With the ending, it is impssible for me to rate the game, because it destroys the whole series and makes the games unreplayable. Which is extreamly sad as the game is completly amazing until that stupid ending.

I felt that the game was a bit too short, could have used more interesting side quests and other areas to explore aside from the citadel.

- Climax and Act 3 were weak at best, and hastily drawn together.
- Game play was decent.
- Acts 1 & 2 were amazingly good.
- Lack of sidequests and explorable areas also hurt replayability quite a bit.
- World scanning for resources is really tedious and just not engaging to the player.
- Less control of Shepard's dialogue than in previous games, taking away some of the choice we loved in having.
With the ending: 3/10.

I think Mass Effect 3 is the weakest of the trilogy, but of course still much better than the average game.
With the endings I'd rate Mass Effect 3 a 6/10.

Most of the quests are just scanning. Theres also no exploration. I also completed it insanely fast.

The inclusion of characters that ultimately didn't make much sense to me also lost it some points because of bad acting: Diana Allers, and confusion: James Vega...?? Where is the Krogan squadmate? I also was going to dock 0.3 points because control wasn't as smooth as ME2...but I replayed ME2 and realized the increased complication was for the better of the game.
Story writing obviously saved the game and kept the score high but it can only go so far.
With ending, 7.2-7.5/10 ending can ruin the ME series for you. It can un do every choice you have made without even thinking of consequences.

The ending... I'm not going to bother to rate it. It was amazing up to get hit by Harbinger, then just became okay/tolerable/acceptable up to the point where Hackett voices that the crucible isn't working, then it just took a complete nose dive.

I wouldn't go 10/10 but minus the ending, it's a damn good game. probably a 7 or 8.
Some things that contributed to a lower score are
- Tali hackjob
- lack of war assets in final battle
- lack of worlds to explore (no Palaven, no Hanar homeworld, no Elcor homeworld, ect.)
- lack of squadmates
Other than that (and the ending) it was excellent.
This sums up my feelings pretty well.

just minor annoyances .. technical & the side quest (overheard conversation) pop out of nowhere but does not take away the overall gameplay. (that is without the ending)
With the ending (7/10)

And then there's the ending, which invalidates a lot of what had been done in the trilogy and just doesn't fit. It makes me not want to play any ME anymore. It makes me as unhappy with the game as the game with a good ending would have made me happy. That turns the score into a negative value for the game with the end as it is at this moment.

Ending: 0/10 When 10 minutes make it so I not only can't replay this game, but the two games that preceded it, you know there is something horribly wrong.

Questing sucks badly.
1)Wander around citadel
2)Do boring system scans
3)Collect line/s of text
4)Repeat
A complete borefest.
The game even lacks other things such as holstering, hacking/bypassing. Too much recycled material and not enough new. The graphics/animations are just awful. Whole game feels rushed.
Don't know why they have an RPG mode because there's little RPG left in ME.
