So, with the ending, here's what I'd like to see:
Prelude - every single option would be set up as, "Oh, the Reapers were just indoctrinating you" with exception to #3 - that one allows that what occurs actually occurs. As you wake up from the laser blast, you go up to the Catalyst with Anderson, Anderson dies (or is saved, depending on how you've played), and then the Illusive Man is taken over by Harbinger and you have to defeat him. When you do, you turn the Catalyst on, which then sends out a giant wave of energy across the galaxy that kills the Reapers (with exception to option 4).
1) A perfect ending should actually be a perfect ending. That is, Shep lives, goes and makes little human, quarian, or blue babies with whomever he's chosen (or Turian babies if you please). Mass Effect relays stay together because in a perfect ending you've actually saved the galaxy. I mean, I figured that's what I've been working for and investing hours of gaming into. Is it cliche? Yup. Does it work? Yeah, it does. The whole point in stories, especially epic ones, is to convey the message of hope (which was the entire point of ME3!); but that message is ripped away in the end. That's why in some of the best epics of all time, there is a conclusive ending that while not 100% happy, it's conclusive and makes the hero's sacrifices look like they were worthy sacrifices. You failed at this, majorly, and I think the massive amount of fan backlash you're getting proves this.
Not to mention that you can throw TONS of DLC at this, continue the story, have a ME4 that isn't focused on Shep but still has a galaxy in place, and so on. From an artistic standpoint, it's predictable (but who cares? If perfect endings where everything works out are good enough for Lewis and Tolkein, then it's good enough for Mass Effect), but it really ties everything together. From a fan standpoint, it gives us a sense of satisfaction after investing all these hours into three games. From a marketing standpoint, you get to add tons of DLC to it that your fans will willingly buy without
thinking twice about it.
2) A less-than-perfect ending where Shep sacrifices himself, but the ME relays stay together so millions aren't stranded (which would effectively lead to mass extinction anyway - might as well have let the Reapers win). In this one, we're given cut-scenes showing what has happened to the galaxy, our team mates, maybe even have a memorial service where your LI speaks about all that you accomplished for the galaxy. In this, we get the satisfaction of ending Shepard's story while at the same time seeing a conclusion for the series. It still allows us to open up into future ventures as it doesn't close off the galaxy.
3) The endings you currently have - this is for players who just rushed through to the ending, didn't invest time in doing quests, and so on. And let's add that a few decisions from ME2 will put you in this category no matter what, meaning our decisions actually matter. Notice where I rank this - these endings are fine...for people who aren't investing time into the game and just don't care.
4) The reapers win - why not allow an ending where the reapers win? Why not allow someone to lose the game? From eternity's past, "losing" the game simply meant you had to start from your previous save point? If you want to be revolutionary, make it to where we can actually lose the game, where we fail in our objectives, and the Reaper's win. Allow that Shepard ended up indoctrinated and helps the Reapers, or simply didn't do enough to stop them.
Those 4 options still allow for a bittersweet ending (even #1, as if your Shepard lives you could have him holding a memorial service for those who have died, remembering them) and #4 is revolutionary in that it allows the player to lose the game.
That's what I'd like to see.

That's what I ALWAYS thought Bioware was like! Listening to their fans and react! (great btw)<3
I don't know why but till I played the demo I thought there was something wrong...
The atmosphere was COMPLETELY different from the first two games...
Yeah, yeah, it's about a massive galactic war but still strange.
The style changed completely. My Shep looked... well... REALLY different. That was a little sad...
But I already addaped to that and now it's ok.
I haven't completed ME3 yet... But I saw so much articles about it that I just had to read them...
I don't know everything but the main facts are clear!
1. You can't let a importent character die! I don't mean Shep here. She hasn't died yet so maybe I edit this later...
After long depressive crying...
I mean Thane, Mordin and Legion! In ME2 you built up really close friendships with them, more than with Ash or Kaidan in ME (I wasn't sad about them...)
But Thane as a love interest... Outsch... Mordin as the savior of the Krogans and Legion just as a totally awesome character!
I thought after the 'Cure Thane' project, Mordin would save him. I don't know why but I was sure he would.
Letting a love interest die and force the player to choose an other one (at least Kaidans: 'Oh let us be together again!!!' Was really strange... That what I felt like... Forced.)
Miranda seems to die too... Why are we coming back to the first parts crew???
And why are only these persons allowed to have a nice relationship with their LI in ME3???
Sorry for the subjectively view on this topic. I was shocked about the deaths of such important characters...
I was looking forward to save the galaxy with Shep and Thane! They had the only really deep and nice relationship in ME2.
(In addition: This is more a personal thing, especially with Thane but trough friends of the main character are importent. Seeing them dieing is kind of demotivating.)
2. The dialog was going on without any option for answering...
It was like watching a movie... In ME2 you had much more options to answer. Nearly everytime!
It took the flow of the conversation... I hadn't the same feeling like that when I played the first two parts.
3. The style... This is just a small point!!!
I really liked the more cartoony style in the first parts...
And the change was really heavy... It was more positive and I totally understand it but still...
Thank you for reading and your time!!!
Maybe I have so more constructive points later...

Since I believe the issues I have with the endings to be covered in great detail already, here are some opportunities in the main game.
Tone of relationships:
I enjoyed the squad banter, and conversations in general. However, much of it was autodialogued. I would have liked Shepard to set the tone of the conversation if not the actual content. The sum total of his tone with characters creating the type of relationship he had with them: for example informal/playful, authoritative, or dismissive. In turn your prior treatment of the character would affect how they would respond to you in future conversations. As it is the nature of Shepard’s relationship with all character is assumed to be a certain way.
War Assets and Readiness:
I think there are a lot of missed opportunities for these gameplay mechanics. As many have said before the war assets are readiness should be represented in the final battle. The war assets should represent the kind of things we see in the final battle, and the readiness level should determine the degree/number and outcome.
Before the endgame I think elaborating on these mechanics would add greatly to the gameplay. Here are a few examples:
1. Readiness levels in a certain sector level determine the number of scans you can complete before the reapers are alerted. The higher the readiness level the more scans you can complete(Really don’t enjoy this ‘exploration’ mode as is, and this would help reduce the annoyance somewhat)
2. Bring the fleet deployment minigame from the iOS datapad app into the full game, but in a more developed way (more upgrades, more deployment locations). This would be a great add for players that don’t have a compatible mobile device that want to improve readiness levels and don’t like multiplayer. I’d also like to have a
chance of losing war assets/ readiness levels if you lose. As with multiplayer it would be completely optional.
3. Side missions that unlock at certain readiness levels.
4. Readiness levels set some of the tone aboard the Normandy and citadel. Conversations and news reports about small victories and survivors (high readiness) versus talk of crushing defeats and massacres (low readiness).
Fetch Quests:
1. Fetch quests that are actual missions, not faux exploration missions. A true mission meaning you land on a planet w/ or w/o a vehicle section or dock with a ship. I was rather surprised at how shallow the fetch quests were.
2. I was hoping that one of the fetch quests would follow the ‘chain of deals’ trope. To get what would appear to be a simple war asset you have to jump through a series of hoops. This exists I suppose in a grander way with gaining the allegiance of some of the other species in the game, but I’d like to see it played out on a mundane level, in a humorous way.
Graphics(speaking for the PC version):
1. Improved textures. Texture quality is very inconsistent on some models. In most cases the head will look fine, but the rest of the characters body is distracting low quality. Anderson’s Alliance uniform texture is
distractingly jagged, and his hands are horrifying.
2. In some cutscenes Shepard appears to be looking at a wall instead of the person he should be talking to.
Future DLC:
I would like for all of the DLC to be story focused. Although, I enjoy the multiplayer for Mass Effect the reason I play Bioware games and Mass Effect in particular is for the story. I realize multiplayer DLC is coming, but
unless it impacts the game narrative or is free I’m not interested.
1. Retake Omega, the wrath of Aria DLC: Everyone suspects this to be a forthcoming DLC and I’m in. For some reason I have an irrational fear that the player character will be Aria not Shepard. I’m just being paranoid though; this is still Shepard’s story till the next Mass Effect game, right?
2. Search, Rescue, Escort, and Evacuate DLC: Side missions that have Shepard and the crew rescue crews of crippled ships and evacuate refuges from the oncoming reaper onslaught in key flash points throughout the galaxy. It’d be nice if this was focused on the Elcor, Drell, Hanar, and Volus species.
3. Spectre/Reaper DLC. I realize this is awfully specific, but I’d like to see more Spectres and a Reaper that doesn’t follow the party line touted by the Star Child or Harbinger. For example, a team of spectres intercept a signal from a Reaper on the fringe of Batarian space. The damaged Reaper, named Dissent, appears to be a turncoat, having escaped its imprisonment in Dark space when the other reapers launched their attack. Shepard
learns what happens when an incompatible species is converted into a reaper, and gets to meet other Spectres and learn some of their stories. Potential War Assets more Spectres or a Reaper.
4. An additional hub location aside from the citadel.
5. A series of missions based around your character background, as it is there are only a few references in dialogue and I believe a few war assets.
Thank you for listening and a great trilogy!

I want to believe that indoctrination theory its true... and stand up, talk with Harbringer and kick his ass (if Shepard must die twice, He will!), a real epilogue and see the future of my crewmates, see my blue childrens, I want to know that what I were fighting for, really worth it.
PD: excuse my bad english.

I'm sure this has been linked several times by numerous individuals in this thread so far but it's so concise and well written I can't help but write it again.
The primary nature of the upsettedness in it's most generic form can be labled simply as "closure", specifically the absence of it at the end of ME3. There's nothing, just the implied death of trillions of sentient life forms depending on which color you picked. Then it fades to black. I saw a gentleman on one of the "retake" threads say the other day that if things had cut off right after Anderson dies... Shepherd closing his eyes as the Crucible fires that that would be a perfect and noble death. There's plenty of ways to make that turn out happy for those who want a "sugar coated" ending to go with their heroism and of course it's easy to see the possabilities of a negative ending from that point as well. At that very second, after Anderson dies and Shepherd starts to fade... it was the end of what I can only think of as a perfect gaming experience. Everything up to that point was phenomenal.
Then Hackett's voice... then a horrible deus ex machina, some faulty reasoning and a set of ****ty choices filled with plot holes, gaping violent lore holes and absolutely no connection to the rest of the story. And then it just ends and flashes forward to some random scene with no context whatsoever. I'm a writer bioware, and from the very first game I've been passionately in love with this story. The end of it should sadden me, it's natural when the the things we love come to an end and that's fine, but when a three game, 120 hours of game play (not counting replays) and untold amounts of money between the games themselves and DLC comes to an end it shouldn't leave me feeling like I need to go write an epilogue because it's the only way to get actual closure...
That's not ok.

Firstly let me just say that i love ME (like everyone else here i would guess). But I want it said.
I loved the characters (as i have in all ME games), and i love that they seem to talk more in ME3, though i was a little disappointed that Kaidan had so little to say after having been missing for ME2, i would have liked more conversation options for him.
The romance with Kaidan was awesome (as ManShep ;3) the scene before going to the cerberus base was just... beautiful. I was grinning from ear to ear and squeeing like a little schoolgirl, i was even teary-eyed. And don't even get me started on the goodbye scene- pure WIN, sad, but WIN (and i was imagining afterwards when we'd won he WOULD get to hold him again... ... ... yeah... didn't happen T.T). i just wish there could've been some more "smaller" conversattions/scenes with him, just something that kind of let you know there's chemistry brewing.
I was disappointed to hear that Vega isn't romanceable at all? I had saved one femshep to romance someone (new) in ME3, and after Vega had been announced i had hoped he'd be it, and as i quite liked his character and his personality would totally suit with her i was really disappointed. But you can't romance them all i guess
I was a little sad that Shepard's ME2 squad only appear as cameos (and war assets- though you don't actually get to see them fighting *sad face* ) but i get that it would be difficult/near impossible to include EVERYONE in ME3 without making it HUGE. Though i would have vastly prefered the choice of an old squade mate over EDI any day, amusing though she is i would have prefered her onboard only.
I get why you gave EDI a body, and i loved the joker/EDI romance, but... really? couldn't you have given her a slightly different look? something slightly less... uhm, naked-female-hotness? it just made me sigh and shake my head.
You really succeeded well with making us love these characters and i am not ashamed to admit i cried as some of them died.
I would have liked to see my team mates (be them former or current) during the final battle on earth, i mean, we know these guys and want to know what happens to them, a short cutscene going from one to the other would have been enough, it just felt like they weren't there/didn't matter. It generally feels like you spent a lot of time gather war assets and you didn't really get to see how it all came together.
Speaking of war assets. Getting high enough EMS without multiplayer seems impossible. I mean to get the 'shepard lives' scene if you choose the red ending. generally it seems like the TMS/EMS needs tweaking as getting over 4000 EMS is almost impossible without multiplayer. And though i think the multiplayer is fun i don't want (can't afford it really) to pay for the xbox live (which is a lot of money per month for me) just to keep my galactic readiness at 100%. It would be one thing if it was a one time thing (once it's at 100% it stays there) but as it slowly ticks back down again i would need to keep paying xbox live membership to keep it at 100% and i cannot afford to do that. One month, fine, but not more. Seems like to get the full SP experience you HAVE to MP. Not cool.
The new scanning was a HUGE improvement and i liked it, though at times it was a bit annoying to be chased by reapers ;P
Kai Leng... what kind of ninja batman is he?! dude i laughed at him, and hated him, and at first i wasn't even sure he was supposed to be a serious Evil Character (was thinking perhaps he's cerberus' Conrad Verner), he was really silly, designwise only though. his core character was kinda badass... but the ninja thing, just no. Ninja isn't a good thing in a space sci-fi; I couldn't take him seriously. plus i wondered time and again why he didn't kill shepard, and why shepard didn't kill him; their "dance" seemed out of place.
Loved what you did with the Illusive man. He had evolved, but was still the same man he was in ME2. I don't like his character cuz he's a horrible person, but as a villain, pure genius. Awesome. ... Though his death scene was kind of a rip-off of Saren's death scene and make me frown.
i liked that the weapons seemed to be shared between everyone (though i wish you could sell stuff- missed that about ME2 as well), but i had gotten the impression you'd be able to personalise your weapons and armour more. This way it just seemed redundant, which is a shame as i really like the thought of and had looked forward to making my own "jessie"
Omniblade is LOVE :3 It is my precious and I named it Pearl, cuz it is shiny. I am a close-combat kinda girl and I love to be able to walk up to the enemy and stab them in the bal- *cough* i mean, kill them.
The journal needs fixing ASAP. It needs to update as you do things, it's really difficult to remember who wanted what done where, and if you'd done it. You get all these smaller sidequests by walking around the citadel just walking past people it's really difficult keeping them apart, and if you do something inbetween it's really easy to forget what you've done and not.
The child (the one Shepard fails to save back on earth) was boring and made just roll my eyes, i didn't feel anything for him, and the nightmares just made me snore. But i liked that you could hear dead squademates in the dream (first one only ashley, then as thane died, legion etc their voices were added). But the child was redundant and i didn't really see the point to him.
I've been told that he was supposed to represent all the people shepard couldn't save and i didn't think that came across, and even if it had it seems a little silly, ridiculous even, so have a child as a symbol to that. It just felt like you were trying to tug our heartstrings by making it a child. Did not work, quite the contrary. But maybe i am just cold hearted, either way after hearing that i dislike him even more.
The endings.
Hmmm, how to put into words all the things that left me feeling crushed (because i was, i was a complete MESS after having finished it- a trainwreck), and be constructive about it.
I didn't like that i was alone going to the citadel, i wanted my team with me at the end. I can see that that wouldn't have worked with how you made the end, but i have been fighting with my team since ME1 and i want them there right next to me as i kick reaper ass. ... though in the current ending we don't really kick reaper ass... and i am glad only shepard went down. Then again they're marrooned on some random planet without a way to get back.... hmmm... maybe would've been nicer to go down with LI at shepard's side... I am also puzzled as to why joker is abandoning the fight and going through a relay and how my team was on the normandy after having been on earth.
Well, first off the lack of choices is a problem. I want variety, i want my choices through the three games reflected in the endings. I would like there to be a happy ending. Call me a sap, but i would love to see at least one of my Shepards (i have 10) make it out to live happily with his/her LI. But i also want there to be one ending where shepard die (maybe too little EMS, or something) but i want there to be CHOICES. I want to know that if i do my very best i can save the galaxy and still be with my LI.
Have different thresholds- one where you fail galaxy doomed, one where shepard and crew dies, but glaxy saved, one where most of the crew survives but shepard dies, one where all crew survives and only shepard dies and one where everyone lives and shepard and LI are reunited in a soulcrushing moment.
Life sucks enough as it is, i want my games to give me some happiness.
The catalyst (AKA star child
Hope. There was none in the end. the mass relays blew up, people were stranded and you get the feeling the galaxy is doomed. Not the feeling you should have at the end, i want to see what happened to the different races, the rebuild, SOMETHING that indicates that they didn't all just get blown up along with the relays.
If you were trying to do something "unexpected", or "unique" with the ending of ME, i hope you'll reconsider, because that's not what people want from a series like Mass Effect, they want to be the hero, make a heroic stand, save the galaxy, maybe even achieve the impossible. there are different ways to achieve that, you did none of them. These ending failed. At the end i felt like i had lost; I wasn't a hero, I couldn't achieve what I've been working for over three games. And that sucked.
If there are plans to try and save the end i fear it will be really difficult as bitterness and resentment has festered in my ME filled heart since finishing the game and it has tainted the entire series for me.
But please, try.
I love this series too much to want it to end like it. I have invested hundreds of hours and all my heart into it.
I am sure i will get over it, and maybe even be able to play ME3 again (right now i can't; it hurts too much), but as the ending is now I will never play it to the end.
Sorry, teh emo snuck in there.
I think that about covers everything i can think of at this moment, might edit if i remember something else

The biggest problem I have with the game is the ending.
After the "Mad Dash" (you'll know what I mean), it started going downhill. I couldn't find my team anywhere, so I assumed they were dead someplace I couldn't see them, since Hackett was saying no one made it. I was holding a random weapon. I killed a marauder in 2 shots, while half-dead myself, while it should have been a tough fight (like before the mad dash). I still enjoyed the bits with TIM and Anderson, although talking to TIM is basically the same as Saren at the end of ME1 minus the bossfight. (I really don't need a bossfight in the ending, by the way, one thing I didn't think was wrong with it).
I was very disappointed to see that much of the dialogue with Anderson was cut, since it seemed beautiful.
Then I met the Catalyst, and couldn't believe my eyes and ears. It was totally out-of-the-blue, and didn't fit in with the game so far at all. There was also no dialogue with him, only Shepard basically agreeing with everything and questioning nothing, all totally out of my control. His points made no sense. Then he forced me to pick one of 3 endings, which also made no sense, and which were basically all the same thing with different colours.
My biggest complaint there is that they were all too much the same, not enough variety, and as such you are also stuck with a very depressing ending (because there is only one ending in practice). I am fine with there being sad endings, grim endings, etc, but I want real variety. At least one happy or semi-happy ending where Shepard lives and is reunited with her LI would be nice, or an ending where they go down together (I get enough depressing stuff where your choices barely matter and good people have bad things happen to them etc in real life, thanks). Biggest problem lack of variation.
Then we get cutscenes. Biggest problem: inconsistencies and lack of resolution. We see mass relays explode and the Citadel breaking apart very close to earth, but we never learn what happens with all this, or we're just supposed to believe everything eventually ends up fine because some old guy and some kid get 3 seconds in at the end. What happens to all the fleets? To all the home planets and different species and important NPCs? Then we see the Normandy flying at full speed, gods only know where, and crashing on some random planet which is not Earth (please, it has two moons that are way closer than ours), and out step Joker and EDI, and Alenko. Funny, I could have sworn Alenko was with me when we got blasted to hell by Harbringer. No resolution here either, we just see some faces, and then them getting off the Normandy wreck, no idea what happened to get them there, no idea what happens to them next. Procreation seems out, anyway. So, even if Shepard lives, most of the people that mattered to her seem to be planets away.
And this is all that happens. If I am supposed to make all of the ending up by myself, I could have done that without getting the game, you know. It would have been a more satisfying story too.
So, while I can't make myself believe indoctrination theory (I really think the team, for some reason I'll never be able to understand, thought this would be an awesome ending as it is), I think going with indoctrination theory would be your best (because easiest) way to fix things. You could release DLC for a proper ending after having Shepard wake up (either indoctrinated, or not, having given in or beaten it in the sequence with the Catalyst) still on Earth. And people who like the ending, could just not use that DLC. This way everyone could be pleased.
Knowing it all ends in this mess, I haven't been able to replay any of the games in the ME series anymore at all. I had been looking forward to many replays and many interesting variation, but that was all slapped away in 15 minutes. It's not even that I'm boycotting anything, I've tried replaying the games and I just lose will and feel drained 5 minutes in.
Now my second biggest complaint: To get one of the endings (yeah I know, but still), you are forced into plahying multiplayer. I don't want to. Beforehand, we were promised that we wouldn't have to. Where the ending is draining and hollow, this is anger-inducing.
Then the rest:
the game really lacked proper dialogue. I couldn't use the dialogue wheel as much, and when I could, there were fewer options, less middle ground too. I really don't like the "Zaeed-like" conversation where you just listen and can't control anything.
The side quests were awful: the quests themselves were fun to watch the resolution of, but they were ALL fetch quests, and they were ALL just scanning and delivering, no gameplay to speak of.
This resulted in there being only a few main missions, and less than a handful important side-missions (more like main missions really) to really play through, thus making the game incredibly short, shortest so far in the series, and I already felt ME2 was too short.
So, I hope this isn't just a stop-gap measure where you're all trying to buy time so we'll all calm down and forget about this. I'm pessimistic though. Your reactions so far have been very disappointing. I also do not appreciate us being referred to as "some" players, like the majority liked the endings. It's pretty obvious by now we're the majority, even though not everyone will bother coming on the forums and voicing their opinion. Most people I know were just as angry/disappointed with the ending as I was, but they just threw away or returned their game, and never said anything about it, and moved on.
But I'm not going to go away.

Wanted to quote this for Truth, as you put what I tried to say a lot better (including the example) than I ever could.Cmdr Shepard N-7 wrote...
6. Shepherd is not a tragic hero. A common debate I see is between people who think there should be a happy ending and people who think such an ending would be out of place or impossible, sometimes refering to Shepherd as "tragic". The simple fact is, Shepherd has no tragic flaw nor does he make a tragic mistake; had such a tragic characteristic existed, it could be a foregone conclusion he would die. Overcoming the Reapers may be an impossible task, but the impossible is
routinely overcome in the Mass Effect trilogy and other epics. As is, there is nothing in the story that would railroad Shepherd towards an inevitable demise, the difficulty of his task makes his death likely, but there's nothing that should remove the possibility of a happy ending. This may be why many people want a "happy" or "brighter" ending, there's no setup nor payoff to Shepherd's death and without those it may feel cheap; storytelling is all about setup and payoff.
For an example of a good tragic hero, look no farther than Mordin Solus. His tragic mistake was the creation of the genophage. When a desperate need for krogan intervention arose and the genophage was the reason they refused, Mordin fulfilled his tragic role by sacrificing and redeeming himself. There's a big setup for the genophage throughout the series and Mordin's involvement is setup in the second game as a huge internal conflict for him. In three, this all pays off beautifully with either his redemption or brutal murder at Shepherd's hands before he can succeed. This is proper execution for a tragic character. From what I've seen, this is one of the most beloved and well-received storylines in the game; compare that to the ending's reception.

Jessica,
Thanks for this request. This post won't be just about the endings, hope that's ok.
Things I want solved:
Some Me2 characters being sidelined. Seeing how Mordin went out with a BANG and everyone mourning him I was quite shocked to see (romanced) Thane giving his life to aid you and, while the death scene was harrowing, Shepard didn't mourn, nobody mentioned him, no tears, no last "I love you.". The cut dialogue for this scene would help if it could be patched in. Same with Anderson's cut dialogue before he dies. If we romanced a ME2 character, give them as much attention as Ash, Kaidan or Liara. Don't sideline them.
The Endings: Now, I do NOT hate them. I esp. love the Control ending being the PARAGON option and TIM being right, Shep saying so is utter catharsis and took my breath away. BUT: Why are there NO possibilities to argue with the catalyst? Is it indoctrination? The catalyst taking the form of the child representing everyone Shep has lost so far was brilliant. But make that more concise, more of a dramatic punchline. I.E. Let a Renegade Shep say "I won't be swayed by such pathetic means." MAJOR issue: Squad members being on the Normandy without an explanation how they got there. Seeing too little of the assets I fought SO HARD to aquire making a difference in cutscenes etc. Galactic readiness locked at 50% without MP? Just NO. The Jungle scene.... Eh... It felt tacked on, as if made by some other team. I am all for symbolism but it was just too...corny? I liked the moment with Buzz at the end. But WHY NOT have HIM give closure by detailing where my decisions led in an epilogue?
Work on the endings: I neither want nor need happy fluff endings that negate the theme of sacrifice and agony. But expand what you already have through differing cutscenes & dialogue for the endings. Do not railroad it into A,B,C ...esp. after saying that wasn't going to happen.
I hope this is useful and, yes, I'd pay for more but making it a free big patch ala an Enhanced Edition would be the right move in my book.

All of the character development, I thought Thane's death and in my game, Legion's and Mordin's were superb. I did not hate those deaths, despite loving Mordin and really liking Legion. They were perfectly pitched.
Throw backs to the past games and all of the fanservice you did was fantastic. From 'Prothy the Prothean' to Garrus's 'favourite spot on the citadel', it all worked excellently.
The combat was great. Improvement on ME2. As was the customization system. I think you nailed it (other than the odd glitch where powers were unselectable in the pause screen).
Pretty much all of the rest of the game until the end.
What was I slightly dissapointed not to see (but what I am content with not having seen):
A few more throwbacks like Parsini, Veetor, the consort etc. and a bit more on ME1 quests. But I suppose this could be included in other DLC later, or is something that I can cope with.
More combat missions. I felt that there was simply a lot of search and retrieve sidequests and too few combat ones. I do appreciate this would have taken time however, but just a minor niggle. But the ones you have in are fantastic.
What I disliked:
A lack of a confrontation with Harbringer. I really enjoyed the talk with the reaper on Rannoch and was waiting to speak to Harby. It really jarred that he said nothing in ME3 whereas he was so vocal in ME2... I don't even want a boss fight, which I know you avoided. I just want a talk with him! Sovereign's talk was one of the best ever ME moments and that is what I wanted here.
Face import - But you seem to be on to that.
More final battle. You did it perfectly in the space fight, I loved that bit, it was spot on. I'd have liked a similar thing for the ground and to have seen former squaddies, rachni, krogan, etc. fighting it out.
The EMS & multiplayer situation. I personally don't like multiplayer, but from what I've seen you did it well. I believe however, that I should not be punished in SP just because I didn't play MP as I still couldn't reach even 4000 EMS with 100% completion...
Mass Relay Destruction. I disliked it not just because of the impact on the future (which is my own selfish love for the franchise and something I could get over), but rather because it is not foreshadowed. If I went to the citadel, knowing they would get blown up, it would make much more sense and It'd feel a lot better as you'd know the sacrifice, instead of it being a throw away line at the end with a cinematic.
Epilogue: I could perhaps even learn to accept the endings as long as I see the surviving races working together and seeing outcomes of my decisions. This is surely not to hard to implement, as I don't even think it requires speech as it just needs music and in-game animation or perhaps just slides. This was the biggest mistep of the ending in my opinion. We want closure.
Normandy: This MUST be fixed. It is inexplicable and out of place.
Catalyst: A lack of investigate options made it seem very poorly done. I wanted to argue! I could have coped with it and the reapers' reason, if only I had been able to say it was a load of rubbish to the catalyst. And hence, would have prefered a slightly different ending to be possible where you rejected its logic and something else happened.
Cut dialogue: The extended Anderson scene. Put it back in!

Seconded!Daverid wrote...
Indoctrination Theory...
All the Speculation People have come up with could EASILY be turned into Truth.
Whether you planned this and covered it up OR you never intended it to be a Viable thought pattern for the Ending.
All the Evidence to make this ending a reality is there ... There so many factors that Hint towards it, purposefully or not, and you have this one opportunity to harness these "Possible Accidents".
Your Fans have done all the work here for you and figured out exactly why and how the Indoctrination Theory works ... Now take this as a Second Chance, Create the DLC for it (Free or $10 I don't really care as long it gives closure) and this time make it right. Give us more options for an Ending .. Even if Shepard still dies (Which IMO is deserving of his character), Create more Closure on the Story, Characters and Races we've been invested in over 3 Games and this Incredible Trilogy.

Give us DLC that is similar to "Broken Steel" from Fallout 3 and allow us to play "Post-Harbinger" differently, MAKE HARBINGER SAY SOMETHING!
He was scary for the first few hours in ME2, make him scary again, like Sovereign was on Virmire.
Explain the three endings and show a cutscene of what happens after each one. If you take control, show us a Reaper that is Shepard and him leading the other reapers including Harbinger.
Anything is better than what is on the disc.

2. Shepard has ALWAYS been presented as character who will make their own path if the current one does not suit him/her. Instead they are completely out of character and decide that listening to a Reaper is a good idea.
3. Casey Hudson said they wanted a "uplifting" ending. There is nothing hopeful or uplifting about the endings.
4. Indoctrination ending is correct.

the rest of the game.
- I loved the combat mechanisms, the cover mechanism and the most fun touch: the melee!
- I enjoy most of the quests such as: priority mission, Rannoch, Palaven, Cerberus, N7 and etc.
I didn't mind doing the "search and collect" quests but it was quite unpleasant that I didn't
have an updated quest log; telling me that I have obtained the X item.
- I loved the new
companion interactions; since the number of companions was reduced I thought
we'd have more than "one" date at the citadel kind of thing. One
thing that was a little bit disappointing is certain romances, like Thane, I
wanted more interacting with him since he's much loved by many.
- I loved the graphics
but it would be very nice to get the "High Res" pack that was
promised.
Lastly, Even though I
found everything awesome and fun, and moving, it felt that everything I did at
the end was for nothing. Even though the end-game decisions had 3 different
choices, it ended almost the same. For example:
The Synthesis was to merge the organics and synthetics,
but ended with the Normandy stranded, the mass relays destroyed, no closure, and
no explanation.
Controlling I see no victory in this, I thought Shepard hated the
reapers, why would he/she accept to this? I see this out of character, it's a
different choice, but the outcome was almost the same. Relays destroyed no
closure, Normandy stranded, and no explanation.
Destroy now, this sounds much more
like Shepard, I know that one of the themes of ME series was sacrifice, and i
completely accept this as one of the endings. But still, I don't know what to
make of it. How did she/he survive the blast and fire? And how is that she is
under some concrete and she's not floating? It makes no sense. Okay, she
"survived" but what about...what happened next?
I love ME series, and don’t get me wrong, I know you guys worked so hard to deliver, but I just can’t
help but feel betrayed and angry, I don’t mean disrespect. Nobody is asking for
a change but for additional endings and some “epilogue” call me cheesy but I
was looking forward to a happy ending, Shepard already lost and sacrificed many
things, please.
Thank You for reading,
Daniela

For me, I'd like the war assets to culminate in the ending (a la Mass Effect 2's Thanix cannon, armor, and I honestly forgot the other ship upgrades). This way I can see the effects of siding with the geth or quatrains, krogan or salarians, etc. I know that this may take a reworking of the war asset system due to it being fulfilling a bar, but I can speak for many when I say it was totally worth it.
Secondly, it would be cool to assist Hackett in positioning fleets and making decisions on how to attack. That would just give a breath of fresh air to the ending and really make an incredible amount of consequence and difference between two players' games.
Lastly, I really want a fourth ending option where I can take my chances and battle the reapers with my all out force. That kind of choice would allow so many plot point to wrap up: the krogan getting redemption, the humans getting more respect, the batarians and Javik getting vengeance, the desperate Asari rallying behind the Destiny Ascension, the gangs around Aria contributing to something positive, etc. When I battle the Reapers, I know that every soldier of every race has made a sacrifice, and I don't want Shepard's "choices" interfere. Basically, I want to tell Starchild "I'll take my chances", tell the galactic force that the crucible is a trap or ruse, and give a heck of an inspirational speech as I lead the charge from the Normandy, cradling Anderson in my arms.

Ending + Aftermath
Now for as what I'd personally like, I'd like to see more options then just A,B or C failing that I want an option to reject those and to duke it out with the Reapers akin to the second games final fight.
Now I'm not saying that Sheppard should grab boxing gloves and start 1:1 fighting reapers, but at the very least I'd like a final showdown or at least a discussion with either Harbinger or the Catalyst space child resulting in a potential more "happy" ending for our hero.
next to that'd I'd sure as hell want to know the most asked questions, why did Joker (and EDI depending on the ending) flee?, why is my crew suddenly with them and not with me fighting? (considering my LI and or favorite squad member got in the final cutscene and I'd be damned sure to drag them down to the final fight with me seeing as thats what qualifies them in the first place.)
What happend to the other races? did they just get fried by the Mass relays? Did they all live happily ever after? Did they start a new journy to their own system (regardless of how bad the travel/odds might have looked for them)?
Or did everyone just colonize whatever was left of earth and systematically died? I want some closure not just for sheppard, but for the galaxy as well.
In general I just want some anwsers for the aftermath and a potential happy ending for my Sheppard and his Love Intrest.
Don't NEED space children but think of it like this, giving sheppard an optional happy ending would be an ideal method to deliver future DLC akin to ME2's end game available DLC content.
General gameplay + Minor bugs
I'll list these briefly as they've been mentioned quite a bit already and I'm sure Bioware is already aware of it.
Squadmates dissapearing randomly on some segments of the game (I managed to lose Garrus inside the Geth superstructure and I didn't find him till he got teleported to me in an elevator).
Squadmates / NPC's dissapearing into thin air in the middle of a dialogue segment. (nothing confused me more then people talking to Tali while she wasn't on screen and supposedly making gestures instead of even talking).
Questlog in general, it's simple, too simple, you can't track your quests outside of what your on or not, you can't see the progress for it and you can't set it as a priority so it'd give a marker, this alone would help so much seeing at times I'd be lost trying to find whatever the quest needed me to do.
Dialogue with NPC's, albe it logical to not have gigantic libraries of dialogue (there should and is a physical limit both to resources and time/effort) I'd like more of it then we have now, some characters like Garrus feel good and well fleshed out (to my own taste) but Vega refused to talk to me half the goddamn time and when he did he didn't say much intresesting outside of the N7 dialogue and his backstory (give us some bro time or something!)
Older Cast members (potentially as DLC), Okay I'm incrediably spoiled but I love my old Squads especially the Krogans, I have not a single Krogan squadmate in this game however and it ticked me off, I have 6 Squadmates (DLC counting as the 6th) and not one of them is Krogan, I have 2 humans for gods sake, give me my old cast (or whats left of it depending on decisions etc.) back for a few missions like in The Shadow Broker with Liara, I'd love to replay ME3 with Wrex or Grunt with me heck even Mordin or Legion for where the story would permit it.
Thats it as far as I can sugest at this point, I shall have faith in Bioware and above all I will.
Hold the line.

Higher resolution texture pack for PC users. we have the power, let us use it!. The whole one button does everything gets annoying, you try to do one thing but end up hiding behind a corner, let us bind KEYS!, we have a keyboard for a reason. Field of View anyone? I'd like to be able to change my Field of View, I get a tad bit dizzy when playing because you cater to consoles field of view which is narrow it's like looking through binoculars for a couple of hours with no peripheral vision. I wanted more dialogue choice, hardly any in this game..
