As an avid fan and supporter of the Mass Effect franchise, I had no problem pre-purchasing the Collector's Edition.  In fact, my friends and I joked about how we would be willing to pay several hundred dollars each for the privilege of playing Mass Effect 3.  We made fun of the people who complained about having to pay $20 more for the DLC.  

Now, nearly 2 weeks after buying the game, I wish I hadn't.  It's unplayable.  Half of the time I try to play, the EA servers are down.  I cannot play the single player without my "From Ashes" DLC being authorized, and even when I do get through to the servers, I constantly get popups that ruin key cinematic moments.  I don't want to experience Mass Effect 3 like this, and I feel that the pirated version will provide a far superior single-player gaming experience.
