fan rating of 5/10). The
really frustrating thing is that the BioWare team deserves so much more than
that. Everybody knows how hard people worked on this, most of your hardcore
fans actually APOLOGIZE [/b]before
admitting they were disappointed.
So without further to do, here is my solution to what I
believe is Mass Effects biggest problem (which is the apparent discontinuation
of the mass effect franchise… in case I wasn’t clear). Create a forth ending
(yeah yeah yeah big surprise, just hear me out, I’m almost done). Maybe this
ending can only be unlocked if the player has a readiness rating of 6500 or
more. Subsequently maybe this ending unfolds like this:
Commander Shepard lives, the Normandy doesn’t crash,
Anderson lives (maybe you put in a cut scene with Miss Sanders), the reapers are
brutally destroyed (and only the reapers because the Geth have way too much future
story & retail value), and above all else the Mass Relays and Citadel ARE
NOT destroyed (these two things, again are a critical aspect of the mass effect
universe which have & will continue to set you greatly apart from Star Wars
and Star Trek).
All the survivors cheer “woohoo we did it” (but not in those
words). Then there’s a scene with the biggest & craziest galactic after
party EVER- I mean the party alone has to be… FREAKING HISTORIC (and Shepard
gets to collect on all those drinks people promised him/her throughout the
game). Maybe you add a few scenes with people settling down, going home,
rebuilding, Shepard receiving medals and honors and gold statues in his/her name,
BUT SOMETHING to indicate that more or less people getting back to their lives.
NOW BIOWARE, HERE’S THE REALLY IMPORTANT PART: when all is
said and done, Commander Shepard gets back on the Normandy with his/her crew,
and then proceeds to kick ass and have lots of sex across the galaxy… until the
end of his/her days.
The Mass Effect Universe lives on, and there’s your preamble
to the next game, or at least some post-almost-apocalypse DLC for Mass Effect
3.
PS you have my e-mail if need some ideas for that
Good luck

First I want an answer as to why you failed to deliver your original promises.
Hey! Here is an idea, deliver on what you promised about your product and I will be content. Did you make so many promises you couldn't deliver on and you forget them all (Why is it that I would be fired in my job if I did not deliver on my promises to my clients but for you guys its cool?) then please see this thread:http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10056886
It outlines what was promised.
We (the gamers) pay you to entertain us. Thats your job in a nutshell.
You want feedback? Do your damn job and deliver what you promise.

1) Galactic Readiness. Multiplayer/3rd part applications should not affect my abiity to access the single-player game endings, nor should it affect how much of Shep's single-player game crew/anti-Reaper forces survives. There should be a way to increase GR in the single-player game. Add 5-7% per successfully completed N7 mission, maybe (suggested by someone on a different GR thread)? That way SP-only completionists don't get screwed, and people who don't want to fiddle around everywhere in the galaxy can use MP/iOS as 'another way to get there' as per the press/commentary pre-release.
2) Fix the dropped dialogue issues. I want to hear everything that Ken and Gabby have to say, even though Ashley never made it off of Virmire. I want to hear Kaidan tell my MShep that he's looking for someone handsome, tall and confident, even though I didn't start a new game (ME1 MSheps imported through ME2 into ME3 somehow do not get this dialogue - it's just missing; sole ME2 imports and new ME3 characters can hear it). This isn't the only missing or truncated content. I'd like to hear it all.

Mass Effect has never been about some mysterious force working to "balance" the existence of synthetic forms and their organic creators. Are we still in the same universe here?
Reapers and dark space. Humanity and the other races. Peaceful cooperation between different cultures in the face of a common foe. That's what Mass Effect has always been about. The Reapers are machines; but machines not built by any of the current races. Shepard is the leader that spearheads the endeavor to rid the galaxy of the perpetual threat the Reapers represent. Shepard is NOT someone that gets told what to do at the end by an all-new Wizard-of-Oz-esque character.
You can flaunt the "artistic license" card all you want, but you're still desecrating your own creation. It would be the same as Michelangelo painting graffiti on his Sistine Chapel. He would be within his artistic "freedom" to do as he pleases, but it wouldn’t change the fact that he's destroying his own masterpiece.
So stop making fool of yourselves, Bioware. And please, don't take your fan base for granted, and never EVER underestimate the intelligence of players. Thank you.

In the encounter with the Illusive Man, there are so many different ways that can play out.
The entire game has a theme of sacrifice, and Bioware told us this would be the end of Shepard's story. I think it's very fitting that Shepard dies in two of the endings to save the galaxy. So many of the crew from ME2 die during the game to achieve their goals, that by the end of the game Shepard's death is practically expected.
The conversations with the crew before the final fight are extremely well-done. I don't see why we need more after the current ending.
While I'm very happy with the game as it is, I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out with the Extended Cut, while hoping it doesn't cheapen the existing ending.

I appreciate all of the work you have put into the series. As a devoted fan since the release of the first game, I can sincerely say that this has been the BEST game series I have enjoyed playing. From the start to the end, this series has been extremely well-written, entertaining and engaging.
The ending, obviously, is what everyone is complaining about. I think the vast majority of the publicity is heavily exaggerated. The ending was not absolute garbage. It just isn't up to the standard of the rest of the series.
If you can introduce the indoctrination theory, my respect for Bioware would increase even more. However, knowing that the indoc theory may not be the path you guys are taking, these are my suggestions:
1) More cinematics and events related to what our Shepards have actually done. This includes more information on all of our squadmates and crew members(and possibly former squadmates from ME2) and any other significant characters (e.g. The Council). This also includes improving the space battle (we want to know about the assets we collected throughout the game) to give a more personal experience. I remember the ME1 space battle to be one of the most iconic moments in the series.
2) Clarification of the Catalyst
The Catalyst isn't necessarily a terrible concept, but he/it needs to be clarified more. We need to know why/how the catalyst has obtained the form of the young child, and more about its origins. Keeping it a mystery is fine (similar to how the Reapers were introduced in ME1, where we knew what they were here for and that they were the synthesis of organic and synthetic, but not much else).
3) Normandy Escape Scene
This needs to be fixed up for the ending to make some sense. We need to know why the Normandy is escaping/leaving the battle. Also, please remove our squadmates from this scene since that makes absolutely no sense at all. Removal of this scene would be the coolest option
Anyway, that's just my two cents.
Thanks, I hope the Extended Cut DLC helps resolve all the problems with the ending.

What i want? I want the extended cut to be different for everyone depending on what choices they made. We were promised very differing endings, here's where you can actually deliver.
Likes:
The Choices: I like how the choices we made in ME1 and ME2 actually mattered. If someone died they weren't around in ME3. Thought it was reasonable that Wrex would be replaced by Wreav if Wrex died. I mean it IS their species and their hope. Of course someone would want to be a hero for their people. Yet... i want to know if after the genophage is cured, would there be a difference between Wrex managing Krogan society and Wreav managing Krogan society?
The characters: I was really attached to the characters, it was like they were alive to me.
Dislikes:
1) The Starchild: where did he come from and what is he doing there?
2) Normandy escape: Why is the Normandy escaping? Why are my squadmates there? they were supposed to be fighting on the ground. There isn't anything they could have done on the Normandy. I can understand EDI being there, maybe she needed to operate the Normandy's weapons systems or something, but what are the rest of them doing? What is Javic doing there? i thought he always wanted to kick a reaper in it's behind?
3) RGB ending: i don't think we need to elaborate on this
4) Not enough closure: The mass relays are destroyed.... DESTROYED!!! Isn't everyone screwed now?

After all the time and effort the player has put into experiencing the game, getting involved with the storylines and learning about the characters, all of this seems to have been ripped away and the player forced into a conclusion that made little sense and contradicted everything we have learned about the Mass Effect Universe.
In my view, the extended-cut DLC must at least do the following...
1. Shepard must be able to have the option of surviving.
2. Reunification with his LI and have the opportunity to do what had been planned between the characters. Allow the player to keep the promises they made to their LI (e.g. Shepard builds home for Tali on Rannoch). After everything Shepard has been through in the past three games, Shepard needs to get something at the end, and not just more pain and death.
3. A chance to see remaining friends and what has become of them, e.g. Meet Garrus for drinks on beach (seeing Garrus in a Hawaiian shirt and shorts would be funny).
4. In general, a more positive outcome. The current ending of ME3 essentially had the player save the galaxy, which was supposed to be a good thing, but when it happened, I felt nothing. The focus was all on the loss of characters, and those who Shepard will never see again. This was just painful. I think that ME3 has gone too far in attempting to create a memorable end, because the amount of pain heaped on the player has become unpalatable and is overshadowing the whole experience of the ME series.
5. The 'Stargazer' part after the credits was interesting, but should be removed as it further damages the game because it confuses the 'time-frames', I.e, while playing the Mass Effect games, you believe that everything that happens is in the present. When the 'Stargazer' scene appears, you realise that everything that has just happened was in the past, and so all of the characters in the game must have died a long time ago. Essentially, this means that everyone is now dead from old age. This further adds to the players depression.
