So my question/theory is this. When Sovereign was first blown up in the first game fragments of him landed through out the Citadel. When that happened it is stated in the second game that not all the pieces of him were recovered so it must be asumed that part of him was still within the Citadel through out the course of the game. So... when Shepard is talking to the Catalyst is it possible that Sovereign manipulated the events transpiring within the Citadel in order to trick Shepard into getting himself killed or Indoctrinated?

1. I say this because if you look at the events from the first game and the events which happened to the Illusive man, you notice that they both stumble down the same paths of indoctrination and Sovereign would know of this because he had a link with Saren so he plugged the memory into Shepard once he reached the Citadel.

2. Sovereign has said that Shepard stumbles ignorantly inside the artifacts he has found across the galaxy so this means that he was able to see into the mind of the Reapers so in theory, the reapers could do the same to Shepard! In this case the Catalyst projection was the image of the child because Sovereign looked into him and saw the child which haunts his dreams.

What do you guys think? It could also be Harbinger and Sovereign working together to screw over Shepard. Just my two cents....
