One problem I have is the occasional inability to "log in to EA servers" which seems to negate recognition of my "From Ashes" DLC. At first I thought Origin would be much like my experience with Fallout New Vegas and Steam. I didn't want steam, and I loath being held hostage by some third party online ap, but I soon realized that I could game "offline" and it wouldn't effect my experience. Origin seems to be the exact opposite. Without it, Mass Effect 3 is useless. Software and DLC that I've purchased and licensed, which belongs to me, is invalid because an unrelated application is unable to access a server that should be completely irrelevant to single-player PC gaming. Without it I can't even access content I've already paid for??? This doesn't seem fair. I should be able to access my software regardless of network connection.
