Excellent game. Found it a bit repetitive and replays are not very fun. Am finding parts of it rather poorly scripted.
It is also utterly dependent on the other two games in the trilogy.
Combat is not very fun.
This compares to:
ME 2 8.5/10
ME 9/10
DA:O 8.5/10
DA 2 7/10
Skyrim 7.5/10

9,8 if we stopped right in the Anderson-Shepard scene watching the Earth together.

9/10. A few plot problems, graphical issues, bugs removes 0.5, Day 1 DLC partially on disc removes another 0.5.

Without the endings this is easily the best game series I have ever played. 10/10.
With the endings, I just can't rate it at all. To me, they really did just utterly spoil the whole story.

10/10 loved everything about it, just the last 15 minutes wasn't on par with the rest of the game. Besides the ending the game was incredible and Bioware has done a great job on the whole franchise,
mass effect.

Without the ending? Easy 10/10, no question about it. Best series I've ever played without a doubt. I cried countless times. But that was because I thought what I was doing would actually mean something. Mass Effect's main theme for me was hope, despite the odds, and overcoming the impossible.
Then the ending came and kicked me in the teeth. "Hey, never mind. Everything you did was useless, the Galaxy is screwed."
Including the ending, 1/10 simply because I'm incredibly pissed. and rather shocked, that they would ruin the world they worked so hard to create, in 10 minutes.

10/10 for my experience without ending. 7.5/10 for product quality (glitches, bugs, sometimes weird animations, multiplayer bugs)

9.8/10 before the ending. One of the best games ever. The only thing that kept it from being a 10 was the cover system/mechanics occasionally didn't do what I wanted it to or told it to do.
The ending changed it to a 2.5/10, and it is that low because it retroactively invalidates the other 2 games.

9/10
Journal was pissing me off but I can take that as minor issue in face of the whole game. Squad interaction may have been larger, not just non-interactive dialogues 90 percent of the time. Otherwise, perfect.

9/10 for the entire Trilogy... As much as I loved it, there were a few things that never sat right with me, but overlooked them due to the addictive story, but it does mean I could not give a perfect score...
Faults :
ME1
* 'Hacking' resource nodes was kinda ridiculous;
* Too much time spent managing inventory;
ME2
* Removal of too many RPG elements;
* Planet scanning to recover resources was tedious and very monotonous;
ME3
* Removal of companion side-missions was disappointing;
* Mission log was terrible - happy it did not spoon feed you on how to do the missions, but updating your progress would have made life easier

Best game I have ever played. And then the ending came.... Still not sure I would change my rating with the ending, but I would certainly put an asterisk beside it

An "A-" from me without the endings. Definitely. Was not happy with the heavy push to MP and other minor issues.

I'd have to say 8.5/10.
The game doesn't feel as long as it should be, the epic finale and all, and the journal is pretty poor. Plus, the shadow glitch on my laptop are fairly annoying, I had the same problem with them in ME 2, but we had a general fix for them there.
Also a nitpick, but I was a little disappointed about not getting Tali until 11-12 hours into the single player. Multiplayer is fairly decent for a few matches but I can't really go more than an hour and a half of it before it grows old. It's good for sporadic bouts, not long sessions.
However, everything else is golden about the game. Had a great time playing it (until the end).

Without ending = 11/10. Seriously.
It was the best game I ever played, which means it diserves more then a perfect score, up until you get teleported to the catalyst and the star boy showed up.
Le Sigh...

9/10 - The start really stunk too but that is easily lost. I really thought we'd get something more substantial than what was in the demo. Why couldn't some of the cutscenes from the commercials have been used to show the initial destruction? Everything else from Mars to the missile battle is top notch.

Final mission doesn't matter because assets aren't actually meaningful in any manner and don't matter and are instead replaced by a generic army and fleet that dies and is not technologically compatible with the lore of the current technology out.
Game is incomplete, you waste a large amount of time building up a fleet for no reason.
Incomplete games don't get good ratings.
