Hi guys

I'm a huge fan of Baldurs gate, Mass Effect, KOTOR, NWN and everything Bioware has done...grown up with them you might say.

I recently moved from the UK to the USA...and brought my Xbox 360 with me, bought a transformer, and managed to get it working on my TV.

Now I really want to try this game out, and was wondering if anyone known whether this game will be region-encoded...I would prefer to buy the US version here but not sure if it will work on my UK Xbox360. Otherwise I may have to wait (NOOOO) until I go back at Christmas to the UK to get hold of a UK copy..

thx in advance!

I've not heard of any 360 games lacking region lock. I was under the impression it was demanded by Microsoft.

No...I think many publishers don't use it...just not sure about Bioware/EA

Only a select few Asia/USA/PAL games are region free. Xbox 360 consoles are region locked and so are there games.  So if you buy a USA game for your UK xbox, that I am afraid, due to the NTSC/U restriction it will not work. You need a PAL game. Either European edition or United Kingdom edition.

Edit : However, game discs that are region free, play on any xbox 360 console

You can check if the games are region free or not on play-asia, but some games weren't tested yet so they don't know for sure, but most of the games are there.
