I don't understand how people are giving it 10/10. I think people are so distracted by the ending they think ME3 is otherwise flawless.
Google had to give up its YouTube five-star rating system because the vast majority of votes was either a 1 or a 5 star. It's not surprising to see people say silly things like '10/10 for the game, 1/10 for the ending' because that's all they ever do: from Facebook to Youtube, to Google, to feedback on other people's blogs etc.: pretty much everything is either LIKE or DISLIKE, AGREE or DISAGREE. It's all rather binary and only works somewhat in large numbers - and even then it's underwhelming.

the ending when you pass it and are in the middle of all the emotions I gave a 6.5, afterwards when you think about it more though, drops to a 3

-Simplistic, unoriginal side quests (fetch items)
-Ease-dropping(lol rly) to get side quests
-Way too much auto-dialog compared to previous games
-Watered down dialogue trees (Where's neutral option, where's investigate)
-Much less paragon/renegade actions.. and they are useless. The same things happen regardless.
-Downgraded to one hub compared to the multiple in ME2
-Possible LIs like Jacob, Jack, Miranda getting shafted
-Dialogue trees largely removed for lazy, short in-game chat
-Game bugs everywhere
-Tali's face blunder
-Graphical shortcuts in general
-New characters such as James, Diana Allers are poorly developed, no one cares about them
Anyway I could go on but my point is even without the ending how is this a 10/10 game for some people? Low standards lesbihonest

10/10 all the way.
I'm currently on another play through on ME2 (Hoping ID is true) and I really miss roll and heavy melee....

Imagine yourself before you finished the game. Let's say, you took a break right after firing the second missile launcher at the Reaper Destroyer in London, and that's all you knew about the game. What would you have rated Mass Effect 3 at that point out of 10, with 10 being Perfect?
8 out of 10.
-1p for the horrible quest log for all side quests. You had no real clue what to do or where to go or when to do it.
-1p for the scan pop'ups. I wanted the beacon ping or message transmission we had in ME2, plus I wanted some completion scene or background text of what was achieved so that I could be immersed in the story.
NOW, rate just the Ending.
1 out of 10.
-1p for being unaffected by past actions.
-1p additionally just due to it was unaffected by the Geth-Quarian peace and the development of EDI's personality.
-1p for no good epilogue for what happened to the npc, races and planets at large.
-1p additionally for sending Normandy to a different planet, which did not make any sense at all.
-1p for not being able to logically explain the reapers existence or purpose.
-1p additionally for stating that the reapers are there to ensure synthetics don't overthrow the organics, when the reapers just target organics, i.e. it does not make any sense at all.
-1p for delivering the same scenes in different colours.
-1p additionally for the wierd space-magic door B that felt totally out of place.
-1p for pushing people to play Multi-player in order to see Shepard's gasp for air.

If you rate anything lower than 8 you're clearly a hater or you didn't even played the game.
Ending 1/10
And that 1 point is because of they're ripping off Deus Ex 1, a good game.

I don't understand this opinion at all. The combat was excellently done I will give them that (best combat system in any game I've played IMO) but the dialogue was also drastically cut from previous games and the side missions were sparse. And then when you add in dropped story-lines, and the lack of impact some choices that were supposed to be huge made, lack of exploration I can completely understand how fans (especially people who are indifferent to combat and prefer the story side of the game) would rate it lower than an 8. Do you honestly think in terms of story and dialogue options it was up to par with ME2 and ME1?

0/10 for the ending. How would you like your explosion? Red? Green? Or Blue? Also, I now have zero desire to replay my other saves.

Cons:
-Quest log was horrible, especially since it didn't update to show you when you actually had what you needed.
-Character animations were buggy. Exorcist heads were plentiful, and my renegade had a habit of randomly growing a massive overbite and looking like Fire Marshall Bill.
-Ping problems are low in frequency on multiplayer but can be significant when witnessed. So significant that you can't actually kill anything except in melee. Also, your hotkeys will occasionally disappear and more than once a game started while I was stuck in a loading screen that never released me.
-Game has a tendency to neatly sidestep player choices from previous games, although this is rare.
-Not enough fleshed out relationships from ME1 and ME2.
-Day One DLC is actually on the disc.
-Contrary to popular belief, you can't get all of the endings without playing multiplayer.
Pros:
-Combat was fantastic and responsive.
-Map tags were a huge improvement. Didn't make up for the horrible quest log, but still useful given the weakness of the quest log system.
-Even your smallest choices from the previous games in the series have an effect on the game.
-Graphically beautiful.
-Compelling narrative.
-Lots of creative ways to play paragon and renegade. Frees the player up to make choices instead of just portraying an archetype like in the original series.
-Some of the paragon/renegade interrupts are epic (especially with the Rannoch reaper).
-Multiplayer is not only fast and furious but also rewards you with steady upgrades.

without ending 9/10 journal, side quests and auto dialogue annoyed me
maybe I am late reading this thread but I found this kinda of stupid when the game is set up in different play styles. Nothing auto dialogue for me, since I chose what my character would say!
I would give it a 10 up until the last 10 minutes. the rest was a 0 in my book!
