What is the best assault rifle in MP??

The Geth Pulse Rifle is a peashooter even at level 3.Have to stay out of cover to long to kill anyone.
Revenant on Turian sentinel  or soldier is not bad though.

I'd like the Falcon more if my hits would register more then 10% of the time because when it DOES work, it's GLORIOUS. Haven't tried a Saber yet though.

If all of those are at level X I could agree, however the automatics tend to be far too weak at low levels to be effective.

Depends on what you want from your AR.

For a someone who wants to lay down a wall of lead, the Revenant is the obvious choice. For the more marksman inclined the Sabre is the clear choice. I've also heard good things about the Falcon, though it sounds like it's performance takes noticeable hits from lag.

Falcon for AOE/Trash/Fun

Saber for single target acquisition kills

Geth Pulse rifle for the high rate of fire and large ammunation

Avenger for power user that needs a light weapon

I think the falcon a bit overrated I have it and most the time I am just making it easier for everyone else to kills things.

The falcon has one major issue and thats that the little balls at times can dissappear if you lag a bit.  Other times the balls seems to bounce off walls that doesn't exisit. 

Other than that its a pretty beastly weapon for almost all classes.  Its f'en epic on a Human Soldier.

You need to be the host to use the falcon, or have an incredibly good connection. If you do, then the falcon is the best weapon in the game, only possibly surpassed by the black widow on an infiltrator. Its not the best weapon in the game due to its damage either (although aoe damage is great). Its because the gun staggers things on its first shot. It is actually the best gun in the game for power users, believe it or not, because u can fire a shot which staggers them, then fire your biotic and they wont dodge it. The stagger is more valuable then having faster cooldowns. This gun is extremely good.

I'll take the faster cooldowns since most of my shots with the Falcon don't seem to register sadly. Some games it will and others I can't do jack squat while outside of Vangaurd, my powers never fail me.

If you know how to time it so you don't ghost shot (or host the game) the Falcon is unbeatable especially in the hands of the Human Soldiers (who can boost their weapon damage). I use it a lot on my Turian Sentinel who can Strip Shields/Barriers with Overload, increase damage taken on big targets with Warp, and tank fairly well with Tech Armor up.

After that it's pretty much user preference. You can find any number of posts of people swearing up and down the board about one particular gun or another. Often times, however, most of the reviews of weapons do not cover what settings they were tried on (such as opponent and difficulty rating). I can tell you from experience any weapon does well on Bronze, some do better than others on Silver, and a great deal of weapons are pretty useless on Gold compared to a select few.

Avenger X is great for someone who wants 200% recharge but likes ARs.

Falcon is awesome for soldiers. Add a Cryo ammo III mod and it is just devastating. I have been in a few runs were all four people were using Falcons and we just blew through the maps by spawn killing the enemies.
