Insert massive LOLWUT.

Each time I have used the D2D support it has sucked harder than Zevran on tequila tuesday. I have games that I have purchased months ago, that I haven't been able to install because of courrpted files. I've tried everything. The grand culmination of my support efforts has been, "uhhh, try to redownload it."

Holy hand granade, never would have thunk that myself.

This is after weeks of them sending me the same non-applicable text that is freely avaliable on their "support" site.

124 games through Steam. Not one problem.
14 through D2D. 3 that are uninstallable to me.
One. Hundered. Twenty. Four.  No problems.

I know who butters my bread...

Ok, look at steam now. the game has been DELAYED:

Available: 6 November 2009
This game will unlock in approximately 3 days and 17 hours

while Deluxe edition still says 3 November (didnt update yet I guess)

Did they pull the same thing with DAO that I described with Borderlands above?

Take it up with Steam. I don't think Bioware has any say in the matter.

Yup.  I don't think we can offer any more advice than what you said you are already doing.. open the steam ticket and see what they can do.  I don't think this makes steam incompetent...

More than likely it is how Steam is set up.

When I would go through D2D for games, depending on the problem (if it is with the game itself I am told to go to the publisher IE Bioware ... but if it is with the downloader, I make support ticket with D2D)

I hope you get it fixed though!

Ignoring that we can make everything (and so much more) in the toolset, just buy the deluxe edition as well. Have the refund process pending while you play the deluxe edition.

But of course, you could just save the money and wait for someone else to make those items.

There is no "upgrade" system. By "upgrade" Steam means "or you can buy this better but more expensive version if you want".

2Nassou: Its not about money. I could get it for free from torrents too.

2Naelven: Bioware can answer some of the questions up there. I think they do know everything about their own DLC don't they ?

Face, say hello to Palm.

But I am sure there customer support (why they dont support phone baffles me) is able to help you with it, pre-release wise though

Because one phone call from each customer will take away pretty much all their profit they made from that game sell.  For a company like that, each customer that calls them would cost them about $8 per call.
