I'm on Purgatory trying to talk to Cortez, and it won't let me. I'm a FemShep trying to complete the friendship with him so he doesn't die at the end. I have the recent patch uploaded and everything, and yes I have saved and reloaded. Even restarted my computer as well as restarting the game itself.
Specs:
12 gigs DDR3 RAM
Radeon HD 6850 1g
3.016 Quad Core i7
Sabertooth X58

Same problem, he says something like 'let's have a drink in purgatory' Cortez, Joker and Edi are there and none of them want to speak to me.

I'm on Xbox but am having the same problem. I'm noticing a LOT of the side quests like this have serious bugs. I think they might be related to the Cerberus attack on the Citadel.

Just a word of advice: don't put off side quests. Anything that says 'Priority' should be done last.

I'm playing Female Shepard and am having the same problem. The red circles appear to talk to Joker and EDI, but not Cortez. I see him there, but I can't select him to talk. Does he still live if you made it this far in the friendship without talking to him?

Yes, you need to be there for him at the memorial wall. If the red circle doesn't appear, leave Purgatory and come back. Maybe it'll fix the issue.

It doesn't fix for me, and it's just one minor bug/glitch. His e-mail came after the coup, but if you on the Citadel and check Purgatory he"s there, well the map says, but no talk. But you can talk with Jack, and receive her e-mail after the meeting in Purgatory is happened. :S

If I recall correctly, this talk with Cortez must be done before Cerberus attacks the Citadel.

That's exactly the same thing that happened to me.
No problem with Jack, since I got to talk to her, anyway.
But... Cortez? I did all I had to do and now I'm stuck? Fix??
