Game 9.5/10

Awesome game allthough I miss the more cinematic conversations, Tali's face was lamely handled and the game was a little shorter than I expected.

End 1/10

And it only gets that 1 becuse it is an ending...of sorts....

Simple as that, no matter the small bugs, every game has them.

With ending not included this game is one of the best I have ever played.
With ending included, my rating would be 0/10 because this horrible nonsense killed all the franchise.

9/10

Pros: vastly improved and more enticing combat that really made it feel like like you were fighting different armies; return of somehow meaningful shoping; shockingly epic culminations of some side storylines; great way of balancing weapons and abilities; an annoying, arrogant douche of a villain that I really, really, really wanted to kill up close and personal. Seriously, I hardly recall a videogame villain that I wanted to painfully obliterate so. You usually just want to beat them, but this one, you want to hear squeal first. And Garrus. And Wreavˇs rallying speech, which is by far the best part of the ending, and the only one I could bear to experience again.

Cons: a lot of confined areas, endless loading screens, limited exploration possibilities, strange conversations without dialogue options, limited number and scope of side missions, silly "galactic readiness" option, resorting to monster bum rush in order to scale up mission difficulty. I miss missions with timers. Standing around holding the line against silly numbers again and again is no fun. The kid in the dream feels horribly out of sync, whatever it´s meaning. The beginning on Earth in the worst start of the series, and, frankly, worse start than any game I´ve played lately, including chess.

With the lazy ending, it´s 6/10. In the context of the series, it´s 2/10. I wouldn´t have bought it nor played it, had I known about the issue, until the issue was settled.

The journals could have updated when you got the required items so you knew where in the quest you were. and the whole war assets being tied to MP was not good if you don't like MP

7/10 because of:

- No vehicle
- Lazy done sidequests or rather fetch-type quests with only scanning for random items.
- Too much autodialoque
- Lazy done picture of Tali that determines whole Quarian race as badly photoshoped stock images.

I gotta say, I disagree with most here.

This game is far from perfect even aside from the ending.

The auto dialogue and lack of fleshing out the squad members...yikes. I really felt like I was on auto pilot, I didn't feel any connection to my squad mates like I did in ME2.

8/10. For reference I would have ME2 9.5/10, same with ME1.

Room for improvement: Deeper dialogue and more frequent, as opposed to the linear "Hey Shepard good job on killing that guy on that planet!"...

8,5/10

It had some flaws after all.

ME 2 would be a 9.25/10 ish

My highest, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory 9,5/10

8/10 - No game I've ever played was perfect from top to bottom, but ME3 was pretty damn close. They massively improved on key aspects of the game such as combat, the story/campaign missions was vastly improved upon. There were no squadmates that were bad, and they put a lot of effort into bringing back the characters, despite the fact they could be killed of. The music was brilliant as well, some of the best in the entire series.

There were a few issues, some large like Multi-player's having an effect on your single player story, and smaller ones such as the poor journal and a lack of "wheel dialogue" with Ashley on aboard the Normandy, but other than that the game was brilliant.

Without the ending I think there were some issues with it and it seemed it wasn't as polished but the game (without endings) easily makes up for it. 10/10

9/10 for the game without the ending
(There are issues I just can't over see, taking steps backwards at the same time forwards)

1/10 for the game with the ending. I give it a 1 because the Indoctrination Theory is great, but then if that was the case, incomplete game at full price with expected paid DLC to finish it.

Graphics: 9.0 (same as ME2 or few improvements but minor glitches and being stucked behind objects problems are not fixed)
Music: 10
Gameplay: 9.0 (no vehicles, autodialogues and boring side missions on the other hand brilliant primary missions, epic scenes)
Story: 10
Ending: 7.5 (created some holes in story but ending made sense for me)
General:
(with ending) -9.0
(without ending) -9.5

10/10 without the endings.

I gave it a 0/10 with the endings...since for me...one drop of poison ruins the entire well.

Somewhere in the high 8's. I don't think ME3 deserves a 9 even minus the ending, because it does stumble in quite a few areas:

The journal is crap.
They still stick that damn assault rifle/pistol into character's hands after three games.
Lip sink is worst in series (not everywhere, but for quite a few characters--especially Anderson and Joker)
That stupid security door in the Normandy (WTF is up with that?)
And so on...

None of it is all that major, but it does add up.

Without the ending, Mass Effect is a 9.9/10 game. Up to that point any space magic or plot holes can be easily forgiven due to the overwhelming amount of greatly designed scenarios, dialogs and unique moments of joy and tears.

Can even forgive the mediocre journal and the fact that Mass Effect 2 felt a little bland at some stages.

Can I just say its rather unfair to rate the game as 0 from a 10 minute sequence in a 35 hour game, Its no better than Cooper Lawrence in with the first Mass Effect game slamming a 30 hour game for a 4 minute sex scene

Having said that I'd give it 9.5 both with and without the ending.

Whilst I enjoy the game and the multiplayer alot there are still a lot of bugs in the game that do hinder but don't distract from the experience, had the game been bug free I'd have given it a perfect 10
