7/10 without endings.
Too many issues: awful journal, lousy FemShep walk/run (in casual areas and on the Normandy), too many 'in game' conversations (like DA2).
It's a solid game ... but not perfect, even without that horrid ending.

EDIT: 9/10, Solid A, but not an A+. I forgot about the horrible quest log.

8/10 without ending.
-too much Liara. Not enough Miranda. The quest system was terrible as well. Amongst other minor annoying things.
Ending, 1/10.
-Just a poor execution and effort by Bioware. And as the ending is a big selling point of ME3, it really hurts the overall game badly imo.

8.5/10
Because however awesome it was, there were problems. (also nothing anywhere, ever legitimately deserves 10/10, that would imply that it was 100% perfect which nothing ever is)
*Some awkward animation.
*Journal system was atrocious, also barely any real sidequests, ala ME1 and 2.
*Combat too similar over all (even more so than ME2) however it was enjoyable most of the time.
*No holstering.
*Texture quality randomness.
*Shepard and crew using the wrong weapons in cutscenes. (and this is prevelant in all 3 games)
*Allers VA.

9/10 setting the ending aside. Yes some minor issues but I never noticed during my first playthrough and they fixed/included everything I wanted that was broken/missing in ME2. Multiplayer is fun too.

5,5/10
-Still no dialogue wheel.
-Still very underwhelming intro
-Still streamlined shep
-Still mindless sidequests
-Still useless story with the cruicible.
-etc.
-Still Kai Leng
Many things are actually bad in ME3. Without the ending the game is about as good as its bad if you understand what I mean. The only parts that are any useful and good in ME3 are the ones that are the legacy from earlier games. There is 0 new content that is good.

8/10 mostly because they set the bar so high with ME2 and even sans ending there's not enough side missions/content, exploration and the dialogue system is fairly neutered.
Edit: also underwhelming last third of the game (post Rannoch). Though, like someone else said above, I almost never give 10/10s and I have a really high standard for bioware. And really the parts that were done well were done SO WELL that the flaws are really jarring to me in comparison.

7/10 without considering the ending.
Mass Effect 3 just watered down too many aspects that I loved in ME2. It plays way too linear. Too much auto dialogue. No more conversations with NPCs on the Citadel.. very disappointing. The game just feels so much smaller. One hub world. Basically all the side missions are fetch quests you don't care about at all. I could go on and on.
ME3 has a lot of emotionally draining moments, that's really all they did right here.

9.99/10 for the game without the ending, just because of having to play multiplayer to get the full EMS. It was absolutely the best game I've ever played up right up to Anderson's death, which was the last in an incredible line of heartfelt moments that tugged at my emotions.

9/10 or 4.5/5 depending oh where you would look WITHOUT the ending. While there was some issues with the game before the epic fail ending, I can't remember having that much fun and going "oh man, that was cool!" in a game. Playing as a vanguard and just blasting people with biotic awesomeness made me feel like a superhero. Sure there were small problems but the overall gameplay was superb......which was what made the ending an even bigger let down.
If they don't fix the ening, this will go down in history as one of the best games that almost was....

I dont see how that really can be done.
But I am sure everyone will be pleased with the game if the ending never happened.
I'm a little upset that I didnt get some of the choices other people got despite having full reputation, but thats probably because I didnt do something in the previous games or maybe I didnt talk to people enough in ME3 *shrugs* I'm over the single player part of it, focused on MP.

I'd give it a 9.8/10. There were some weird graphics issues I had (ie With Garrus on his favorite place in the Citadel). However, the rest of the graphics were spot-on, the music was spot-on, and the moods/passion/feelings were...spot on! I loved this game! Best game I've played to date.

Without the ending? 9.8/10: not perfect, but closer than any other game I've played.
0.2 comes off for a bit too much auto-dialogue making my Shepard do/say things that were a bit discordant for how I wanted to play her, plus poor treatment of Jacob and Thane's romances (though my own Shepard romanced Kaidan and really enjoyed the experience).

I would give the game a 8/10 before the ending, and a 7/10 after the ending. For me it comes down to replayability. I just don't think the decisions made in the previous games make that much of a difference. You either talk to Wrex, or you talk to Wreav, but you pretty much say and hear the same conversation, with minor differences. You talk to Ashley, or you talk to Kaidan, but they pretty much say and do exactly what the other one would, with minor differences. The railroad tracks are firmly in place, and the game is even more linear than ME2 was. And it just feels like there are fewer missions, but hopefully DLC will add more stuff to do. Overall it was a really good game, but the lack of impact of Shepard's actions and the VERY railroad ending takes it out of the running to be a truly great game. Which is obviously a real shame, because they were SO close in so many ways.

Without the ending 9/10. I took the 10th point off for needing to play multiplayer for the best ending and Tali's face laziness.
With the ending 2/10. It would be 4/10 but I knocked off 2 more points because in my opinion it ruined Mass Effect 1 and 2 as well.

If they didn't sideline the ME2 characters, especially the LI's, I'd be more inclined to giving it a higher score.

Without the ending, the game is a 9.5. The only complaints I had until the ending is that they handled the Shepard/Tali romance thing pretty poorly. Why we never get to see her face except in a tiny, poorly lit framed picture, I have absolutely no idea. The physical romance scenes with Tali were weak in ME2, and they are even worse in ME3. Gameplay wise, though, the game is a 10, but I'm not sure why Bioware is having such a problem giving its fans what they really want, with both DA2 and now ME3. Quit trying to go after shooter fans and make a decent RPG with a good ending first and foremost. DA2 backfired on them and while sales for ME3 were great and brought in plenty of new buyers, all of this backlash is coming back to bite them in the butt.

Same as Mass Effect 1. ME3 was a strong emotional ride from start to... almost finish.
More consistent story telling than ME2 aswell. Less auto dialog and bit more work on here and there, less cut corners, and it would have been 10/10 easily in my book.
